Chapter 5 - Reverse Murder Map

[Two weeks later]

...

"Kinsei, honey, would you like some tea before you head out?" Inko asked kindly as Kinsei stopped putting his shoes on and nodded furiously, "Yes, please!" He said joyously as Inko poured some tea into a thermos and handed it to Kinsei.

Grabbing the thermos, Kinsei said his goodbyes and exited the apartment, donning some running gear as he ran off into the distance, heading to an unknown location.

Kinsei's skin seemed to be in the process of taking on a warmer tone, a healthier look for the skeletal teen. He also seemed to have more defined muscles... It was almost unnatural. Not because the muscles were abnormally huge or anything, it was mostly because he suddenly looked a lot less malnourished when compared to his previous self.

Of course, the reason for the increasingly healthy physique was because of the actions of one particularly unmemorable person named Shiro.

Kinsei had absorbed everything out of Shiro. His memories, his soul... his life force... and by ripping away someone else's energy, he steals their life force for himself. Increasing his youth, vitality, and physicality, and fixing health issues. Practically everything.

Life force is the hottest new miracle drug! Long-lasting effects that'll make you wish for more, unlimited access to all select new brands, and youth that will last you a lifetime!

"All the other kids with the pumped-up kicks, you better run, better run, faster than my bullet~!" Kinsei sang to himself as he walked through a familiar cavern with a smile on his wretched face.

Finally arriving in the wide cavern area near the subterranean lake, Kinsei walked over to an area of the cavern that he had modified to be some sort of room with equipment and pulled the cloth off a standing board as he gazed at it without a smile, simply staring dully at the images tacked onto it.

"I've got a few options here..."

Placed upon the board were many, many photos of numerous heroes, villains, vigilantes, and civilians all connected to some sort of associated paper full of relevant data.

Placing his hand on two of the photos that lacked data, Kinsei plucked them off the board and sat at his desk, lighting a warm lantern as he pulled out two papers and began listing off the data he uncovered.

"John Ekana. Student at Mustafa Private Middle School. Quirk, Serpentine Skin..." He mumbled to himself as his jagged handwriting spelled out everything he said.

Finishing the first note, Kinsei moved over to the next image.

Seeing the image in the photo, Kinsei's eyebrow rose and his lip curled into a smirk as a lightbulb clicked in his head.

"Hitoshi Shinso. Student at Nabu Middle School. Quirk..."

"Brainwashing..." He hissed with a face-splitting grin.

"Currently in a weak state of mind, desires a friend, wants people not to think of his quirk as villainous, suffers from a lack of sleep, most likely peer pressured..."

"Weak-minded and easily manipulatable," He laughed to himself as he pinned the images back on the board and placed a large red marker on the photo of a purple-haired kid with tired eyes.

"Looks like I'll be having a cat for dinner..." He said in a dark tone of voice, staring intently at the image of Shinso as he pulled a large piece of paper out of his bag and began planning how he'd take the kid's power.

"I suppose the plan with Shiro could work again," He wondered with a bob of his head.

"But that would be boooring!" He groaned in annoyance only to suddenly be interrupted by the sound of his phone buzzing.

Kinsei curiously opened the phone and felt himself shake in excitement at the reminder that was in front of him.

He restrained a laugh, "Alright... this is gonna be stressful but it's necessary for my goal and plans..." He said with a faux serious expression, covering all his equipment back up and crawling out of the cavern as he dragged a small boulder over the crack that he entered from.

Kinsei left the forest and swiftly ran back to the Midoriya household under the night sky.

Arriving at the house, Kinsei sneaked in through the door, grabbing his duffel bag that he emptied of its contents and exited the house once again as he changed into an all-black outfit that masked his face.

"Alright, let's go..." He spoke, walking through the dark streets of Musutafu with a reserved demeanour as he dipped out of the crowd and into a dark alley.

