Everyone was seated in the room. Surrounding a big ling round table and at the head of that table sat their Lord. Azazel Shaw.
The huge double door to the large dinning room opened exposing Grey and Bloom.
Bloom was wearing a white off shoulder top with a three quarter sleeve and a black and white horizontally striped skirt that sat flared from her waist to a few inches below her mid thighs.
Her hair was packed into a high ponytail and her face had so little to no makeup.
"What's up guys?" Grey casually greeted the room.
"Lord Azazel." He respectfully greeted the brooding man who stared at his assistant.
Grey led Bloom to a seat beside himself. Bloom was a little calm as the person that sat beside her was Bellamy.
Bloom had a small nervous smile on her face as she tried not to focus on Lord Azazel's eyes that was currently drilling into her.
Bloom was already regretting giving in to Grey demands and coming to the Dinner. She was feeling very uncomfortable and very unwanted.
They started dinner and Bloom was quiet through it. She didn't want to say anything. The supernaturals made small talk here and there. Although Bloom pretended to be focus on her food but she was hearing what they were saying and it was harder to ignore that some of the wine glasses on the table was clearly filled with blood.
It took every will power within Bloom not to hurlthat was why she was chewing carefully on her food so that she wouldn't embarrass herself and barf.
"You're Lord Azazel's new assistant right?" A brown haired werewolf spoke up.
Bloom smiled in affirmation not really willing to talk.
"I'm Authur." He introduced, his aura giving off warmth making Bloom a little comfortable.
"Bloom." Bloom introduced herself in return.
"Didn't think we'll have a human sitting at our table." A voice growled out with hostility.
Bloom turned to a young guy. He looked few years younger than her.
Bloom had prepared herself for some hostility but she was taken aback by the venom in his voice.
"Hugo." Grey warned.
Hugo didn't look like he was ready to back down as he showed Grey his canines.
Bloom's chest filled with fear as the air thickens. Bloom acknowledged that agreeing with Grey was a bad idea.
"Do you have a problem with my assistant? Hugo."
This time it was Lord Azazel that spoke up. His voice was low but held storm. The room stilled and became silent.
"O-Of c-course not." Hugo stuttered bowing his head in submission.
Grey looked over at Lord Azazel and he knew he would be questioned as to why he brought her but Grey didn't know why but he was fascinated by the girl who couldn't he compelled.
Grey have seen how brave she could be. It was fascinating and Grey knew he wasn't the only one wondering about her. Everyone was too. Including Lord Azazel.
Bloom couldn't help but feel uncomfortable but what caught her eyes was the huge painting that sat in he wall opposite her.
The main colour was red and black. The image seem blurry but Bloom could see something different. The painting seemed like a huge tree and first glance but looking at it different forms began to take shape.
It was like she was drawn to it.
Bellamy looked at Bloom and tried to look at what had captured her attention. He could see her attention on the painting. He looked at the look on her face. It was like she was making something out of it.
Bloom's weird pause also caught the eyes of the others in the room who looked at the woman fascinated by an ancient painting. A painting of their history.
"You must find the painting interesting ." Lucas said almost pulling Bloom out of her concentration.
"I guess I do." Bloom saod not still taking her eyes off the painting. She could see something forming on the images, not just one images was contained in the painting. It was like a thousand, all telling different stories.
"Bloom." Grey called trying to pull Bloom from her daze but Bloom's attention was focused on the painting.
Grey and Lucas exchanged a look with Bellamy as they wondered what was causing the human female's reaction.
The others were looking intently at her inclusive Lord Azazel. Especially Azura.
"What do you see Bloom?" Azura asked in a soft tone.
Bloom's eyebrows twitched like she heard her and she didn't hear her at same time.
Everyone looked at Azura and wondered what the vampire witch hybrid was up to. But one thing was sure Azura was a powerful witch and she didn't do anything for nothing. she is one of Azazel's most trusted and oldest friends.
Bloom turned her head a little. She didn't know why she couldn't pull away until she could make everything out. Images flashed before her eyes and in her mind.
