This feeling is new. It wasn't like this with Adams. The warmth, the happiness, the giddiness, the butterflies in my stomach..the tingly sensation. The urge i always had to be in his arms.
I didn't really expect i was gonna feel this way because of him.
I can't even believe I'm... I'm attracted to him. I fell in love again and this time...it's intense. Aiden...looks like your charms worked out well.
But then, tell me who wouldn't fall for a guy when he protects you...shows that he care, even if he's a jerk and gets you into really awkward and toe-curling situations? Like yesterday...?
Okay, I gave in and finally gave him my number before I would explode from the mixture of different feelings that surged through me and then, he let me go.
Raven and i, then proceeded to the Central law firm. I left my phone back at home, without Aiden's awareness.
He really might have tracked us and I didn't want him finding out where we were headed.
I just hope he feels the same way about me...i mean, the way i feel about him.
Who am I kidding by the way? I'm sure he doesn't even see me that way. How can he fall in love with me when the ones he loved, broke him? He wouldn't want to risk that again. I'm sure he doesn't believe in love anymore. I wouldn't blame him.
"Life is so full of sh*t" I massaged my temples as i went through my thoughts.
"Poor Aiden...I'll heal your heart, just wait and see". I murmured to myself, then gazed at my reflection on the mirror. I was in the bathroom.
"Just don't get mad at me for what I'm about to do". I sighed deeply.
I just hope it's not a wrong choice.
What's taking him so long?
I groaned as i glanced at my wrist watch...
School will start in an hour...
I heard the door bell chime from downstairs and i heaved a sigh of relief...then dashed out of the room to the sitting room.
He's here...
"I'll get the door". I told Rosita and she nodded, then went back to the kitchen.
"Thank goodness sir....I...." I paused when i opened the door and didn't see who i was expecting.
"Hey cheesecake". Raven waved.
"Hey....hi" I replied, then turned left and right, checking if anyone else was with her.
"Whoa...why do i have the feeling that you weren't expecting me?" She asked, walking in.
"Sorry...I thought you were someone else". I sighed.
"Oh, you're still expecting uncle Bob?" She asked, then scoffed.
"Like hell, he'll come".
"I know he will....he has to, today is his free day. After today, I'm not sure when he'll have the time to visit his family again".
"He's not gonna come hun, just accept it". She said... "Not after the way I talked to him yesterday". She walked in and i closed the door.
Seriously, I never should have taken her along...she caused more harm than good.
First, we had to pass the security and she really created a scene when they didn't let us through.
****Flashback*****
Yesterday evening.....
"Hey, stop right there". A security officer orders and approaches Raven, Mia and I.
"What do you want?" He asks.
"We're here to see the chairman". I reply him.
"He's in a meeting right now, do you have an appointment with him?" He asks.
"Actually....."
"Yeah...a serious appointment". Raven interrupts me, glaring at the officer, while she folds her arms.
"What's your name?" He asks.
"Raven fxcking Emerson! Does that ring a bell?" She asks in return.
"Are you related to Mr Bob Emerson?"
"Does it matter? Just let us through, we've got to see him". She says running out of patience.
"I'm sorry you'll have to wait, he's dealing with something important right now.
"More important than his family? I don't think so, just let us in and we'll save you the trouble of having to deal with three angry teenagers" She growled.
"Okay, I need you to back away, do you understand?" He stares at us like we're some crazy girls.
"Go back home and stop causing troubles. I'm sure your mummies and daddies are waiting for you guys" He says.
"Hell they are and you know what?" Raven asks,
"What?"
"Have you ever had a nose job?"
"No....why?" He furrows his eyebrows, confused.
"The goddamned chairman of yours is my uncle!!!" She yells and punches his nose really hard. I'm pretty sure it squashed.
He bends over, holding his nose and groaning..
"Now is our chance" Raven says and we race further into the building with the other security officer, yelling and running after us.
We encounter more securities but whizz past them before they even have the chance to stop us.
Everybody in the firm are staring at us like we're lunatics.
We get to a receptionist counter.
