Chapter 16 - Chapter 17 - Legends of Yesteryear n°1

[The legends of yesteryear fill the legends of heroes who have endured the most difficult battles and have survived in this Universe. So I will tell you these stories when unanswered questions arise.]

The fight against the demigod

I produced a portal and came across his mansion made of white marbled stones. The mansion was shining under the moon of this dwarf planet, a moon of magnificent silvery blue color.

I had to defeat this demigod. He had immeasurable powers and increased intelligence after all these years of existence. However my arsenal was no less advanced and my magic art was colossal. I amplified my voice:

"You, Lumadis, show that I am putting an end to your life, a rat that you are hiding at the edge of the Universe!"

"I am not hiding, on the contrary," replied a gentle and playful voice.

"I'm just enjoying the view"

I did not think any more and produced the black gaseous eternalis which was pouring over the house, violet lightning exploded in all directions and cracked the stone.

"Not bad, but it will take a lot more to kill me young glarin," said Lumadis, perched on an antenna in the house.

He disappeared and reappeared in front of me and then he made a jump kick to perfection. I raised my arm to fend off the blow but his leg went through and hit me making me fall to the ground under the power of the blow. It was as if his leg had become translucent, a silver color.

I jumped back and invoked two powerful spirits of fire and sleep. They attacked simultaneously, the spirit of fire blew a wave of fire of 15m high and the other cast an incantation of zone hypnosis. A purple fog was spreading and the heat came to create a kind of rough sea for tens of meters.

The demigod Lamadis absorbed the flames but was confused by the toxin in the air produced by the spirit. A thin layer of blue light illuminated around his body and he regained consciousness. As he recovered, I had time to assemble a magic infused spear that was brilliantly shining at the tip. I grabbed the gigantic spear and strengthened my body to the maximum with spells. My muscles tore my clothes when I threw the spear at the speed of a rifle bullet. A loud thud indicated that the spear had crossed the sound wall twice, hurrying towards the demigod. Then, for a flash, the spear was caught and stopped in the open air. Lamadis pivoted and projected in his turn, while I was stunned by this vision, the gigantic lance that pierced the spirit of sleep that disintegrated under the shock.

"And one less, your magic spring will run out small," said the demigod, laughing. He seemed to be having fun as I was thinking about my options. He played with me to understand my techniques and use the best tactics at once. My many attempts were always to end the fight as quickly as possible, because my mana reserve was running out very quickly.

I did a speed-increase spell and ran in a circle around the demigod, to find his weak points. I used my ability to detect vital points to achieve this. And I breathed a sigh when I saw that he had no weak point, his azure armor protected them all without defect. The fight heralded more and more deadly chances. I assessed the most suitable attack: I had perfected my fire attack and I could use my spirit summons to create a +6 rank 'nova eliptium' attack. I ordered my spirit to come to my side and touched it on the back of the palm of my hand. I put the arcane formula together and when only 10 seconds had passed, I created a giant fireball, the power of a small sun, which radiated heat. Everything started to melt around and my hand struggled to lift this heavy ball of mana and gamma waves. My opponent stopped to look at the huge ball, stunned by my magical power. I threw the sun which began to spin at a high speed.

Lamadis the demigod received it with full force and was thrown with the ball through a mountain which exploded under the shock. I approached him at a higher speed to see the damage. His whole body radiated radiant heat like an oven that had just been opened. His pale eyes began to move in their orbits to freeze on me. Then, like a dead man from his grave, he rose from his two feet. And he drained a violent uppercut into my liver, again perfectly executed. I was thrown about 20 meters and coughed up traces of blood. He had accepted the strength of my attack without flinching, I had to find a solution.

Then, in the echo of a voice that guided me slowly, my body slowed down its crazy pace and then one by one, I felt my mana meridian points open. My mana was growing by the eye, like a tsunami preparing to rage.

My opponent realized this and began to attack me with advanced martial arts that cut my breath and left me nasty marks on the body. However, my mana continued to grow. A new strategy opened up to me: to wait and resist the damage while the opening of the meridian points ended. I had no idea what happened in the rapidity of the actions that were taking place.

But I had a chance, and I was going to take it.

"It looks like I was hiding your game, little glarin, but it won't be enough to knock me down."

Then suddenly, blue horns appeared on his head, reasoning with a powerful mana. Waves of wind resounded in the valley and the manor crumbled under the charge. He wanted to end it but he had forgotten one detail: my mana was no longer growing. I felt the power of 250 open meridian points surge through me. I jumped back as he created a spell and did the same. I used my most powerful arcane formula: the 'dimensional greenhouse' which could cut time itself for a fraction of a second. The mana of my hands grew again and again to form a gigantic fake. Suddenly, a silver ball headed towards me at a brisk pace. I cut it easily and it evaporated.

"How?" Lumadis exclaimed with his eyes wide open.

And I cut a second time.

His body was torn from side to side, leaving only his lying body. I cried out to heaven for my victory.

"It's time to move on to bigger fish"
