After Violet's talk with Lilin, and she pulled Powder aside to make sure she's fine and reminded her of how they're getting back to home. She climbed the wall with Claggor and Mylo from the balcony and left the house.
Now left in the workshop were Lilin and Powder, who was taken to a chair by Violet, her eyes wide with nervousness.
There was silence in the room.
To ease the atmosphere, Lilin took the lead to break the silence: "Your name is... Jinx, right?"
"Jinx?" Powder's eyes flashed blankly, "I'm not Jinx, I'm Powder."
"Uh..."
Lilin choked, suddenly remembering that the fat boy just called her that.
So Jinx was called Powder before she went crazy.
"Sorry, I confused you with a girl in my memory."
Lilin changed the topic, and looked down at his watch.
"It's half past six, and the Kirammans have dinner at seven o'clock. I guess we have to wait for a bit and leave when everyone is eating."
"I, I'm fine." Powder shrank on the chair, sounding awkward.
Lilin glanced at her swollen ankle and sighed, "Your foot injury is not that serious, there shouldn't be any broken bones... I'll ask the servants for a bottle of medicinal and ice, do you need anything else? "
Powder shook her head, "No, no..."
This was the first time she was alone with an unfamiliar adult without Violet's presence, so it was inevitable that she was a little nervous.
However, her voice had just fallen, and a loud sound came from her stomach.
"Well..."
Powder couldn't help but blush, and buried her little face in her arms.
Lilin asked with a smile on his face, "What do you wanna eat?"
"No, I really don't..." said Powder.
"Tonight's dinner should be a bacon and egg sandwich with Shurima sun bread … and there should also be Bilgewater-style thornless fish and sweet cakes.
"Kiramman's family hire the best chefs to ensure that they can perfectly utilize the different ingredients of the regions..."
Listening to Lilin's description, Powder salivated and subconsciously swallowed.
"Oh and the yak milk shipped from Freljord and fermented by a special process, do you want to try it?"
"Yes!"
Lilin chuckled, "Okay, wait here, I'll be right back."
Watching this charismatic, maybe even a little handsome youth walk out of the room, Powder finally relaxed.
"Rich people..." She whispered to herself.
However, this state did not last long, and she soon had a new idea.
"One day, I'm going to be rich too, and let Violet and Vander, and Claggor and Mylo all live like this..."
"Live like what?"
A sudden voice startled her.
She instantly looked towards the balcony where the voice came from, and a familiar face surprised her, "Violet? You scared me to death, I thought you left?"
"I told Claggor and Mylo to leave first, they'll be waiting for us nearby."
Violet walked over to Powder and patted her hair dotingly, "How could I leave you alone with a stranger?"
Powder heard the distrust of Lilin in her sister's words, and asked: "But didn't he say that he's Vander's friend?"
"Do you really believe what he said?" Violet bent down and rubbed Powder's face, "Did you forget about what Vander said about not trusting people easily?"
"Nooo, don't rub my face~~" Powder mumbled with her face squashed, "but he also said he's bringing me food, I don't think he that bad..."
Hearing such a thing, Violet couldn't help but sigh, "Oh my God, bribed with just one meal?"
"What? What do you mean..." The bursting face revealed a blush.
"Forget it, at the moment he seems sincere enough." Violet stood up again, "I'll just be outside, if anything happens, just shout, and I'll come in right away."
"Okay, okay."
She said so, but she didn't actually take Violet's advice seriously.
He's not a bad person, at least not as bad as her sister thinks.
While thinking about it in her mind, Powder waved to Violet who left the room and went back to the roof from the balcony.
A few minutes later, the door lock of the room sounded softly, and Lilin walked in with a tray in his hands.
On the tray lay two round metal cups, one filled with ice and the other filled with milk, a steaming golden loaf of bread at least the size of a palm, bacon and fried eggs, a scorched red fish sizzling in oil, and two cream cakes adorned with a cherry.
The rich aroma of bread and grilled fish filled the room.
"It smells so good!"
Powder's blue eyes locked onto the food, and wiping her drool with the back of her hand.
She had never smelled so good before.
Lilin put the plate on the table, cut the fragrant and soft bread into two slices with a paring knife, then placed the bacon, eggs, and fish on one of the slices, and then covered it with another slice of bread.
A standard sandwich in the Kiramman house.
It would be perfect with lettuce and ketchup.
While thinking about burgers on Earth, Lilin handed the sandwich to Powder.
She was so excited, that she forgot to thank Lilin. She simply opened wide and took a bite.
The aromas of bread, bacon and eggs, and grilled fish burst on her palate, filling her mouth completely.
Tears of happiness rolled in her bursting eyes. She had never eaten such delicious food.
"Slow down. No one's going to take it from you. There's some cake and milk here."
Seeing that Powder ignored him completely and focused on the sandwich, Lilin took out a small bottle from his pocket.
This is Piltover's best bruise medicine. It works very well, but it's not cheap. Ordinary people can't afford to use it at all.
He unscrewed the bottle, poured some on his left hand, and squatted in front of the explosion.
"I'm going to apply the medicine, let me know if it hurts."
Powder nodded, Lilin grabbed the arch of her foot with his right hand, and gently pressed his left hand on the red and swollen ankle.
Her foot twitched.
After completing all the steps as described on the label, he wrapped all the ice cubes in a towel and put it to her wound.
Ten minutes later.
Noticing that the redness and swelling on Powder's feet had subsided a little, he asked, "Does it feel better?"
"Well, it's better than before, thank you." Powder pursed her lips and thanked Lilin softly.
"That's good."
Lilin wiped the water stains off her feet with a towel, put her shoes and socks back on, and checked the time.
"It's almost time, I'll take you outside."
His left hand wrapped around her shoulders, and his right hand the back of her knee, picking her up like a princess.
"Oh."
At this moment, Powder blinked and suddenly thought of something, "I… don't know your name yet."
"Really?" Lilin was stunned for a moment.
To the curious eyes, he slowly said his name: " Lilin."
"...Lilin?"
Powder nodded thoughtfully, and showed a bright smile.
"When you come to The Last Drop, come and play with me!"
