Ming Yue went to her father's courtyard to find him already went to the imperial court. Ming Yue informed feng shui that she was invited by the young miss of Li residence, feng shui was glad to know that this young miss was finally socializing, he immediately ordered the servants to prepare a carriage for her, the servants had prepared the carriage, the carriage was a light shade of blue, it had two windows where there were white translucent curtains hanging down. The carriage's top was in shape of a dome and was white in colour with eight immortal symbols. It was her mother's carriage.

Ming Yue got inside her carriage with Mei and the carriage started moving. Soon, she reached official Li Jun's manor. An old female servant was already there to receive her. Ming Yue got and mei got out of the carriage and was led to a beautiful pavillion by the female servant. Li Bai and other young noble ladies were already seated there. And when she thought Li Bai was popular, it was certainly not a joke, all the young ladies from very prominent family of capital were there.

When Ming Yue arrived, she took the spotlight from certain someone who didn't like it. Everyone was curious about the new young miss who look exceptionally good. Li Bai saw Ming Yue and asked her to sit beside her. Ming Yue say down and she was suddenly the center of attention. Everyone was questioning her and when they found out that she was General Ming's daughter, they all were cautious towards her as her father was quite brutal.

A petite figure suddenly spoke, Princess Qiang was not very happy that no one was paying her attention. She was the most beloved princess as she was the youngest (14 years old, smae age as Ming Yue) and her imperial mother was the queen of the country. Ming Yue turned towards her and greeted,

"Greetings princess Qiang"

Princess Qiang puffed her cheeks and said,

"Who's this young miss?"

Ming Yue knew this was Princess Qiang because according to the plot today princess Qiang would 'accidently' slip into the lake and Lue Yi would save her to become her confidant. Lue Yi was not invited by Li Bai but Lue Yi's friend Lan Hua had brought her along. Lue Yi was already here, so today she would expose Lue Yi to the world.

Ming Yue said

"This subject is the daughter of General Ming, and the second miss of Ming residence."

Princess Qiang was a face dog*, though she had stole the spotlight from her, Ming Yue was the best looking girl among other girls.

[*person who like beautiful people]

Ming smiled and said

"I had heard that Princess Qiang was very noble , but now that I can see for myself Princess Qiang is not only noble but is also very good looking."

Princess Qiang was quite flattered and said

"Young miss has flattered me too much, but I can see that young miss is very pretty too."

Ming Yue and Princess Qiang started chatting and more they chatted more Princess Qiang like Ming Yue, Ming Yue was not a boasting young miss from noble family, she was humble and kind, though Princess Qiang was pampered, she knew most of the people around her were only talking to her because of her status, but Ming Yue was genuinely interested in her.

After some time, Lue Yi stood up and said

"May I have everyone's attention please."

Everyone looked curiously at Lue Yi, she said

"The weather is really nice today, and Li manor is really famous for its beautiful scenery near Lake, why not take a walk there?"

Li Bai nodded in agreement and said

"Yes indeed, please everyone follow me" Li Bai was wearing a pink hanfu embroidered with cherry blossoms, she stood up and started walking towards another pavillion, while everyone else was walking with their friends, Princess Qiang and Ming Yue sticked together. Lue Yi's plan to gain princess trust would fail at this rate if Ming Yue keep sticking to princess!

Everyone reached to a beautiful pavilion, the pavilion already had seats and a cherry tree was visible near a beautiful lake. They all sat in the pavilion and agreed to take a walk around the lake later, while they were in the pavilion, Li Bai proposed that they should try some poetry. Ladies from noble or high rank families would often hold poetry and painting competitions to show off their talents. Everyone was given a paper and ink stone and a brush. Everyone was racking their brains in order to not embarass themselves, while Li Bai, princess Qiang and Lan Hua were quite relaxed and were making beautiful strokes on the paper, but surprisingly Ming Yue was writing as well. Ming Yue knew a poem that was written by a modern day poet on spring, she just wrote that poem,

( I wanted to write the poem but it's not allowed)

This poem meant that

In this door, on last year today,

the chery blossoms on the his face reflected with mine in red. He does not know where to go, but the cherry blossoms are still smiling at his spring breeze like lips.[this is not the literal translation]

After everyone was done, they all began reciting their poems, everyone was done except for Ming Yue, so far Lan Hua and Li Bai had the best poems depicting the happiness that spring brings, it was Ming Yue's turn she started reciting her poem, and by the time she finished everyone present there was in awe. Her poem was too good, this poem expressed such beautiful emotions in such short lines, everyone was impressed but they were more jealous of her, not only she was exceptionally beautiful but she was good in poetry too! Life's truly too unfair! They all could agree that Ming Yue was the winner, this made Lue Yi's eyes green with jealousy but soon she'd have a higher rank than Ming Yue as she's be Princess Qiang's confidant.
