After the bathhouse, Jinghua took Bingwen back to the cellar room. "You wanted to know the reason you're here?" Jinghua asked as Bingwen took a seat on the floor. "I do. I want to know exactly everything that happened." Bingwen said, seriously. Jinghua sighed and took a seat on the bed. "My father wants to kill you. Not just you though, everyone." Jinghua said. Bingwen was shocked. "It's true that it was his intention to kill you with the arrow. He wanted you to die. He despises you. You, the first born son of the Yusheng clan, bring happiness and honor to almost all clans. My father wanted that to be me. He wants you dead. But he couldn't kill you. You forgot everything. It was his plan to kidnap you and bring you here." Jinghua paused. "Then why are you here?" Bingwen asked. Jinghua stared blankly at the floor. "He wants me to do it. My father wants me to kill you." He said. Bingwen didn't know what to think. "My family was born from truly evil devils. Demons. Ones meant to kill people like you. Rays of sunshine, golden children, chosen ones. My mother loved you though. She wouldn't want this. If she saw how I was now, she'd be disappointed. But I have a plan. In two years from now, when everyone's travels come to an end, I'm going to kill my father and become emperor." Bingwen stood up. "You can't do that! If anyone found out, you would be a murderer." He exclaimed.
"I'd be a murderer for killing you though. So there wouldn't be a difference now." Jinghua said smiling.
"There is a difference! He's your father! I'm just a…I'm.." Bingwen paused. "Now that I think about it, It wouldn't really matter if you killed me. I really don't have a reason to still be alive." Jinghua grabbed Bingwen's hand, gripping it firmly. "Bingwen I can't kill you!" He said. Bingwen thought in his mind, "Yeah, but is that really true? Wait…why did he call me by that name again?" It was true. Jinghua slipped on his words and said 'Bingwen' again. "You keep calling me that. I can't seem to understand why though." Bingwen said. Jinghua looked sad. "It was a childhood nickname. You gave me one as well. Jinghua. So I called you Bingwen." Jinghu said with a sigh. Bingwen sat back down. "Listen. I'm going to get you out of here. Just give me a day. And after that, I'll go with you. I'll be like a royal guard." Jinghua told him with a small smile. "But what about your father?" Bingwen asked.
"It won't matter. He might send disciples to look for me but we can out run them together. Just like you promised me."
Suddenly, the last words in Jinghua's sentence struck up a memory from Bingwen's past of their childhood.
"Bingwen, when we get older, let's always be together!" Young Jinghua told Bingwen, locking their pinky fingers together."But what will happen when you have to marry my sister?" Bingwen replied with a sad look in his eyes, his cheeks partially red. "Well… I won't! I'd rather spend my life with you than her anyway!!"
Binngwen was shocked. "What happened?" Jinghua asked.
"I remembered something about us. You told me to always be with each other. And I asked what would happen if you married Yuming. You told me it wouldn't happen. And…you made a promise. What…did you promise me?" Bingwen felt like he had asked this question before. But he never did. Jinghua thought for a moment. "I don't remember. But I'm sure the thought will come to mind soon enough. Keep asking me and I might remember."
After an hour or so of chatting, Jinghua left the room. It would only be another day before the two would run for their lives. Not only Bingwen but Jinghua would be running from his death. His father would soon catch him if he didn't hurry.
