That night Alexandra could hardly sleep, she was so excited, meanwhile her parents couldn't sleep a wink, not because they were excited like she was, because they knew what could happen if something goes wrong.

"Shane, you know you shouldn't have given her the permission to go, you know more than anyone what would happen if —"

"Relax Helen, nothing's going to happen, she's not going to that part of the country, so just chill" Shane said to reassure himself more than her.

"It could've been anywhere but there, I just hope you're right, just so you know, I'm not ready to lose that girl" Helen sighed.

"Me neither" he replied.

"Hell, me neither" He repeated after a while.

*MORNING*

"Good morning Dad, morning mum" she flew down the stairs.

"Morning buttercup" Her father smiled, once again reassured by the smile on the girl's face that he did the right thing by letting her go.

"Good morning girl" Her mother raised her head and smiled uncertainly, yes seeing her daughter smile makes her happy, but at what cost?.

"How was your night?" She asked as the girl sat down and scooped many pancakes on her plate at once.

"It was awesome, thanks for yesterday" She barely finished her words before she started eating.

"Hey slow down, they won't grow legs and run away" Helen laughed.

"Mo-ther, you know how much I love pancakes, I could eat them for the rest of my life, and I know you made them just for me" she said with her mouth full.

"Have some omelette" her mother said but Alexandra shook her head, rufusing.

"Bacon?, shrimps?" She asked, attempting to dish some on her plate

"No mum, I'll just have these, could you please pack extra for me?, I'll like to take them with" She asked as she finished the ones on her plate in haste and added two more,

"I just hope you look after yourself there and make sure to eat—"

"It's only four days mom, it's not forever, now please my pancakes" she interrupted.

"Sure, I made extras because I knew you'll ask for more" Helen laughed and excused herself from the table.

"Hey, have you packed your bag?" Shane asked

"Since forever" she grinned at him,

"Omg!" She exclaimed staring at her wrist watch

"What is it?" Her father glanced up sharply

"I'm running late Dad, miss chris said we have to get to the airport by 8:00 and flight takes off by 8:05 and here I am, it's 7:45 and I'm still home!" She shoved the remaining pancakes into her mouth and chewed on it quickly, washing it down with a glass of milk.

"Don't panic buttercup, I'll drop you at the airport" Shane winked.

"The airport is 30 minutes drive from our home Dad, 20 if the driver's faster, and you're such a slow driver that I'm sure the Plane would've arrived in America before we get to the airport" she rolled her eyes.

"C'mon, don't you trust me?, I said I'll get you there in time for your flight, but time's running out, if we keep talking then—"

"Yes, I'll go grab my things quickly" She was already moving before her lips stopped moving.

Using her wolf speed, she was gone and back before you could say Jack,

Shane was behind the wheel before she got outside, looks like she's not the only one using the speed around here, she hid her smile.

"Wait up" Helen called out.

"What now?" She turned back to look at her mom

"I packed your pancakes" she gave her the food box

"Wow, must be a zillion of them in there, thanks mom, I love you" she hugged her Mom tightly.

"I love you too, go now child, your father's waiting"

"Yes" she waved her mother good bye as as she got into the car.

*AT THE AIRPORT*

"Look who's here guys" Kelvin, leader of some dumb gang said soon as he spotted Alexandra getting out of her Dad's car and her Dad helping her with her bag.

"What!, she's here?" Pam gave her a ugly glare, her brows knitted in a frown

*

"I'll be fine Daddy, stop it" Alexandra laughed when Shane refused to let go of her hands.

"OK buttercup, you must call every day, don't forget to eat on time, don't skip on meals, don't get into fights—"

"Yes, I know Dad, I know, I'll be fine I promise, now run along or you'll be late for work, I don't wanna be the reason you're late" She said softly but firmly.

"Yes baby, bye bye, one last hug?" Shane asked

"Of course Dad" She hugged him before he could and released him quickly.

"Now run along quickly and be a good boy" She patted his cheek.

"Now it seem like I'm the one being sent off" Shane smiled as he got back in the car

"Don't grumble too much old boy, tell mommy I love her!" She stepped back as he started the engine, gave her one last smile and was off.

Walking in, she saw the other students and started towards them

"Uhn huh, Daddy's little girl huh?" Pam taunted as Alexandra got to them, no need to get into an argument this early, let it go Lexie, she warned her annoyed wolf.

"Good morning Mr—"

"You're late Alexandra Carson" she knew without anyone telling her that the use of her full name meant trouble.

"Sir—" she tried to speak but got cut off.

"I would've loved to speak to your Father, but quite unfortunately he left before I got a chance" Mr Anderson started

"He—"

"You're lucky young lady, the flight has been delayed by few minutes, now you'll sit very quietly and behave yourself" The principal said.

"If you've not gotten here the time you did, you would've missed out on this trip and miss out on the opportunity to explore and learn values of life, you rich people like to think money is the only thing there is to life and by having money, you think the world revolves around you" Alexandra cringed,

she almost stepped back from him, he was starting his lectures again and he seem to think that rich people are the problems in his life.

'Oh no!' Her insides screamed.

"Don't make any trouble and sit quietly" he said finally, thank goodness he kept it short, Alexandra sighed.

'Why does he have to talk like that?' Lexie asked

'Talk like what?'

'Like you're the one always picking fights and not the other way round?'

'Who knows?, maybe he had a rough start out of life?' Alexandra shrugged.

'It doesn't mean—'

'Let it go Lexie, it doesn't matter' she ended the conversation

"Finally got the nerve to show your face around here eh?" Pam whispered, she smirked, hoping to get a reaction out of Alexandra, hoping the Principal will send her back home.

"She probably got so lonely at home and got tired of old men staring at her at her Pop's office and came out here to try out some other options" Tricia, Pam's best friend replied, and the studens laughed.

"OK that's enough guys, Hi Andra" she immediately recognized who the voice belongs to, she turned, smiled and waved.

"Hi Jaime" she replied with a wink, it wasn't surprising that Pam and Tricia remained silent after that, Jaime's father is the Chairman of their school board and Jaime happens to be Pam's life long crush, she had it hot for him, who wouldn't?,

Jaime's father, Chairman burns happen to be one of the richest men in the city, and a public figure and Jaime isn't some random guy, he's the heir to all his family has and happens to top the chart of the most handsome guys around, and every girl in and outside the school has their eyes on him,

but unfortunately for them, Jaime Burns happen to be Alexandra's boyfriend, and that definitely did not earn her many fans, most especially among the girls.

"Glad you could join us this time" he returned her wink.

"Told you I would didn't I?, and look I'm here" she beamed.

"Why is he even staring at her that much?" Pam whispered to Tricia, with the help of her wolf hearing, Alexandra could hear them, she tried not to laugh, she almost reached out into Pam's mind and create illusions but she stopped herself in time, she remembered what her Mother had told her,

her powers are not to oppress the weak minded humans, she retraced her actions quickly.

Yes, she has special powers to make people belief what didn't really happen, but no she wouldn't use those powers unless it's really necessary for her to.

'Tell me, what's on your mind?' Jaime sent her a message through their mind link without warning, damn why didn't she shut it?

'Just thinking of how fun, this is gonna be' She replied.

'Trust me, you'll love it' he said and was out of her head.