Feeling all too excited about the illegal stuff he was about to do, Kinsei giddily walked through the street full of homeless people, addicts, and shady deals and slowed down his walk as he spotted a man with a hospital mask sitting quietly in his car.

'There you are, pal,' He thought to himself as he discreetly approached the car, finally exiting the overpopulated back alley as he walked past the semi-opened window and dropped a couple of bucks inside.

Kinsei moved over to the back of the truck and leaned against it nonchalantly as the man finally exited his vehicle.

"So how's this gonna go...?" Kinsei questioned in a light voice as he moved aside to allow the man access to the trunk.

"New to this, aren't you, kid?" The man responded distractedly as he glanced around for a second before opening the trunk to reveal a treasure trove of dangerous weapons and strange objects.

'Oh, fuck, yes...' Kinsei restrained his maniacal laugh as he accidentally spoke his thoughts, "I think I just got an erection..."

The man looked disgustedly in Kinsei's direction before shaking his head and focusing on the matter at hand as he stretched out his arm in a grabbing gesture.

"Hm?" Kinsei sounded with a raised eyebrow before recognizing the signal and pulling out a few wads of cash that he handed to the surprised man.

'That... is a lot of money...' The man thought to himself in disbelief as he pocketed the money and decided to treat this new customer of his better.

"Take your pick. All top-of-the-line goods..." The man whispered proudly, happy to provide quality items to someone who was willing to pay a pretty penny as Kinsei examined the trunk with a small, appreciative whistle.

Within the truck were a variety of weapons including, but not limited to, firearms, weapons for physical combat like knives, weapons made with quirks, dangerous/illegal substances like poisons, and finally, a lot of ammunition.

"How much can I take?" Kinsei questioned without looking back as a dark aura overcame his body, almost as if he were considering something strange at the moment.

'I could just kill you and take everything...'

"With this kind of money? You can take as much as you like. I can always get my hands on more..." The man stated plainly as Kinsei's darkness receded and a happy smile appeared on his face.

'No... There are too many unknowns. What if he's connected to a larger crime syndicate? What if his quirk is strong enough to counter a bullet? And besides, keeping him around will help in the long run. Having a connection with someone who can find this level of quality weaponry is rare and I should take full advantage of him.'

"Well, alright then..." Kinsei shrugged.

Kinsei scanned the trunk and pulled out his duffel bag as he began placing numerous objects into the bag with a look of desire in his eyes.

Finishing with his purchases, Kinsei turned to the man and gave him a thankful nod as he began making his way back onto the street.

"If you need any more... illicit goods... just give me a call. I'd be happy to do business with you again," The man spoke once more, entering his car with finality as Kinsei chuckled.

After a few minutes of speed walking, Kinsei arrived back at his hideout in the forest cave and set his duffel bag down as he began carefully emptying it of its contents.

He reached his hand in and slowly pulled out a Smith & Wesson Model 686+ with the appropriate 357 magnum ammunition to along with it. He also brought out a SIG Sauer M17 as a sidearm with the proper suppressor attachments for it.

'Close range.'

Next up was the Savage Arms 10 BA Stealth with 6.5mm Creedmoor ammo perfect for long-distance shots.

'Long range.'

Thirdly, were a couple of handheld grenades and a bulletproof vest.

'Explosives and protection.'

Lastly, he pulled out multiple small bottles of different types of drugs like Botulinum toxin and Chloroform.

'Lethality and sedation.'

Sorting out all his equipment in neat order, Kinsei began loading ammunition into each of his weapons, one by one, experiencing psychotic glee at the thought of the person he was planning to murder.

"Time to embrace the American dream!"

...

...

...

"Huh? You're planning on visiting the Saitama prefecture?" Inko asked in confusion, not understanding why he would suddenly want to go over there after not attending school for the past two weeks.

"Yeah. I have a friend over there who I want to talk with so you won't be seeing me for a day or two," Kinsei explained as Inko sighed before nodding with a smile.

