KYLA'S P.O.V
Grace opened the door and came into my room. She dropped her bag on the bed.
"I heard there was a fashion emergency."she said and I chuckled. I actually called her over because I didn't know what to wear. "Ok, so you're meeting his parents, right?"she asked.
"Yeah, and I don't know what to.."
"Shhhh.. don't worry. I'm here for you."she said and went into my closet. She later came out with a beautiful purple strapless dress. It had glitters at the chest part and from the naval down to the hem, was flared. "What do you think about this?"she asked with a smile. I gave her thumbs-up. "You have to get ready now, it's 5 p.m. now." she said.
" He said he will be coming at 6 p.m."I said.
" You don't have much time so get up now." she said to me and I went to the bathroom and had a quick bath. After rubbing my cream, I cladded myself in the dress.
"Wow, it looks good on you." she said. I stared at myself in the mirror. The gown was up above my knees.
"Well purple is my favourite colour."I said and she giggled. She gave me white flat shoe and I wore it. I sat at my dressing table. I put on my earrings and necklace. She helped me brush my hair.
"How does he like your hair? Ponytail or fallen?" she asked.
" Fallen, I guess."I said oblvious of that fact. I added a little lip gloss and perfume. I stood up
"Wow, you look so amazing. I'm sure he's going to drool when he sees you." she said and I smiled. I kept my phone in the white purse. She laid on the bed. "So how about the kiss? Has he kissed you yet?"she asked.
"Not yet, it's really not a big deal that he hasn't kissed me yet." I said even though I felt otherwise.
"It is a big deal."she argued and I just sighed. We heard the car driving in. I rushed to the window, it was my boo.
"He's here." I said.
"Finally, I'm going to see your boyfriend in person." she said.
" Right, and when you see him, don't fall in love with him."I joked and she laughed.
"I won't even think of it." she said and stood up from the bed. We both went downstairs. He was inside already. "Damn.. he's so hot." Grace whispered into my ears and I chuckled. Mum, dad and Daisy were at the dining table. They exchanged pleasantries with Jeremy.
" Hi babe."I said and embraced him shortly.
" Are you ready?" he asked.
"Yep." I said and Grace nudged me. "Oh sorry. Babe, this is Grace, my bestie and Grace this is JeREMY, my boyfriend."I said and they both shook hands.
"Nice meeting you." Jeremy said.
"Same here. Kyla has told me so much about you." Grace said. Now that I think of it, they kinda look alike. Same skin tone, blue eyes and same golden brown hair. Hmm.
She turned to me. "I'll be on my way now, okay?" she said and embraced me. "Ask him about the kiss." she whispered into my ears and refrained from me. I chuckled. "Bye Uncle, bye aunt, bye Daisy." she said.
" Bye."they all said and she left.
"Ok, Mum, Dad we'll be going now." I said and pecked the three of them.
" Take care you two." Mum said.
"We will." I said and we both walked outside. We got into the car.
"You look beautiful baby."he complimented and I smiled.
" Thanks."I said and he started driving. His house was quite far from my house. It took like 20 minutes before we finally branched off to the compound. The house was a little bigger than ours. We alighted from the car. "Your house is huge." I said.
"It is?" he asked, looking at it like he was just seeing it.
"Yeah, so you live alone in this house when your parents are not around." I said.
" Yeah, my friends come over sometimes."he said and stretched his hand to me. " Let's go in." he said and I held his hand. We walked in. Wow, it was so pretty. It smelt wealth. We walked to the living room, no one was there. "Have a seat, I will call my parents,"
"Ok."I nodded and sat down. He went upstairs. I looked around the house. It had expensive chandeliers, beautiful art works all over the wall. I heard some footsteps from the stairs. Jeremy came down with a young lady and a man. Are they supposed to be his parents? I stood up as they came into the living room. Jeremy came beside me and placed his left hand around my waist.
"Baby, these are my parents, Mr and Mrs Wilbert. Dad, Mum, this is Kyla, my girlfriend." he said. So they are really his parents? They look so young, especially his mum. She was really beautiful. Jeremy got most of his physical features from her.
" Nice meeting you." I said.
"Yeah, it's also nice meeting you."his Mum said and embraced me, so did his dad.
"So you are the damsel who stole Jeremy's heart and changed him completely." His dad said and I chuckled, shyly.
" Okay, we'll have dinner soon ok? Take her around the house J-boy." his mum said and I gasped.
"Mum."he called with gritted teeth.
" I'm so sorry." His mum whispered, but to our hearing and his dad laughed. I tried hard not to laugh.
"Come on, let's leave them for now."his dad said and pulled her to a room. I turned to Jeremy.
"Don't do it." He said but I couldn't hold it any longer. I burst into laughter.
"J-boy." I said amidst laughter. He rolled his eyes.
" Don't call me that." he said feeling embarrassed. I used my palm to cover my mouth trying to stop laughing.
"Oh my gosh." I said as my ribs were starting to hurt.
"Quit laughing already. It's not funny."he said and I cleared my throat.
" Ok."I said smiling.
"Let's go." He said I walked behind him upstairs.
I couldn't help but giggle. He turned to me and I tightened my lips. He swayed his head with a smile and held my hand. He opened a door and we walked in. I looked around and stood in front of him.
"By the looks of things, I'm guessing this is your room." I said.
"Yes, you are right."he said and pulled me close to himself. He held my waist firmly staring deeply at me. I placed my hands around his shoulder and stared at his cute lips. Honestly, I was expecting a kiss on the lips but he just gave me a peck. "I love you."he said.
