Yura looked at Scarlett next to her. She moved her eyes trying to communicate.
'Scarlett, my powers are coming back.'
Scarlett's eyes opened wide.
'Really!'
'Yes, but not enough. At most I can kill 5 of the demons here.'
Yura glared at the soldiers around them. She watched the fire from the explosion burning the tents next to them. Screams can be heard from the distance, most likely the prisoners getting caught and killed.
Yura turned toward Scarlett and moved her eyes again.
'I'll cut your rope. I think they're after you, more than they're after me so try to escape.'
Scarlett looked at her in concern.
'I won't leave you!'
She muffled through the rag.
'I'll be fine... You know me, I'm your older sister.'
Scarlett was reluctant but finally agreed.
Yura nodded her head, then closed her eyes. She imagined a spell in her mind and a thin blue light pierced through the rope binding her. She did it again and cut Scarlett's rope off as well.
As soon as she was about to cut the rope from their legs, an earthquake shook the ground. An angry shout came from the entrance of the camp.
"Gore! What happened to this place!"
Gore felt the ground shake around him, he was a few miles away from camp fighting a cloaked individual. As soon as he recognized Gabriel's energy, he left the fight immediately and ran back. His body may be large, but his speed showed otherwise.
Upon reaching camp, a handsome man can be seen floating overseeing everything.
"Gabriel. Some pests got in and as you can see."
He waved his hand around showing the damage done to the tents.
"They made a bit of a mess."
Gabriel looked at him furiously.
"The moment I leave half the camp is already destroyed. This is why I don't work with demons."
Gore looked at him annoyed, after fighting that cloaked individual a lot of his energy was used up. He grudgingly left the battle and was nagged at soon as he got back. Nearly breaking his patience, his face darkened and his eyes showed killing intent.
Sensing the hostility from Gore, Gabriel looked at him disdainfully
"Do you want to pick a fight? With me?"
Gore released his killing intent and glared at the burning buildings.
"As I thought... Alright, enough. Gore the higher-ups told me to pick up the phoenix girl. They don't need the rest."
A smile returned back onto Gore's face and he said.
"Alright, then the rest is for me~"
Gore opened the cage and walked inside. His grotesque figure bumped against the door and white pus leaked out of his pores.
He looked at the red-haired girl and picked her up on his shoulder.
"I was looking forward to tasting you. But, I guess your friend would have to do."
The girl squirmed around trying to break free, but the demon's grip was too strong.
"Ooh feisty~"
Gore walked out and threw her toward Gabriel.
Gabriel observed her momentarily and said.
"At least your beauty can be admirable."
Soon he picked her up using divinity. He turned toward Gore and squinted his eyes.
"This is the last time the gods will work with you."
"You think we enjoy working with you too? Not in a million years."
Gabriel scoffed at Gore and teleported alongside the red-haired girl.
Gore turned back toward the cage with a perverted grin on his face.
"Heh heh heh, time to have fun~"
Gore started to walk toward the blue-haired girl, but as he was about to touch her a cloaked figure appeared right next to her.
Slash!
A black sword pierced through his chest. Pus erupted out of his skin and black blood trickled down the sword.
"Gahh! How dare you!"
The cloaked figure stared into the demon's eyes.
"You! How are you alive! Impossible you should be dead!"
The man twisted the sword, still in the demon's chest. A grueling scream erupted from his mouth and blood foamed on his lips.
"The demon kings will know about this... They will come for you."
The sword slashed upwards slicing the body in half.
"Then let them..."
The body lay motionless, and the figure retrieved his sword.
Scarlett looked at the man in front of her. Her face was grateful, but her eyes were cautious. She stood upright then asked.
"Can I know your name?"
The figure stood there silently, then said.
"Jester... Call me Jester."
"... What an odd name, but... Thank you for saving us."
Jester turned back around and started walking toward the entrance.
Scarlett looked at the man's back confused.
"Hey! You're just leaving? Just like that?"
"..."
Jester paused, turned his head back, and said.
"I need to rescue someone."
Scarlett ran up to him but tripped since her legs were still tied.
"Wait! Can you rescue my sister as well!"
"?"
"Please! Her name is Yura, and she has blue hair, but she used magic on herself to disguise herself as me, so her hair is just like mine."
Scarlett sat up and looked into his eyes.
"Please, save her... I'll do anything."
"...I promise."
"!?"
As soon as he said those words, he vanished.
Scarlett looked around only to realize that bodies lay dead on the floor.
'It wasn't the prisoners that were screaming...'
.
.
Gabriel teleported in a white platform covered in clouds. Next to him was a woman with red-haired staring daggers from behind.
Gabriel sensed her killing intent and scoffed.
"You think you can scare me? You're in my domain, a mere thought can erase you from existence, so sit down and behave."
Yura held herself back. She sat down on the platform and closed her eyes.
"Hmph, good."
Suddenly space distorted in front of them.
A middle-aged man with white hair and a white beard walked out of the distorted space. He was wearing an elegant robe with gold engravings in the seams. An aura of wisdom naturally came off of him. gabriel instantly kneeled on the ground and greeted the person in front of him.
"Greetings my lord, your humble servant kneels before you."
"Rise."
"Yes, my lord."
The man hovered his eyes on the girl behind Gabriel. His brow furrowed slightly, but this didn't go unnoticed by Gabriel. Panic began to set in, and Gabriel kowtowed to the ground.
"My lord. May I inquire about your dissatisfaction?"
"This girl is not the phoenix. You were fooled."
"!!!"
Gabriel turned around and used some of his divinity. His eyes glowed blue, then suddenly the girl in front of him, changed.
'You!!!"
"It was a simple request, yet you failed... I expected much from you Gabriel."
"My lord, please give me a second chance! I'll make up for this, so please let me go back."
The middle-aged man turned around and opened a portal in front of him.
"Don't disappoint me anymore. Understand."
"Thank you, my lord."
The middle-aged man disappeared from the portal. As soon as he left, Gabriel stood up from the ground. The entire space around him changed. The surroundings instantly turned dark, and the white clouds turned into hard stones.
"You dare disgrace me?"
His face darkened completely. He grabbed the woman's body with telekinesis and thrashed her around the walls. He continued until a red light flashed from above a voice sounded from his ears and his anger dissipated slightly. He threw her to the side and opened a portal.
"This isn't the end. Once I get back, you'd wish you weren't alive."
Gabriel disappeared from the portal after tying Yura up and leaving her lying on the ground. Large black spots began to cover her body and blood trickled down her nose. Tears came out of her eyes due to the pain.
She stayed motionless on the ground, her limbs nearly broken.
Yura closed her eyes.
'At least... your safe.'
Memories flashed in her mind about a handsome man with black hair.
'It's him again... I wished I get to see him...'
As soon as her consciousness was about she felt movement in front of her.
She instinctively used her magic and prepared herself.
Her hair began to glow and the dark cave lit up.
A man wearing a black cloak and armor was standing in front of her. He stretched his hand out and a soft voice came from his lips.
She looked into his eyes as he says.
"I won't hurt you... trust me."
