(J.J. POV)
Waldorf has required every single one of us to attend the recognition day for student awardees and I am not exactly thrilled because this usually lasts for hours.
Ugh!
"Good morning everyone." Beverly, the school principal greeted.
"Dude, do you ever wonder how many turtlenecks she has?" I joked which caused Marco to laugh.
"You're so mean."
"No, seriously. Look at her. Did you see her ever wear anything aside from a turtleneck?" I asked.
"Let me call on Mr. Ned Milligan, the president of Waldorf's Writer's club to announce the first award of the day." She said. Ned went up onstage and I couldn't help but cheer.
"Yeah! Go Ned."
"Good morning, now that the first semester was over and I went over every school papers we released, there was one writer who stood out particularly not only because of his writing style but because he writes with so much care and authenticity. He stayed true to himself and he wasn't afraid to show that with his writing. Without further ado, the award for best student writer of the semester goes to…Ravine Canella!!!"
Everyone began clapping so I started clapping too.
The minute I saw who the awardee is, my wolf lost it. It's him! IT'S HIM.
It's that blonde haired cutie.
"Congrats, Ravine!" Ned said through the microphone. Ravine, such a pretty name! How long have they known each other?
I see my mate shaking Beverly's hand before retrieving his certificate and taking a bow. He was beaming with pride and joy and nothing makes me happier than seeing my mate happy.
"Marco, that's my mate!! That's him." I said.
"What? Really?"
"He's cute, isn't he?" I said.
"J.J., go to your mate right now." My wolf kept on whining but I did my best to control myself. Now's not the right time. There are too many people.
"J.J., don't lose sight of him." My wolf begged.
"I WILL NOT."

(Ravine POV)
After the awards ceremony, Frida and I went home and Sister Blanche heard the good news so she treated all of us to a pizza and boy, can I just say we are stuffed as hell?!
Right now, I am taking out all our trash to the curb for the garbage truck to pick up when I felt a presence watching me. You know the feeling that you get when you are being watched by someone? That's how it feels and it's terrifying.
I looked around to see the street completely deserted and empty but I know there's something lurking. I suddenly heard the noise of the trees behind me so I turned around to see what it is.
Please, just be a squirrel. Please, just be a cat.
All of a sudden, a pair of bright yellow eyes appeared.
"What the…?"
And an extremely gigantic and larger than normal…wolf emerged from the shadows and began walking towards me. I was trying to be as calm as I can and I was backing away slowly so it wouldn't run after me but panic just got the better of me.
So yeah, stupidly, I ran!
"Ahh!" I screamed.
It took a nanosecond for the wolf to tackle me. How foolish am I to believe that I can outrun it?
It licked my face over and over again. I felt grossed out.
"Ahh! Stop it! Stop! Help!" I screamed.
It didn't stop. It licked me repeatedly.
"Fuck!" I yelled.
"Ravine!!!" Frida and the rest of the girls came out of the house, scaring the wolf away.
They all went to me and Jenny helped me up.
"Ow!" I said as I rubbed my head.
"Was that a fucking wolf?" Rita asked.
"No shit!" Joan answered.
"What happened?"
"The wolf licked and drooled all over me, that's what happened."
Even though I smell so awful right now, I couldn't complain because I am just grateful that the wolf didn't maul me to death.

(J.J. POV)
"J.J., where the hell have you been and why the hell are you naked?" Rosa asked.
"To my mate!!" I simply replied as I passed by her and made my way to my room.
"It feels so good kissing him." My wolf laughed.
"You fucking asshole, you scared him off." I retorted.
"Hey, don't act like you didn't like it. We both know that you enjoyed it too." He said.
"I know but we have to be careful next time. We could've broken his leg or something."
I went to my bathroom and took a quick shower. Afterwards, I put on some tank top and shorts before doing my school work. Somebody then knocked on the door.
"Who is it?"
"Marco."
"Come in."
He came in and gave me an unimpressed look.
"You stalked him, didn't you?"
"Yup. You want to know what else I did."
"What?"
"I kissed him over and over again." I said.
"In your wolf form?" He raised a brow.
"Yup."
"J.J., you realize you could have injured him?"
"Oh shut up, you're not my mother." I said before going back to my school work.
"I'm just saying that's not the way to approach your mate."
"I couldn't wait anymore. I couldn't find him in Waldorf. I couldn't go near him during the awards ceremony so what am I supposed to do? What choice do I have? My wolf is longing for him already. Also, stop lecturing me about what to do and what not to do with my mate, you haven't even experienced having a mate yet. I am pretty sure you would do what I did if the same thing happened to you."
"So are you going to stalk him now every night?"
"Maybe."
