Chapter 12 - Princess Qiang is in danger!!!(2)

After speaking with Ming Yue, Princess Qiang went near her older brother's carriage and acted spoiled and said, "GeGe, I am not feeling well."

A tall and lean man came out of the carriage, he had an enigmatic figure, with a tall and imposing stature, he had an air of regal authority that demanded attention. His sharp features were chiseled to perfection, and his piercing eyes held a mysterious depth that had the power to draw others in.

His hair, as dark as midnight, fell effortlessly in raven waves that framed his face with an alluring allure. His striking beauty would leave a long lasting impression on anyone who saw him.

He looked down at his spoiled sister, his eyes held undying affection while his expression was impassive, he patted her head and simply said

"Let's go to the palace then."

They both went inside their own carriage when Prince Zhao summoned his shadow guard and sent him to investigate about the second miss of Ming residence.

Princess Qiang reaches the palace and when she goes to greet her imperial mother, when she felt a burning sensation inside her. As Princess Qiang had a weak cultivation ore, she would get sick easily and right now she was getting very sick. Prince Zhao was right beside her, he felt something was wrong and when he looked at Qiang, he noticed small beads of sweat forming in her forehead and nose and her flushed face, he touched her forehead only to find her while body was burning , he immediately carried her and took her to her chamber and summoned an imperial physician. The imperial physician came and took her pulse, he turned towards Prince Zhao and seeming a bit worried, he said

" Prince, Princess is suffering from high fever, this physician thinks that princess might have had contact with cold water for a long time. I will write some medicine to strengthen her ore, she must take these medicines twice a day for one month."

After hearing this, Prince Zhao sent the imperial physician off and have him his fees. Ah Qiang was sleeping so he went towards Empress Dowager's hall and told everything that happened to her. Empress Dowager was furious as well as concerned for Princess Qiang.

Princess Qiang and Prince Zhao Jie were Empress Dowager's own flesh and blood, she was very concerned about her daughter so she went to Princess's courtyard and sat beside her bed gently stroking her hair, while Prince Zhao had already taken leave and was currently heading towards his own manor. Prince Zhao had his own manor as he did not like living with his brothers who were always blood- thirsty. He had moved out when he was 13 that too with Empress Dowager's permission, and when he reached 14 he was sent to the barracks to train himself to be strong and cultivate more and learn more combat skills.

He soon reached his manor and went inside.

The Cold Prince's manor was huge, he went inside his courtyard, it exuded an air of grandeur and regality. Situated within the manor walls, the courtyard was expansive and grand, with intricately designed pathways leading to various parts of the estate. A central courtyard, framed by high walls and adorned with marble statues, boasted a meticulously maintained pond in its center. The pond sparkles under the moonlight, surrounded by neatly trimmed topiaries and vibrant flowers. To the right of the main courtyard, a row of buildings houses shoe the private quarters of the Cold Prince. These quarters seamlessly blend traditional architecture with modern comforts, with spacious rooms that reflect sophistication and elegance. The overall ambiance of the Prince Zhao's courtyard is one of refined luxury, reflecting his status as a powerful figure in the kingdom.

Ming Yue had already reached the residence and she went directly towards her father's courtyard. She slowly knocked inside, and a faint 'come inside' was heard. Her father was writing something in his table. It was a calligraphy. She huffed and said

"Father had said he would tutor Yue Yue but he isn't doing that."

Ming Lee couldn't do anything against his little daughter so he kept down the brush and said,

"Alright, there should be atleast an hour before the dinner, let's go to my cultivation space for some practice."

They both went to the cultivation space, Ming Yue showed her father that she had learned how to properly circulate the energy through her body. Ming Lee then touched her shoulder and sent a spurge of energy into her body, it took her a while to accept the energy but she soon adapted and started navigating the energy. After doing this again and again, Ming Yue was tired and then finally her father said that it was enough for today and they left for dinner.

After dinner, Ming Yue went towards her courtyard and as soon she lied in the bed , she had fallen asleep.

Prince Zhao's shadow guard returned and began giving him all the information he had acquired about the second miss of the Ming residence. He told him about how she was the unfortunate young miss who was greatly favoured by her father but was mistreated by her stepmother, the official wife of the residence, but due to something the official wife and her daughter were currently repenting upon their behaviour. Prince Zhao held a sinister smile while his eyes showed no emotion.

The shadow guard paused and told him about the incident that had just happened in the Li Manor and how Ming Yue had saved the princess.

Prince Zhao told him to dig more deep into the matter and dismissed him. The moon's dim light was passing through the window, the only light in the room, he looked outside and thought 'this second young miss is definitely different'.
