Sage screamed and put her hands on his shoulders. "Stop scaring me! Act normal for a change! Make me understand you! Even if it's just for this trip... Please." Sage pleaded and burst into tears.
Cyrus' eyes widened, he froze, sighed, and closed his eyes. "All right, if that makes you stop crying..." He paused, chewed his lower lip, and continued. "I do not like seeing your tears, my parrot." He opened his eyes, which were now ice blue.
Sage had never seen him like this before, and she had no idea he would say those words. This trip appeared to be going to be enjoyable.
"Thank you," she said as he wiped her tears away and pushed her hair away from her face.
"No need," he said as he pushed the nine-tailed fox from his lap. "Come." Sage gradually moved closer to him, allowing him to wrap his arms around her.