"Where's the chairman having his meeting?" I ask in a hurry.
"Who are you?". She asks.
"Fxcking answer!!" Raven snapped.
She reaches out for a telephone and I guessed she was about to call securities.
I snatch the telephone and slam my hand on her desk, making her jolt.
"Where is the chairman?" I ask.
"Wh-who are you girls?" She stutter, in fear.
"Young lady...if you don't answer right now... I'll strangle you...you hear me?!" Raven hisses with a glare.
"Stop there!" One of the securities that was after us yell as he run towards us.
"Eish! you nuisance..." Raven grunts...then pulls us and we run to the direction she points.
She takes off one of her boots and throw at him. Her aim perfect as it hits his face. Talk about craziness.
She pulls off the other boot to enable her run well and soon, we got to a door.
Without hesitating, I pull it open and we ran in, then lock it.
I pant heavily, holding my chest...
"That was close". I mutter and turn around.
I don't know how many....but a dozen or more eyes stare back at us, in surprise.
Looks like we found the meeting room afterall.
They're seated in swivel chairs and all in formal suits.
Okay...which one is the chairman?
"What's going on here?" One of the men speaks up.
"Sorry to rain on your parade, but you might want to postpone your chitchats". Raven replies, then walks forward to the seated men.
Some courage she's got there....
I and Mia also walk forward..
"Uncccle Bobbb....I'm hereeee" Raven drawled in a singsong voice. Then she walks up to a well built man, with less dark and more gray hairs and black moustache with specks of gray. Even with the gray hairs, he doesn't look old at all.
He looks rather dashing with his Ash colored suit and green-gray eyes....Aiden got his eyes from his father.
"Surprise?" She shrug with a pout and i saw the man's eyes widen in horror.
He looks as though he's terrified to see her.
Then she grabs the collar of his suit and begin to yell at him. While the other men tries to stop her.

Presently....
"Yeah...you created quite a scene yesterday". I said
"Whatever...." She murmured.
But at least I got to talk to him. And he kind of gave out a guilty and remorseful expression.
Raven helped in yelling at him and making him feel more like the bad guy and I would say...she was really reliable and helpful.
He told me he had no idea where they were living so I guess they packed out of their former house and came to this one. And he said he had no means of reaching them since Mrs Sophie changed her number and his brother, Raven's Dad wouldn't even speak to him nor tell him where his family had moved to. Not until he found out Mrs Sophie was the Principal and manager of one of the most famous schools which is Hogworths high.
I sighed and glanced at my wrist watch again... School will start soon and so as the basketball competition.
He's really not gonna come.
"Good morning". Annie greeted descending the stairs in her uniform.
"Morning pixie". I replied
"Morning Annabel". Raven said.
"Annie". The little girl murmured with an angry pout.
"I made another picture". She beamed.
"Really? I'd love to see it". I said
"When i come back from school, I'll show you".
"Kay".
The door bell rang....Mrs Sophie also descended the stairs...
"Morning ma'am"
"Hi auntie".
"Bella, Cordelia...hi" she replied, all smiles.
I opened the door....
"You must be Bella right?" A masculine voice asked and i was too shocked to reply...
"Uh..."
"Who's it sweetie?" Mrs Sophie called out and I swallowed hard.
"G-good morning sir" I greeted the visitor.
He had two escorts and they stood by his black 2022 BMW 5-series car
"Good morning, can i come in?"
"S-sure" I stammered and opened the door wide, allowing him in...
"Hi Sophie". He greeted.
I saw the colour drain from Mrs Sophie's face as she turned pale with shock.
"B-bob?" she muttered...
"Mom...I can't find my...." Aiden stopped in his tracks as he stared at his dad and mom.
His mom was facing his dad, mouth agape and short of words.
"What is he doing here?" He growled.
"You...you!!!" Mrs Sophie snarled, her eyes becoming misty.
"You've got some nerve coming here...I have no idea how you found this place...but I want you out!" She said while gritting her teeth and pointing at the door...
"Listen to me Sophie". Mr Emerson tried to talk but she shushed him.
