Blessing of the great wise observer
Our adventure begins in the village of Mancrisse, where we find skilled villagers in masonry and crafts. It is in a precarious hut that our hero rises from his sleep, named Evo, he will tell us his stories in his own way in a newspaper. I, mere observer of this epic, would tell you the mysteries told through this universe. The stars are watching, so don't let them down!
[May your reading make you travel in this Universe, the story improves over the chapters, the hero wins in intelligence, good reading! ]
I start my life in a small village on the edge of the kingdom of Lamaliam, this village called Mancrisse is outside of any jurisdiction which makes it profitable for trade. My family moved 20 years ago to another continent to study forms of healing magic in order to continue to practice and evolve in the field of care.
I am 25 years old today, and the family that brooded me during my younger years is leaving for business, living in a nearby town, leaving me a small adequate hut where I sleep every night.
The city is protected by a force field bought by the inhabitants from a wandering druid. In this way, the lower monsters cannot enter the village. The city has already been attacked by goblin hordes, a wyverne (a small dragon from arid lands to the north), wolf packs and slimes. Today, these monsters remain on the edge of the city waiting for prey.
The local guild that sits in the guild pavilion is run by "Verdoyante", it is a superior guild formed by the association of several guilds.
This guild allows hunters and heroes to trade monsters' winnings for a reasonable price which represents a profitable market.
I am currently working for the guild as a monster hunter, I am still very low so my winnings allow me to cover my food costs as well as my consumption at the local bar. Today, I rise differently, a star would have given me his blessing? I then go through my statistics: 100 Pv, 20 Mana, 140 Endurance, 15 Force, 10 Sag, 20 Agility, 5 Intelligence, 30 chance. My stats didn't change during my last beer!
I don't have much intelligence because my nannies didn't bring me to magic school, elementary school, and all the schools whatever. However, I had 15 in strength, I did exercise very often lately which allowed me to gain 5 points. However, a status has just appeared since this morning: "Blessing of the great Wise Observer". What could it possibly be? I have not made any particular enquiries recently or pray profusely, I wonder where this can come from? So I decide not to pay attention, who knows? Maybe it's like the last party in the village where I got the "Great Sage of Beer" status all evening. I could drink without ever having any side effects. What a night!
Well, it's time for some early morning exercise: 100 push-ups, 100 abs, 50 squats and 5 km of running. I've gotten used to this pace. This allows me to gain 15 strength experiences points. It is possible to improve your stats without leveling up, it is common for a level 10 adventurer to have high stats due to training. I perform my exercise brilliantly, I even take the luxury of running 10 km more. Exhausted by this session, I decide to go to the guild to consult the quests! I am in excellent shape today! I feel productive, would that be status?
A quest to eliminate slime, a quest to exterminate wolves, etc... I choose to eliminate slime and arm myself with my short sword.
I forged it myself at the cost of many attempts but it is functional and sharp. So I go hunting!
The place is 2 km south of the city, I take provisions at the passage, sometimes I still passed the dawn. Arrived on the spot: I put my stuff down and get to the task, the slimes are mostly weak and gives magic crystals of low quality. That's how I forged my sword and a bit of steel. That makes it more effective against monsters of the same type.
I just got 50 I'm getting tired. " Notification! - New title obtained: Slime killer lvl1" What?! I didn't know we could get titles! I've never had titles, it's strange I've killed 200 before... Maybe it's the accumulation? Yes it must be that! Let's see this title:"Attack +50% against slime, Defense +50% against slime" Whouah! But it's awesome! " Notification! - Due to the title Slime killer, getting a dungeon key for the slime valley" Here! That too is new! *A key appears in the hands*.
A key? I'm wondering how you use it, do you find the door as well? By inadvertently operating the key, I find myself teleported into a valley. The Valley of Slimes! To get out: defeat the dungeon boss. It's a joke! I'm level 2, how can I do that!
Armed with my steel sword, I vain at the end of a hundred slime. The more I chain, the more my fatigue increases, I can no more! " Notification! -Level Gain +1" Whoua! I leveled up! Level 3 then, and I gained 5 attribute points. " Notification! -Due to the title Slime killer lvl5, you get 2 skills belonging to slime: 'Insensitivity to heat lvl1, Resistance to physical damage lvl1'". How is that possible? I thought you could only get skills from learners with skill books. Resistance to damage and heat, I see, this will prove very useful, I'm sure. Let's see what I'm going to invest my attribute points in? Strength! I need to hit harder, plus I'm a warrior, finally a swordsman. + 5 points in strength. Current strength: 20." Notification: - Due to relentless training, permanent increase in vigor.
Well, let's continue the exploration. As I walk through the slime valley, a hidden door appears on the cliff front. I'm heading down there greedily. "Entering the boss room, good luck". Oh, great. As I enter, I notice a stone throne in the middle of the room, and what appears to be a purple slime. *Vibrating walls*. 'Who comes to kill my fellow men!' sounded a powerful voice. The purple slime then changed into a person, a boy of the same age as me. Well we always have surprises. The boy then made appear a gigantic weapon axe and positioned himself in front of me. Body to Body huh? It knows me. It sliced the air and I had dodged at the last moment! He continued to clean me of blows that I struggled to dodge as the speed of his weapon was high, when suddenly I seized an opportunity to attack: as I narrowly dodged, I quickly straightened up and threw my short sword directly towards his head, I made fly. The sword froze in its skull dissolving on the ground into a purple pool. "Notification! -Level up +5 you have defeated the dungeon boss".
