Chapter 175 - I'm way stronger than you

As soon as I noticed Mizuki leaving with Lin Lin, my attention was quickly grabbed by the sound of a man's cry of pain. Gazing down at the arena, Suiryu, who had just engaged in a brutal battle with Gouketsu, found himself utterly defenseless as he lay on his back, his body covered in painful wounds.

"He's really in big trouble, and I'm sure he's hoping someone can save him."

I didn't budge from my spot because I was getting into the action in the stadium, and I gotta say, this incident really fucked up.

Stuck in this place, watching people get brutally killed all around you, it's like a living nightmare for regular folks. I can even see a lot of people going crazy faster than office workers dealing with their intense stress.

"I'm not sure what to do... I didn't intend to save them initially, but I can't just let them all die."

"Arghkkkk!... no... no... I don't want to die!... hero help me... no!... whoever it is, help me!..."

As I listened to Suiryu's agonizing screams, my grin grew even wider. I was standing on the edge of the roof, my body gradually tilting further and further before I finally took the dive.

"I'm eager to take on this monster named Gouketsu. It's going to be a challenge, but I'm up for it!"

In just a matter of seconds, I found myself hovering directly above the monster's head. Judging by the look of sheer surprise on his face, it was clear that he never saw me coming.

I slammed my knee right into the monster's face, causing some of its spiky hair to lose its sharpness. I managed to apply enough pressure to bring Gouketsu down to his knees.

"Kaiser? What are you doing here?... leave quickly. You are no match for this monster!... if we want to survive, we must wait for an S-class hero."

I get where Suiryu is coming from. From what I can tell, he's not inherently evil, just a cocky martial artist. So, I took some pleasure in seeing him suffer before ultimately deciding to lend a hand.

"If you're still able to walk, it might be a good idea to get out of here."

I figured Gouketsu wouldn't stay stunned for long, so I decided to take advantage of the moment and land a couple of punches on his tough body. After that, I quickly backed away to create some space between us.

"I can't just stand by and watch you die without a purpose… I understand that you might be trying to appear cool, but this is definitely not the right moment for that."

'Is this man for real? Now I'm starting to reconsider saving him,' I mean, he's always going on about how he's the strongest martial artist out there, and he's got the trophies to prove it from winning this tournament multiple times.

But…

"Talk like that again when you become a martial artist like Silver Fang... now, get the fuck outta here, or you want to save those people, it's up to you!"

In the midst of my irritation, my foot seemed to have a mind of its own as it delivered a powerful kick to Suiryu's rear, sending him flying into the bleachers.

"You did it, huh!... but let me show you what a real punch feels like because your current one is a bit weak."

This monster was incredibly fast, possibly even faster than the Deep Sea King. With each step he took, I couldn't help but notice the growing smile on his face.

However, whenever I try to keep up with him, he becomes frustrated. He also doesn't play games to bring out his full strength.

To be honest, my body feels completely numb from all the collisions we've had. His attacks were so intense that the pain seemed to radiate through my entire body.

Whenever we clash, terrified screams echo through the air, coming from both humans and monsters. This stadium, which used to be grand, was also riddled with holes and had cracked walls that made it vulnerable to collapse.

'Don't even think about pointing fingers at me. I've been holding myself back, but let me tell you, that monster has an ego like no other. Every move he makes, he ends up hurting his own comrades, sometimes even taking their lives.'

Out of nowhere, Gouketsu abruptly stopped his assault. It wasn't like he was taking a rest due to exhaustion, which left me a bit puzzled. However, my confusion quickly dissipated when he revealed something in his hand, instantly conveying his intentions.

"I gotta hand it to you. You're just as strong as me. As much as I'd love to take you down, I can't ignore my duties. So consider yourself lucky—I'm giving you a chance to level up."

"No way, I'm not doing it."

"What? I'm a bit confused. Believe it or not, I used to be a pretty weak martial artist. But something incredible happened - I devoured this cell monster, and it completely transformed me. Now, I possess an unimaginable amount of strength. Just take a look at how effortlessly I defeated Seiryu."

"I get what you're saying, but the truth is, you were relying on the power of other monsters... and by the way, you were mistaken about something—I'm way stronger than you."

Once the dust settled from the intense battle, it dawned on me just how powerful my body had become, thanks to my mother's experiments. It was now capable of taking on monsters of Dragon-level threats without breaking a sweat. And with the new and improved battle suit my dad created, I'm pretty sure I can take him down.

"Hahaha... what a load of nonsense you're spouting!" Gouketsu was in for a surprise when my body vanished right before his eyes, leaving him speechless.

As I reappeared next to him, I was already decked out in my battle suit. This time, my fist is powered by rocket power, giving it a tremendous boost in strength compared to before.

What was going to happen next was pretty obvious. A massive explosion rocked the stadium, sending powerful gusts of wind swirling in every direction, carrying clouds of dust along with it.

All eyes were fixed on the center of the arena, and a silence fell over the crowd. I was floating in the air, wearing my battle suit. In front of me, Gouketsu's body stood, seemingly unaffected. But I couldn't help but smile.

Gouketsu's large and spiky head had already turned completely around, a full 180 degrees. His face appeared frozen, with all four red eyes wide open. His mouth hung open in shock, but there was no way to undo it now.
