"I literally just repaired it..! How tough are the mole-foxes compared to mole rabbits?! Repair."
Viria gasped in disbelief, calling out the command again and having a faint light engulf both the broken soul artifact of his and the mole-rabbit bones in his other pocket before the weapon was back in perfect condition.
"..."
After nodding to himself with satisfaction, the bloody-black-haired young man kneeled down and cut at the hind legs of the defeated monsters to get to their bones...
"Wait... wouldn't fangs and claws be better...?"
He flinched and wondered out loud with his prison shiv hovering above the freshly cut flesh.
Going for the bones in the hind legs was something that Viria got used to with the mole-rabbits, but what worked for them might not yield the same results for the new creature.
"Hmmm..."
A bothered young man still ended up carving out the monsters' bones out and crushing them with a rock, but then he also ended up obtaining some of the claws and teeth with the same method.
"You did a good job, but better trash means a better weapon. Remake."
Viria smiled at the soul artifact in his hand and called out another command.
[Pick trash from your possessions to use as a material for remaking your soul artifact:
-mole-fox bones-
Available augmentation
-mole-fox claws-
-mole-fox fangs-]
"Oh."
The dialogue window that appeared for the young man got rid of the hardest choice that he thought he would have to make.
"Use mole-fox bones."
Viria gulped down his saliva and clarified his choice.
With that, the dim light covered the ingredient and the weapon, and only after a second or so it faded away leaving the young man with his new weapon.
[Prison shiv (mole-fox bone) – low grade soul artifact – it sometimes breaks but can be remade from any kind of trash in your possession.
Abilities – Bone weapon (The higher the mastery level, the higher the damage dealt by the weapon) -Ambush hunter (Boosts the damage dealt to enemies unaware of the user's presence)-
Available bonus skill slots -1-
List of available skills:
- Rabbit strike (Adds the speed of a mole-rabbit's jump to the attack) [Mastered]-
Mastery – level 0/12
Durability 35/35 –repair– -remake-
???]
"..."
The new description left the young man speechlessly staring at it.
"Bonus skill slot? That's why mastery of a skill is a thing?!"
[Only one bonus skill available – set the -Rabbit strike- as the bonus skill?]
Viria gasped in disbelief, and for some reason this time the dialogue option with explanation did appear even though it wasn't exactly the question that the young man asked.
"Yes! Of course!"
[Prison shiv (mole-fox bone) – low grade soul artifact – it sometimes breaks but can be remade from any kind of trash in your possession.

As he confirmed his choice, the description of his soul artifact changed accordingly.
"Hold on... What if I..."
Viria held his breath, looking at the mole-fox fangs (trash) and mole-fox claws (trash).
"Augment my soul artifact with mole-fox claws."
Viria demanded, and his improved weapon and the selected trash lit up.

"Yooo! Augment it with mole-fox fangs too!"
In his excitement, Viria ended up forgetting that the augmentation does not stack with each other and the new one would replace the old one...
[Prison shiv (mole-fox bone) – middle grade soul artifact – it can break but can be remade from any kind of trash in your possession.
Abilities – Bone weapon (The higher the mastery level, the higher the damage dealt by the weapon)- -Ambush hunter (Boosts the damage dealt to enemies unaware of the user's presence)-

...but it turned out to not be a bad thing at all...!
"M-middle grade?!"
Viria gasped, stumbling back and rising his soul artifact up, gazing upon it as if it was a gift from heaven.
"!!!"
Viria's eyes shone with wild desire and he immediately grabbed the corpse of the other mole-fox and got a hold of the bones, fangs, and claws – turning them all into trash and staring away within his clothes.
"Fox swipe looks like it can be mastered like rabbit jump, but the cultivation needs to be done with the middle grade attribute obviously~!"
The young man cheered out with excitement already planning out how he would train in the most efficient way possible.
*rumble*
"...!"
As if he was a mole-rabbit, Viria's ear twitched and he moved his head towards the direction of the new sound.
It was already long into the night, almost morning, to tell the truth, so the spawn rate of the monsters was the lowest it could be – but still, there was something different about the footsteps.
They sounded like mole-rabbits but were too heavy...
That could only mean...
"A rare spawn~"
Despite being hungry and tired, Viria smiled with excitement – he should have the bones of the last rare spawn mole rabbit that he encountered in his shack, probably, but getting more would mean that he could use them to repair his soul artifact.
