Chapter 6 - Moon flower

But this time something was different. The windows were frozen at the edge and the ice started to cover the whole window frame. she couldn't believe her eyes.'Was someone playing a bad joke on me?' her hand that was clutching her night gown was trembling. she wanted to be brave and face it. But she was more scared of what she will find beyond these unreasonable things. This has been going on for about a year now but there was nothing she could do and no one she could tell.

seconds passed but the voices grow stronger making Silvia feel dizzy. She clutched her head with both arms and gritted her teeth.

"Stop!!" she said but the voice kept ringing in her ear, in her mind like a sound in an empty space. It shook her heart. The feeling of melancholy was gripping on her lonely heart.

"Stop!!"She screamed again but the voice kept coming and coming, again and again.Nothing could stop it.She couldn't keep up with it so she slide down on the ground, holding her ears to stop the sounds from ringing inside her "Stop!!" she screamed again but nothing. "Please..." she begged now her voice trembling, her eyes filled with tears,"I beg you.... stop..."she sobbed.

And suddenly, the room turned quit. The resonating of the whisper halted. Silvia paused her crying and looked up. And a sigh of relief left through her lips'it's stopped' she thought. she slowly stood up from where she was sitting. the Frost on the window was nowhere to be seen. It was like it never occurred before. The light that dimmed in the room turned back to its original brightness. as Silvia walked around the room, she noticed something glowing in the room. She looked down to find the source only to freeze in shock. her right hand was glowing at the center of her palm. She lifted her arm and looked at it the glow seems to look like a crescent moon shape. It confused her. Why does she have this mark on her palm?. She wondered as she walked to the window to open it. But surprisingly something unexpected happened. as soon as the moon's light reached her palm, the crescent mark started to glow brilliantly.

"What is happening here??!! can anybody tell why I have a crescent moon mark on my palm that I don't even know about!!" Well, who would blame her. How would one feel when they wake up in the morning to realize that the have a third eye. all these years, she thought she knew her self. She never thought she would have a mark on her body other than the mark on her left chest that looked a purple moonflower. It was faint but it was there. Her mother was the one to put the mark on her body when she was born. she vividly remembered a scene in one of her memories.

"mother!!!!" little girl holding her her skirt was running down the field to her mother's side. with the sun so high on the sky the little girl's hair was shining brightly.

"slowdown Silvia, do you wan to roll over the ground with that beautiful dress?" her mother scolded her. She was sitting the ground watching as her little girl run around to catch butterflies. "why don't you go ad pick some flowers, darling?"she chuckled looking at little Silvia jumping up and down. " I don't want to mommy." she pouted as she made her way to the young lady sitting on the green lush grass.

"And why is that?" her mother asked again. and this time the little girls giggled mysteriously while slowly sitting down. And she whispered "Because mommy, I already have a flower on my chest. I don't need to pick the one's that will wilt the next day."

Her mother was utterly speechless by the thing her little girl said. And then she started laughing loudly. "Hahahaha... oh my, where did you learn to say this?"

the Little girl was confused.'why did mother laugh at what I said?' but then another thought came into her mind. "Mother."she called, "but why do I have a flower on my chest?"

there was a brief silence before her mother started to speak. "honey, this flower" she said while pointing on Silvia's chest with her index finger, "is called moon flower. every flower has its meaning for example, Daffodils represent new begining, daisy shows loyal love, Roses mean love and beauty. And....moonflower shows guidance."
