Chapter 15 - Headache

"What is big brother Sean thinking? I'd recommended so many suitable women to him before, and he immediately said to mind my own business. Now he's suddenly married to a shareholder and owner of a small perfumery company," said one of Sean's brothers.

"Such a little kid, it's enough to give her money to play. Was Sean's brother marrying her well thought out? It could just make something bad."

"She became Sean's brother's partner. Who knows, we might have to give her some face in the future. We live to this age and still have to respect someone who is almost the age of our children. Do you think that's true?" said another.

"Now we can only ask Mother to return to this house as soon as possible. Only when Mom is here can we stay in this house feeling better."

"I called Mom and she can't go anywhere right now. There was no way for her to be able to return immediately. Mother said to wait. Whatever happens, don't bother her by calling now. If she can adjust matters there, she will come back to handle these things."

"Now we can do nothing but wait for aunty to return." Sean's cousin said.

Sean came out of the bathroom after washing himself and saw Deanna sitting on the bed watching him.

He said, "There are lots of rooms on this floor where you can sleep. You don't have to force yourself to sleep with me."

"I didn't push myself." Deanna looked at the handsome man and said, "We are a legal couple now. Isn't sleeping in the same bed normal? After all, if Austin found out that we slept in separate rooms right after we got married, wouldn't he use this to humiliate and mock me? "

Sean was a little tired and did not want to say much. He pulled the covers off and climbed into bed, trying to calm his mind and body.

Deanna saw that Sean looked pathetic in his physique and drew closer to the man's side. Denna looked at Sean's face and asked "Are you tired?"

"Hmm." Sean was tired. He had to relax his brain and body immediately. Otherwise, he will be dizzy for the next few days.

Seeing this, Deanna no longer interfered with the man's rest. She turned off the main light in the room by remote control, leaving only the dim yellow nightlights on either side of the bed. She then lay down beside Sean to sleep.

After living alone at the bottom of a cliff and forest for sixteen years, Deanna had grown accustomed to being alert. Otherwise, she could be attacked by snakes, vicious ants, poisonous insects, or even wild animals at any time. Sleeping beside Sean and smelling the handsome man's scent gave Deanna a safe feeling. This was the first time Deanna had slept so comfortably in years.

Deanna suddenly woke up in the middle of the night because the smell that made her comfortable and safe had disappeared. She opened her eyes and, sure enough, saw that the other side of the bed was empty. Deanna sat up and saw Sean sitting on the sofa by the mirror.

Deanna got out of bed, walked over to Sean, and asked, "What is wrong?"

"Nothing, go back to sleep," said Sean with his eyes closed. The more Sean lay down, the worse his headache got. He had to sit down, trying to rest.

Even if Sean did not say it, Deanna knew that the man could not sleep because of his headache. Deanna had seen Sean relapse in her previous life, and his headaches were much worse than now.

Deanna entered the room dressing room and opened the suitcase she was carrying. She returned to the bedroom with the things she had prepared beforehand for Sean.

Sean could not stand it, and his head felt like it was going to explode at this moment. His whole body was tense, and he could not relax. The more he was like this, the more tired he became.

The more tired Sean got, the worse his headache got. Sean had been suffering from headaches for the past few years, which doctors said were caused by a previous car accident. In addition, the work that accumulates without adequate rest also worsens the situation.

This is why, as soon as Sean finds out that Deanna was injured while saving him, he always asks that Deanna rest well and go to the checkup on time. He did not want Deanna to suffer such an unexpected wound like him.

When Sean first takes over the management of the Johnson family company, he gets involved in a car accident orchestrated by someone who wants to destroy Sean and the Johnson family.

He was injured on the head, but the wound healed quickly, and the doctor said it was okay then. As soon as Sean officially took over the Johnson family company, he started handling all kinds of a work morning, noon and night. This includes establishing connections and communicating with investors directly.

Sean's daily sleep time was no more than three hours. Sometimes Sean did not even get to sleep for days and could only take a quick nap in the car before starting to deal with business.

After more than eleven years like this, Sean suddenly fell ill. He did not care about it at first, but as the pain gradually became more and more serious, he went to the hospital for a checkup. The doctor prescribed many drugs for Sean, but only a few were effective. After a while, it had no effect at all. The doctor told Sean there was no better way than to relax the body and mind, especially the brain's performance.

Sean has tried to relax in various ways. He fell in love with extreme sports. Moreover, whenever he was finished with the stimulation, Sean felt relaxed in his mind and body.

Sean suddenly smelled a mild herbal scent that felt cold. It gives a calming and comfortable feel. Sean opened his eyes and saw the incense burner Deanna had placed on the table and asked, "What is this incense? Do you have it?"

"This is aromatherapy incense. Useful to relax and make someone sleep easily, this is what I made myself." Deanna answered while looking at Sean.

Sean closed Deanna's eyes, carefully smelling the scent of burning incense. To treat his headache, he tried many methods. From the Victorian era to the present day, aromatherapy has been popular with high society for a long time, but it has never been effective for Sean despite repeated attempts.

However, Sean did not want to say that the incense therapy did not affect him. Because Sean didn't want to argue with Deanna, he had asked many master-level aromatherapists to help concoct a medicinal incense concoction to relieve headaches. Their efforts never had a good effect, let alone Deanna, who was not even a professional perfume and incense maker.

Sean thought that Deanna's incense smelled good. It had a scent that put Sean at ease even amid a headache.

'Seems like Deanna really is very talented.' Sean thought.

For sixteen years, Deanna lived alone at the bottom of the cliff and forest, and she was blind, deaf, and mute. She could only tell them apart by her sense of smell. In those sixteen years, she searched for food and judged her surroundings by the scent they gave off. When dangerous animals began to approach, even when they were still far away, Deanna could immediately smell them. It can also distinguish poison by just smelling it.

Deanna felt lucky that her sense of smell became much more sensitive after she was reborn. After testing several times to confirm her current body condition, Deanna learned that she had a clearer sense of smell from her previous life.
