Chereads / The Rejected King / Chapter 9 - The Prophecy

Chapter 9 - The Prophecy

"The Blood Moon Kingdom is the most vicious kingdom in the Southside. The Iron throne is the strongest seat in the Northside and that seat belongs to King Xerxes; Theo's father.

The silver throne is the highest seat in the Southside and it belongs to King Edward; Eve's father. The King of the Blood Moon Kingdom.

The Southside and the Northside had their differences. They had their own boundaries and scores to settle.

They were bitter rivals in the reign of King Xerxes's Grandfather. His Grandfather was a very decisive man. He wanted to control the whole Kingdom. But his plan failed.

The Kingdom got divided into two. The Northside and the Southside. The Golden Sun Kingdom and the Blood Moon Kingdom.

In the reign of King Xerxes's Father. He made peace with King Edward's Father. They all tied down their flaws and lived in peace.

King Xerxes in all his wars didn't dare to touch a strand of hair from the Southside. Kim Edward in all his sacrilege didn't dare to bite a neck from the Northside.

My name's Eve. I am the first blood vampire. My father King Edward a very calm and wise king. I loved him so much and he loves me as much as I love him.

My mother Queen Helen hates me since the day I was born into this world through her womb.

It's tradition that every century; a hundred years, a queen would begat a girl who would mate a male warewolf who has accepted her.

I was ready to go through all this for the good of my family's dynasty.

My mother is a sex monger. She brought in many young men from the human world. She had sex with them after which she devoured them.

She hates that I was the girl to carry the prophecy. Her son who she bore out of wedlock had sights on the throne but my birth destroyed it all.

My step brother, Clinton very arrogant decisive and strict guy. He treats ladies like trash. He f*cks anything in skirt. My father calls him a sex pervert and I very much agree with him.

The Blood Moon Kingdom was the only Kingdom that guarded the gate to the Human world.

Only members of royalty were allowed through that gate.

I am the prophecy and I've found my first kill. I hope my father accepts Theo" Eve muttered to herself as they arrived the border of the Blood Moon Kingdom.

Theo reasons of doubt increased as he noticed the looks on the people's faces as they galloped past them.

"Am I really safe here? Or have you deceived me to follow you and be killed?" Theo asked trying to shake off his fearful thoughts.

"I can't really do that. Even if I wanted to I would have killed you way back in the forest. Wait till everyone knows who you truly are" Eve said with a big smile on her face.

"Who am I?" Theo asked as confusion engulfed his mind.

"Patience is a virtue; ethics of defeating your enemies with an element of surprise" Eve said as they stopped in front of the castle.

Theo's eyes dilated as he saw the mechanism of the castle. It was easy bigger than his father's and beautifully decorated with flowers.

Theo was thrilled to witness this kind of beauty in an environment. He had to compliment so he said to Eve as the guards opened the gates and they walked in.

"This is beautiful. This Castle just lifted my spirits high in ecstasy"

"You're mesmerizing at the exterior. Wait till you see the interior" Eve replied.

King Edward was surprised to see a man walking so close to his daughter. He had never seen her with a man before. He also noticed the keen attention they both had in each other as they walked towards him.

She bowed to King Edward and said

"Father I have returned from my journey to find the prophecy"

"What prophecy?... Oh King Edward pardon my manners. I am Theseus the first blood and son of Xerxes King of the Golden Sun Kingdom." King Edward said as he bowed his head.

"I know who you are. So tell me your intentions in my kingdom and your intentions with Eve my daughter" King Edward said with sense of urgency.

"I only followed Eve on her demand and I haven't had anything to do with your daughter" Theo replied in a mild tone trying not to overstep his boundaries with his words.

"Father you don't have to bulge a visitor with questions. It's not welcoming. This man you see here is my first kill" Eve said with her eyes fixed on her father.

"Guards please take Theo to a perfect chamber for him to take rest. He's tired from a long journey." King Edward ordered his guards.

Theo was escorted out of the palace.

King Edward looked at Eve with his questioning eyes which made him ask her.

"What do you mean by He's the prophecy"

"He's the one with the pure soul" Eve said jiggling around with her feet.

"Is he your first kill?" King Edward asked in a low tone.

"Yes father he's my first kill and he lives to fulfill the prophecy"Eve answered as she clasped her hands in anticipation.

"Remember the prophecy. You're to suffer with him till eternal rest. Are you going to do that?" King Edward asked in a less convincing manner hoping that Eve's answer would not be contradictory.

"That prophecy also said the suffering would last for a period of time and then our lives would be restored back to normal" Eve said confidently.

"Are you ready for all the dejection, rejection, hatred, disownment and many other afflictions you would face?" King Edward asked with his eyes fixed sternly on Eve.

"I've really thought about all this and I said to myself why wait another century when I can really go through this. Father I'm ready for any punishment and trials that would befall me." Eve said not withholding any feelings.

"Very outrageous. What an emphatic display of stupidity?" Queen Helen said as she walked in through the West door.
