The room chattered from the exchange of conversation. Most kids wore a decent pair of uniforms.
Others have different patterns. Others have bronze, silver, and gold patterns from their clothes and a set of gems and crest accustomed in their chest.
As Seyric marched through the hallway, he immediately turned to the corner as he entered the room. He was greeted with many eyes as they checked them from head to toe.
They exchanged a glance as the voice grew more prominent from the crowd.
Seyric bit his lip and dragged his feet through the room as they followed him. he plopped down from the empty seat from the back.
He lowered his head as he surveyed the room. Students chatted from their seats, others stood, and others gathered in a group. But when Seyric turned to his side, he found a gold pattern uniform with a staff and a gem embedded to his crest.
The boy turned to face him as their eyes met. His violet eyes complimented his ginger hair. His eyes were deep, and his face was serious and distant.
Seyric tilted his head after he noticed the familiar look on the boy's face.
Damier scoffed, "What?"
Seyric pupils dilated as he shook his head, "Nothing."
Damier stared at him for a long time before he turned away.
Seyric leaned his back as he sulked in his seat and played with his hands.
Time flies quickly, as the kids, busy with themselves as they waited, now come up to draw figures and play. As for Seyric, he stared outside the window from the hall.
A figure of a tall man passed by from Seyric's sight.
Ceious held books over his hands. He wore a white suit and long-tailored pants with an eagle crest embedded in his clothes.
While Seyric eyes followed Ceious as he entered the room. The children began to disperse and went back to their seats. He marched towards the table in front, placed his books, and surveyed the crowd of kids.
Their eyes fixed into his way as they fell silent.
"Welcome to Star Crest Academy."
Ceious walked by the crowd as he gestured his hands.
Seyric barely comprehended his words, muffled by his ears as he sighed heavily and looked away.
Sometime later, Ceious finally marched back to the table and clapped. "Okay, let's start with Elemental Core. Can anyone name them for me...?"
Seyric finally looked back as the class exchanged a glance as chatter started.
"If anyone could, please raise your hand."
Seyric raised his hands.
"Yes?"
Seyric smiled from ear to ear. "There are the Elemental Core types. Which are the following Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth!"
"Correct." Ceious smiled and raised his brows, "Can you also name the 3 special elements?"
Seyric's hand clenched. His body trembled as he struggled to open his lips, "I... Iā"
"Light, Dark, and Lighting." Damier spewed as he barely raised his hands.
As Ceious turned to him and nodded his head before smirking at them both. "Impressive. It seems you both have a basic study about magic itself. I might have a good class this year, finally."
He cleared his throat. "Now, listen carefully."
He slowly gathered a small amount of mana and hovered his hand in the air. "The sole purpose of the Elemental Core is to give you the strength of the best element you can control."
Then a crystal flickered and suddenly formed above his palms as he flashed a dozen colors for the element cores.
"I know you have tried the Divine Orb of Classification. So you know what kind of element you have, according to the records... Most of this class possess wind element." He smiled before he scanned his eyes around and picked the book up as he turned the pages.
While Seyric bit his lower lips as he slowly raised his hands.
As Ceious glanced back to the crowd, he noticed his hand from afar. "Yes?"
"Sir, the previous teacher that made us put our hands over the orb, why wasn't my element announced?" Seyric fluttered his lash as a surge of emotion grew inside him.
"Oh, really? I'll go check later. For now, let's focus on the lesson before we go to the training grounds."
After Ceious finished his sentence, the class went ballistic as they started to chat in chorus.
Ceious sighed as he waved his hands in the air. "Alright, alright. Settle down. Pay attention first. If not, then there's no session in the training grounds."
Immediately, the noise died down as Ceious raised the book over his face and giggled silently before he parted his lips as he started to discuss the lesson.
"So, have you heard about the mana core?"
""No."" The class said in chorus.
Ceious nodded his head as he placed the book on the table. "Mana core is what holds the maximum amount of your mana. It is also your life and everything that you must protect.
Your mana core is fused into your Elemental Core, which is actually called Elemental Mana Core in the long term. Mana core gives power over the spell you're gonna cast."
After a lengthy discussion of the lesson, time flew quick, the Class 1-A had now departed from the room and now formed a bunch of crowds over the training grounds as they sat on the stone floor. Their eyes fixed on Ceious, who stood in front while his hand held over his back.
"Now. No classmates must be harmed by this training. If not, the cause of it will be punished immediately." Ceious reminded as the class listened closely to his voice.
After a long pause, he unclasped his hands and parted his lips. "I want you all to create a ball of fire using your mana core. Let me show you how."
Ceious offered his hands to the class as a red light subtle formed a ball of fire above his hand as it flickered.
"Now, I shall call over the names performing in front. Let's start with..."
Ceious mentioned the students' names as they all stood up front and they gestured their hands in front. Many of the crowd manage to create a ball of fire. Some manage to create one and vanish right after. Only a few weren't able to create.
Ceious glanced over the folder in his hands as he scanned the contents. He surveyed the crowd of students who sat on the floor. Yet he found the student who leaned over a wall, "Mr. Damier L'virdawn, please."
He gestured his hand in front as Damier marched away from the crowd. Without a second thought, he showed his hands, and a big fire engulfed his hands, and it momentarily boomed upon cast.
The students were taken aback and mesmerized by a vast fire flutter over his hands. Amongst the crowd, a cheer of awe and hum came in chorus.
While on the other hand, Ceious's face was in seriousness as he glared over his back.
Ceious placed his hands over his forehead as he massaged them. "Mr. Damier, please! I have said to prevent anything that can harm to cause in this class."
