Sage finally calmed down in Cyrus' arms after crying for ten minutes. She was relaxed, and he was coaxing her to stop crying like a child.
She felt miserable and as dumb as a rock.
Her head was on Cyrus' slowly rising and falling chest, his arm around her body and her hand on his stomach.
She sniffed and clutched his shirt. "It is too much for me." She mumbled.
"Then I will take it slow." Cyrus whispered.
"Why are you so calm with me?" Sage had to ask. "Ever since we got back from Credia... Is it pity?" Her voice shook as she asked.
"Pity?" Cyrus asked with a scoff. "That is not the word."
"Even with everything that has happened... Do you want us to live like a normal couple?"
"Do not forget that I am going to kill you Parrot, I need you fire core."
Sage frowned. He kept drawing her close to him and pushing her away. What was wrong with him?