"Get out now!"
"Sophie...." She landed a ferocious slap on his cheek, shutting him.
"Just get out...I said leave! Now!!!" She screamed, while tears streamed down her face.
Aiden walked up to her and embraced her, as she sobbed.
Oh my God... what have I done?
"I'll be clear...just this once, leave now!" Aiden said, glaring at his father.
Mr Emerson poked the inside of his cheek where he had been slapped, with his tongue.
Aiden really took after him...coz he usually did that also, when he was angry or frustrated.
Mr Emerson turned to go...but then stopped and glanced at Annie who stood, confused about what was going on. I saw a glint of pain flash through his eyes as he stared at her, before walking away, out of the house.
Mrs Sophie detached herself from Aiden's embrace and ran upstairs, still sobbing.
I sighed and lowered my head...
"You brought him here, didn't you?" Aiden's harsh voice made me raise my head to look at him... He looked hurt.
"I made it clear...I fxcking made it clear that you should stay out of it...but you totally ignored me!!" He yelled, startling me.
"I-i am sorry" I murmured. "I just wanted..."
"To hell with what you wanted...now you made my mom cry...how you like that huh?" He asked, with a glare and then walked out on me, heading for his mother's room.
"What's happening Bella?" Annie's sad voice spoke up.
I looked down at the innocent child as she had tears stuck in her eyes and her lips quivered.
I turned to look at Raven, she wasn't looking so tough now. She also had a sad expression.
"What have I done?" I asked out loud as i covered my eyes and fought back my tears.
"Who was that man that made mommy cry?" Annie asked again, trying not to break down as i noticed her wipe her eyes with the back of her hand. "And why is Aiden mad at you?".
"You've done nothing wrong Bella". Raven finally spoke up. "You did the right thing....I never thought of trying to reconcile with him but then, you made me change my mind and I really want to see them as a happy family again. We shouldn't give up just like that".
She walked to Annie and crouched to her level...
"Hey baby.... don't cry, mom is fine okay? And Aiden is not mad at Bella".
Heck yeah....he is!
Then she patted the latter's head....
"That man...is you and Aiden's father". She said and Annie's eyes widened.
"My father is dead..." She muttered
"No, he isn't...it's a lie. That man that made mommy cry is your dad okay?" Raven said and embraced her.

Hogworths high....
*The basketball competition*
The students shrieks were deafening as they were screaming out the names of their school team members.
As the host, Hogworths high had the opponents team and their students, Summerville's students as their guests. And so, the field was crowded with two different schools. One on the left side of the field, while the other was on the right side.
"Don't worry, we'll go easy on your team" Adams said, smirking at Aiden whose mind wasn't really in the game.
He thought about his father and the audacity he had to show up earlier.
The match began with a tip-off. The referee tossed the ball up between Adams and Aiden... captains of the competing teams.
Aiden gets the ball and tips it to Carlos who dribbles his way into the opponent side of the court and tossed it to Lucas. He bounced the ball, passing it under his legs as he confused the player after him and jumped, tossing the ball towards the net. It moved swiftly and bingo! He had a perfect goal.
Hogworths students jumped for joy and their cheerleaders danced, cheering them up.
"Tch" Adams scoffed, snatching the ball. He also dribbled his way to the opponent side and threw the ball towards the net...it landed right into it.
"Yes!" He threw a fist in the air, while his teammates high fived him.
"Sorry, but we'll be taking the trophy home". He said to Aiden who ignored him again, lost in thoughts.
His mind was far off and so he wasn't concentrating on the game.
After the first half, they lost to Summerville. One goal to three.
Hogworths students excitement died down and soon they were murmuring while Summerville's students were screaming with joy.
"Told ya, we wouldn't go easy on you..." Adams smirked as he gulped down a bottle of water.
He was still being snubbed by Aiden but he kept on talking..
"C'mon bro, what are you thinking?" Lucas pushed him slightly. "You weren't yourself at the court...you totally lost focus"
"Yeah....this ain't how we play" Jerry chimed in.
