The empress had made a foolproof plan for when she went into labor.
She would take Basileus Jr. to Galen and Ebari. Depending on how far apart her contractions were she would either go all the way to the hospital by hovercar–which is what she preferred– or she would stay in the medical wing of the castle where Basileus Jr. had been born in the first place.
When her water broke in the middle of the night, she stood up and decided to go clean herself up in the shower before she would wake Basileus and take their son to their friends' residence in the other spire of the castle. There was no use in putting the emperor in a state of panic prematurely.
