If people were to see this, they would've seen green and purple trailing lights that clashed with a force that left shockwaves that destroyed trees and left craters in their awake.
Green and purple met in the middle of the area—
And the world was bathed in grey

One year later
"You good?" A gruff voice sounded. The voice belong to a long haired centaur that has been aroused from sleep.
"Ja."
Another voice said, but this one is silky smooth like a velvet. One wouldn't identify the gender of the speaker without seeing him. His voice was soft, sometimes hot, Sometimes cold and all consuming.
Icarus, the speaker, answered Chiron from where he was seated. His outfit hadn't changed much in the years he spend here but what had change was his long hair, he cut it. Now he has a short haircut that is neatly trimmed, his short tresses are curled and twisted on his head. On the sides, he had braided it. Another thing that had changed was his shirt, he had traded it for a leather amour, perhaps a more suitable term would be, a spandex amour like shirt with high mid collars.
He looked himself on the mirror and nodded, pleased with his appearance even though he quite disliked it.
Maybe Robin was onto something.
'Clothes make'th the man and the ladies man.'
"You got everything?" Chiron inquired worryingly.
Icarus looked at him, amused.
"Im worried, Icarus. This quest isn't like any other I've seen." Explained Chiron.
"Wow, so little trust in lil ol' me? The person that two Gods trained?" Icarus said that in a mock hurt.
"Im serious, Icarus! And don't let that arrogance get over your head." Said Chiron reprimandly. This child was getting on his nerves.
"Yha, yha." Icarus ain't an idiot, he knows that the quest is a dangerous one. One that can make both his teachers worry about it.
"Many heroes had failed to complete this prophecy." Chiron said.
Icarus was looking over the map to deduce the island that the prophecy was talking about. Hearing his teacher say that, he was stunned. Wait..." I was not the only who was given this prophecy? Why?" That's what he want to know the most, not because he felt that his prophecy belonged to him, thus no person has any right to go on it but because many people had gone on it.
His teacher sighed tiredly and sat next to him. "I wasn't supposed to tell you this but the prophecy given to isn't normal."
He rolled his eyes at that. Like Hecate haven't told him that.
"What you're going to collect is the Concepts of the world, The anchors that hold the heavens, Underworld and the Earth in place. Without them... The world may as well stop existing because all magic, Gods, beasts etc are going to disappear." His teacher delivered that with great amount of dread showing on his face.
Icarus amused slipped down his face like oil to water. He suddenly felt apprehensive about this prophecy. I-f...I-f this is the events that led to magic not existing in the modern times then it started here?!
He was made to believe that gods going to the Reverse Side was because Gaia and the Will of Humanity split up.
"H-how? I mean why don't the gods collect the Concepts themselves?" Icarus felt like he's on the verge of dying, 'oh.. —he realized— we're all going to die.'
Strangely enough, and for perhaps the first time in ever Icarus doesn't want to die. T-this thought scared him, he searched why he doesn't want to die and the only thing that poop up in his mind is... Medea's happy but embarrassed face and her voice 'Come on, Ica. I promise I'll behave. Let me come with you on your quest! '
'hmm. how about this.. I'll complete the first stage of my quest and then I'll go to Colchis to visit you there.'
'If you promise that you'll spend many months with me!'
'As my princess commands'
Medea, oh god Medea. Icarus felt tears in his eyes threatening to spill, his eyes glassy.
Icarus knows what love is and he knows that right now, it got him by the balls.
'"Oh.." He said, but he felt his voice distantly away from his mind.
Medea's gonna die.
I'm going to die.
Death is a natural order of life, everything dies, even the gods can die. But Icarus want to spend one last moments with Medea if he's going to die! Not going on some prophecies and dying like the hero he's not!
For the first time since he was born in ancient greece, Icarus doesn't want to die.
Chiron looked at the child— man now, he's a man— who paled at what he just revelead. "The Concepts came from Chaos, No God can't touch them. Only Mortals, I'm afraid. And even then Only pure mortals can."
Icarus came to and questioned. "B-but how can I touch them? how can I collect them if they're concepts?" Not to mention that they came out of Chaos, it goes without saying that they'll be quite powerful.
"They're in the physical plane, so they took a form that mortals can see and touch."
"I-m...G-gonna take a walk to refresh my mind."
Icarus felt like a mess — not that he wasn't before but this was diff—
Originally, he wanted to collect the concepts just so he can live in peace but now...
Medea's life is on the line
A-And I can't accept that.

Icarus took a puff of fresh air and closed his eyes.
His mind keep replaying what his teacher had told him.
'Right now, a cigar would be nice.' He thought. Of all urges that came with him in this world was smoking. Although he was not a smoker in his past life, he only smoked like...once? Yhea that's it. Some of his friends were smoking weed, he tried that shit and woke up the next morning sick.
So, when his friends were smoking weed he would smoke a cigar. Even that he only smoked it once but he got addictive to the taste of it. He never smoked again but that didn't mean the urge to light up the chimney had faded away.
Nonetheless, a good smoke was required to calm his troubled mind right now.
As what Chiron had said replayed on an endless loop in his mind, he found something that he didn't catch before.
'If the world had needed anchors to stabilize it, what happened to it?'
And wasn't that a thousand Drachma question?
Did something shatter the world?
Did something happen to the world?
Icarus shook his head and sighed. 'Its no use speculating, I have to find answers'
He took a deep breath and headed inside again.

When Icarus entered the cave, he found his teacher, Chiron, drumming his fingers on the table with an obvious display of anxiety.
When he saw him entering the cave he stood up fast and walk to him.
"Have you calmed down now?" He asked.
Icarus nodded mutely and plummeted down on the chairs around the circular table.
A heavy silence descended in the cave as both of them contemplated the matters of the quest and what it entails.
Icarus was the first one to break it.
"So... What does the prophecy say?" He dragged out.
Chiron seem reluctanted to share the prophecy as he was in a mental battle with himself but logic won out.
Seeing that he can't win this, he sighed and—
"You shall Venture to the island
Where the son and the daughter favored by the heavens were born
To the land of the suffering Mother lay
To the land disconnected from Gaia
Three unique gifts given to the Sun
Shall see you pass the test
A domain of the Mother
shall be where your destination
Conclude."
As soon as Icarus heard this his face darkened. He joined the dots that the prophecy gave him, trying to find such place that was mentioned in the Greek myths.
They're three clues that were given to him. A domain of the mother
To the land disconnected from Gaia
where the son and daughter... were born.
As he was trying to piece the clues together like puzzles, realization struck him then and there. There's only one land disconnected from Gaia, there's only one island where two god's were born. And all of the gods that born there, they're two daughters favored by the heavens themselves but only one was born naturally.
His heart sunk as he realized the inevitable.
Because the only island/land that he can remember describes as such is—
The Isle of Delos
F*ck!