"In my life and in my death." Bloom saod still staring at the painting.
"What?" Grey asked confused.
Bloom looked away from the painting like she was pulled out of her trance.
"In life and in death. What's that?" Grey asked.
"In the painting." Bloom answered casually surprisingly relieved she could make out something in the painting.
"The painting of the Father tree?" This time it was Hugo that asked.
"I don't think it's a tree." Bloom said casually before picking a piece of the meat into her mouth as chewing it slowly.
"It is." Hugo argued.
Bloom could feel people staring at her. She felt like she was the centre of attention. She almost slammed her hand against her head for drawing attention to herself.
"Okay." Bloom immediately agreed trying to move away from the spotlight.
"You said in life and death. What did you see?" Azura asks curious to know what the human saw. Azura knew the human saw something. She could hear it, she could feel it.
"Maybe I saw wrong I guess." Bloom smiled nervously but Azura wasn't buying it.
Azura knew the human didn't want an argument with Hugo so she tried to stimulate her confidence and ease her.
"The painting of the Father tree is not just the painting of a tree Bloom. It in is different images. People always see different trees when they look at the painting. I'm curious to Know what you see." Azura said with a friendly smile.
Bloom could not help but feel weird but Azura was being friendly she didn't want to disrespect that.
"Is what you saw a writing?" Azura urged.
"Not really. It doesn't seem like she said something. It's more like she's showing something I guess." Bloom attention was turned back to the painting. She was fascinated. Bloom was not an art person but her grandmother was. Her grandmother appreciated everything in the universe, including art.
"She?" Grey asks confused.
"The woman in that painting."
"What woman?" This time Bellamy asks.
"You don't see it?" Bloom asked also confused.
"Nope." Bellamy responded trying to make out the image of a woman but it was clearly not.
"So people see different things when the looks the painting. That's cool." Bloom was awed. She had being a little sceptical when Azura had told her that people see different things but it asked like she was the only one that saw a woman. She was curious what Bellamy and Grey saw when the looked at the painting.
Not one had any idea what Azura was talking about. Everyone one of them could see a tree when they looked at the painting. No one can see anything else.
Lucas wanted to say something but Azura motioned for him to be quiet. The others could see what Azura did too so they were quiet but curious.
Azazel looked at Azura and Azura looked at him quietly assuring him that all was fine and she knew what she was doing .
"So what do you really see Bloom?" Azura asks.
Everyone in the room sat silent and looked from the witch hybrid to the human curiously.
Bloom looked at the painting again and this time, it was like she could see clearer. It was like she was inside.
Bloom was in a trance again. Grey was worried and wanted to ask the witch what she had done to Bloom but Grey has known Azura for centuries. She was older, wiser and more powerful. Grey trusted Azura so he stayed quite.
"I see a woman." Bloom answered.
"Woman?" Azura urged her to go on.
"She happy and sad. A shadow is after her. It's a man. An evil one. He's going to destroy her." Bloom gasped at the end of her sentence.
Panic seized her. It was like she was inside.
"There's a war. So may death. So may monsters. So many evil. She knows she can't save them. She knows he's going to consume her. She let him. She spends her life protecting them. In life. She takes him with her. In death. She protects in life and in death." Bloom eyes began to water.
The people in the room knew the story well but not like that.
"He's going to get free." Bloom suddenly said making everyone in the room hold still.
"Her hold is on him is breaking. The world would be in the shadow of his darkness." Bloom saod making Azura still and this time for the first time in hundreds of years, the witch's eyes showed fear. A look Grey, Bellamy, Lucas and Azazel recognized.
Bloom felt dizzy. It was like she was suddenly drained out of energy. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she suddenly felt empty.
"Help her" Bloom wisphered before her eyes closed.
Grey caught on to her resting her weight on his shoulders so that she wouldn't hit the table.
Grey looked over at Azura demanding an explanation.
"What the hell?"Grey asks Azura as he looked down at the unconscious woman in his hands.
