Well, I wouldn't exactly label my changes as "evolution." Still, it does seem like a fitting term for someone like me, a strange being brought into existence in a brilliant scientist's laboratory.
I prefer that he is a mad scientist because it makes me feel better. As soon as I took my first breath and opened my eyes, he greeted me with the words, "You're one of my greatest creations." After that, he bestowed upon me the moniker Mosquito Girl.
Can you believe how I felt after hearing that?
I didn't just feel angry towards him, but I also had a secret desire to end his life.
During that moment, I also felt a mix of emotions that I couldn't quite put into words. I was just really curious about what was happening outside.
They labeled me as a monster. I can't help but despise Kaiser just as much as that crazy scientist.
Those are some really hurtful comments to make towards a perfect woman like me.
Well, I ended up killing all the humans I came across. I also thought it would be interesting to drink the blood of various living beings without any discrimination.
"Ahh, Fuck... it hurts!"
I snapped back to reality as a sharp pang of pain shot up from my stomach. I glanced down and saw a glinting black knife, its sharpness unmistakable, piercing through my flesh. I feel like I was blindsided by someone who snuck up on me.
"Hahahaha, that's quite a sight... just look at how effortlessly your body gets torn apart."
Although we've just met, her cynical laugh already makes me feel queasy. She's just your average bitch, oozing with self-assurance.
"Hey, Do-S, what did you do to them?"
Doesn't it sound a bit strange? That's how she introduced herself to me, so I've been calling her that ever since.
"I won't tell you, hahahaha.... you're gonna kick the bucket here, so it doesn't make a difference."
"You didn't give me a choice, guys."
I swiftly turned my body and swung my hand towards the people dressed in black suits, causing their bodies to split in two. Thick blood seemed to celebrate their freedom as they spurted from the lifeless bodies.
I didn't manage to take out all of the people in those suits with my attack. There were still a few left, and when they saw me, I wasted no time in charging toward them before the same fate happened to them.
"Mosquito Girl-sama, what are you doing!..."
"We are your allies... Arghkk..."
"No... quickly call Fubuki-sama... she's gone crazy!..."
I moved with lightning speed, causing the people around me to watch in awe as I darted from one person to another. Their eyes widened in fear, and their screams pierced the tense atmosphere.
"From the start, we shouldn't trust her... she's a monster!... Arghkkk!!!..."
None of the members of the Blizzard group are alive anymore. They're all lying on the street, their bodies brutally dismembered. Out of nowhere, a swarm of mosquitoes appeared and mercilessly drained their blood, only to transfer it into my own veins.
Getting the knife out of my stomach wasn't too hard, even though I complained about the pain. But this wound was nothing compared to the torment I endured when Kaiser first captured me.
As I had an influx of new blood, my wounds healed rapidly, leaving no unsightly scars to mar my flawless physique.
"You must be out of your mind! How could you just casually take the life of your fellow comrade like that?"
"Now that you mention it, I'm starting to worry. Will Kaiser get mad at me for this?"
Despite my sincere concern, she interpreted it as me making fun of her.
"Aren't you attacking? What a pussy Bitch. I was expecting you to join in the fight after I took care of all of them, but instead, you seemed a bit hesitant."
"Well, I was actually reconsidering the nature of the opponent I was up against, and it occurred to me that you were simply a monster driven by a primal urge to take lives. It's no surprise I couldn't find anyone like you in the Monster Association."
It appeared that she was being truthful. Initially, I believed that her fear was genuine, likely due to the severity of my actions. Still, it's frustrating to hear her words that come across as condescending.
Once I embraced my growth and changes. I could cleverly conceal my insect wings on my back, and even the blood-filled pouch resembling a mosquito in my lower abdomen had vanished.
I spread out my see-through wings, shooting Do-S a mischievous smile. Before she could react, I swiftly darted towards her.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew in from beside me, causing a loud explosion when I changed direction. There's this guy right in front of me with this vacant expression on his face. It turns out that he's one of those pro heroes who had a run-in with Do-S before. But let me tell you, his current behavior is throwing people off.
I forgot to say it before, but the opponents I have to face are not her alone. There are professional heroes who, for some reason, have now sided with Her. It's like they move on their own to protect her.
"Don't underestimate me, you bitch... I've got these guys wrapped around my finger."
"I agree, and now all the lingering doubt in my heart has vanished completely."
"Wait, what?"
While I do enjoy them grouped together so I can complete them all at once, it doesn't hinder me in this situation. I'm just a few centimeters off the ground but move like a well-oiled machine.
One after another, professional heroes have met their demise. I can sense the growing panic on Do-S's face as she desperately tries to regain control of the situation. I had to dodge some of their unexpected attacks, but other than that, I found that a single swipe of my hand was sufficient to slice through their bodies.
"What is this? You're just a weak monster, not even a member of the Monster Association."
"I've been hearing about this Monster Association for quite some time now. Is there a powerful monster involved?"
I stood directly in front of DO-S, who appeared visibly frightened. With a stern expression, I menacingly lowered my head. She can only submit further before her mouth opens and says:
"You're no match for Orochi-sama. He can take you down in the blink of an eye."
"Interesting to see that you're still not giving up. It makes me wonder, does that mean you're telling the truth?"
I casually wrapped my fingers around her neck, and as she looked at me with uncertainty, I instinctively applied pressure, causing her to tense.
"Arghkk ... you bitch! ... Aoghhh... let me go!"
"So, who is the unfortunate creature now? How does it feel to have your neck crushed in my grasp? ... I can see the intensity of your gaze, filled with a deep sense of animosity. I hope my presence lingers in your thoughts until your final moments."
"Just when I thought I could count on you, what did I find here?"
The presence of a third voice, distinct from our own, causes a noticeable tension in my hand. A bad feeling that holds my heart slowly weakens my grip. The sound of that voice resonates in my mind, and the image of a man instantly flashes through my thoughts - he was the one who captured my heart.