"Three to one? That's so embarrassing" Carlos murmured.
"Aiden?" Jerry snapped his fingers to gain his attention but to no avail. He just kept on drinking his water and ignoring them.
"We'll take home the trophy and the girl". Adams said with a wink and turned to leave..
"In your dreams". Aiden spoke up finally as he raised his head to look at Adams.
"The match ain't over yet...I think I overslept". He said with a smirk.
"Bring it on..." Adams replied.
They were called for the second half and before any one could say Jack Robinson, Aiden had seized the ball from an opponent and scored.
Hogworths students cheered.
He didn't even give them a chance to touch the ball and then, from the mid-court, he jumped and tossed the ball into the opponents net, scoring yet another goal.
Now, it was a draw.... Summerville and Hogworths...Three to Three.
"That's more like it....welcome, bro" Jerry patted his shoulder.
"At least save us some spotlight" Lucas joshed.
Within the eight minutes of the final quarter. He scored three more goals, without the opponents inching close to their side of the Court.
The winning school went wild as they screamed their heads off for joy...
"We love you Aiden!!"
"Nice job team Aiden!"
"The A4 are the best".
"Black bulls for life!!"
Literally they didn't even acknowledge the presence of the last player that made them five in number. All that mattered to them was their A4 that they were head over heels for.
"I gotta admit...you played really nice...but I told you the other day...the trophy and the girl are all mine". Aiden said with a smirk as he mocked Adams who was fuming.
"Six goals to three....not bad" Jerry snickered.

10pm....
We sat down wining and dining at a club....
We the senior students were out to celebrate our victory over Summerville. And to celebrate the winning team. Aiden and his crew.
He still hasn't said a word to me since and I presumed he was still super mad at me.
I watched him from my corner as he took shots and shots of his drink.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine". Raven whispered in my ear and i quickly pretended not to be looking at him..
"Wah?" I feigned ignorance.
She chuckled...."You were looking at him....stop pretending".
I sighed and felt a blush rise to my cheeks.
"You're so cute". She cooed.
"Who was she looking at? was it Aiden?" Mia chimed in.
"Who else do you think caught the attention of this gorgeous kitten?" Raven asked, sipping on her drink
"Awwwww" Mia cooed.
"Stop it" I tried to hide my blush.
Soon, Aiden stood up and staggered off... towards the bathroom.
Tch! He's already drunk.
Minutes later, Courtney left her crew.
I scrunched up my face as i saw her.
"C'mon, let's go dance..." Raven pulled me but i shook my head.
"Nuh-uh....I don't want to".
"You boring thing!" She scoffed, then pulled Mia along..
"Let's go dance, leave her and her boredom".
I laughed and continued sipping on my drink.
"Hey". A feminine voice called out to me as she approached me.
I looked up....it was Chloe...
Ughhh!!
"Um...can you do me a favor?" She asked, pouting.
"And why should I help you?" I asked in distaste.
"Pretty please....I'm in a hurry now, I just got a call from my mom and she's really mad...I need to leave right away, here's Aiden's phone, he's at room 035, help me give it back to him, looks like he'll spend the night here....thanks". She pouted, batting her fake lashes at me.
Why does she have Aiden's phone anyway?
"Uh...okay, but..." She didn't allow me finish, she just turned and left, after placing the phone on the table.
But his friends? She could've just given them.
I stood up with the champagne glass as i headed for room 035 with Aiden's phone.
When i got to the room, I knocked...
I got no reply and knocked again...still no reply, so i just opened the door anyway....
"Aiden you...." I stopped in my tracks as i stared at the sight before me.
The champagne glass fell from my hand and broke.
Aiden was laying on the bed, under the duvet with Courtney's head, resting on his bare chest, she was also bare chested.
I felt a needle prick my heart as i held my chest in order to calm the way my heart was beating rapidly.
They seemed to be deep in sleep as the noise from the broken glass didn't attract them.
I slowly retreated as i closed the door behind.
Everything around spun in my head and I dropped down slowly as I sat against a wall.
It always has to be the blondies