"Well, I suppose it's alright then. As long as you have someone to keep you company over there," She stated with a chuckle.

Kinsei gave a quiet nod.

...

...

...

...

"Holy shit, this is taking so long!" Kinsei groaned loudly in his seat on the train as the passengers around him looked at him with faces of disdain.

"Excuse me, can you keep it down, my child is trying to sleep..." A woman carrying a baby in her arms requested gently as Kinsei scratched the back of his head with a shy grin.

"Nope," He bluntly stated as he turned to the side and leaned back on some random guy's lap.

"Um... do you mind...?" The man said with annoyance as Kinsei scratched his chin and pondered it for a moment.

"You don't need to worry, I don't mind at all. I think you're doing a great job, buddy!" Kinsei praised intensely as the man gazed at him with a look of disbelief at Kinsei's complete disregard for the people around him.

The passengers on the train were slightly upset by the disrespectful actions of the kid but decided that it wasn't worth starting up a fight over. However, one younger girl who didn't mind causing some trouble noticed the exchange and began feeling slightly righteous all of a sudden.

The orange-haired girl angrily approached the apathetic Kinsei and stood above him with a look of disapproval as he simply lay on the frozen man's leg without care.

"Excuse me, sir, I don't think you should be acting like that. We're in a public place and you're being disrespectful so please stop bothering that poor man and the rest of the passengers, alright?" She spoke reprimandingly with a smile, expecting the kid to concede and stop misbehaving immediately as Kinsei finally opened his eyes only for them to widen in surprise at the girl's familiar face.

Thinking that the expression was because of her display of confidence, Itsuka puffed her chest in pride only for that pride to turn to fear at what he said next.

"Wow, you're Itsuka, huh?" He asked with an emotionless smile that sent chills down the confused girl's spine, 'How the hell does he know my name...' She thought to herself with an apprehensive grimace as Kinsei stood up with an expression of admiration.

"Incredible! It is just an honour to meet you!" Kinsei said with pure showmanship as he swiftly grabbed Itsuka's hands and began aggressively shaking them with an open-mouthed, unmoving smile that lacked teeth.

"Wh- What are..." She stuttered in confusion as Kinsei used this to his advantage and pulled her over to the back of the train car, still singing her praises.

"Wow, you're just as beautiful in person!" He complimented the embarrassed girl as he finally pulled her away from the eyes of the group and sat her down on a seat in the dark section of the train.

"Wh- What are you doing!?" Itsuka snapped out of her daze and attempted to pull her hands away from Kinsei's grasp only to feel a sense of dread at the firm grip that was keeping her in place.

Kinsei's face remained stretched in an admiring smile as he sat in front of her and began to silently stare into Itsuka's befuddled green eyes.

"Let go of me! I don't want to hurt you but I will!" She demanded with a confident expression as Kinsei tilted his head with a lazy smile.

"You don't want to hurt me? That's cute," Kinsei commented as Itsuka's brow furrowed in frustration.

"I warned you..." She muttered angrily as her clenched fists suddenly expanded to large proportions, Kinsei's body suddenly bursting into smog and flying directly beside the unknowing girl as the wind formed Kinsei's body once more.

"I don't think you're allowed to do that..."

"Wha- How-!?" She attempted to cry out only for Kinsei's hand to claw her mouth shut with a violent grip.

"Let's keep this civil, alright...?" Kinsei questioned with a merry tone as Itsuka's now-fearful eyes turned to him with caution.

"...After all, I don't want to hurt you..." He whispered into her ear tauntingly as she attempted to punch him with her enlarged fists.

However, Kinsei's body once again exploded into smoke and, this time, reformed directly in front of her as his hands pinned her weaponized arms above her, effectively disabling her only weapon as he shifted the back of his arms into smoke and created a wall of dark smog that separated the two kids from the other passengers, the darkness of the area concealing the smoke's appearance.

"....But I will."
