Chapter 22 - Inside Heaven

A big door close for almost half a millennium, now moving to the left and right, invites anyone to twilight.

It stunned Felix for a moment. It was his first time seeing a wall open like that. He said, "Did I do something wrong?"

Roselin said, "You come in, quickly, Sweety.""

Felix helped Linsy pack her bags, and both ran inside.

"Felix, hurry!" Linsy tone raised, pulling Felix inside and forcing his palm to touch the screen next to the door from inside.

Slowly, two doors that were not yet fully open moved to close. However, four robots outside didn't stay still.

Those intelligent robots understand if their chance to approach them was retinal. They were on one knee, and their hands were by their sides, toppled to the ground. Their chests open. One robot fired four missiles, a total of sixteen missiles hurtled toward Felix and the three girls.

"Oh no, no, no, we can't destroy all those missiles!" Linsy pointed a vast desk at the center room. "Everyone, hide!"

Those four ran, jumped over a vast table, and hid behind it while peeking outside.

Felix realized a table like this couldn't protect them, but what was his other choice?

"Prepare for impact!" Linsy closing her eyes, pulling herself behind the counter, and squatting her head between her legs.

"Oh no, I don't want to die as a virgin!" Anastasia hugged Felix's arm like a bolster, closing her eyes tightly.

"Oh, dear…." Roselin closed her eyes and bent down to hide behind the desk.

Likewise with Felix. He did not want to die like this.

The door was tightly closed. The booms echoed from outside and caused a small earthquake that knocked over several screens and books on the table. After everything was calm, they found everything was fine. Looks like luck has not abandoned them.

Roselin got up and pulled on her dress, patting her arms to brush off the dust. "Ara ara, we're safe. Are you all okay?"

"Yes, I am doing okay." Linsy got up, studied her surroundings that started lighted. "Oh wow, this… amazing."

The main door has a loud banging sound. The sentry robots have yet to give up on chasing them.

The darkness slowly dissipated with the appearance of light on the large screen attached to the wall and from many blubs on the ceiling above them. The screen that was many times the size of quest broad at Tavern Hunter, displayed a video, and Felix failed to blink at it.

[Welcome to France's storage bunker number 1004. Here we store works of art and various medicinal materials, protected them from destruction caused by nuclear war. If you see this video, congratulations, you are the ones chosen to return art to the upper world.] A female voice echoes through the dim room.

"Hey, can you take off your hug?" Felix shake Anastasia, who still closed her eyes.

"Huh? Where is this?" She gasped to find Felix's friendly smile, releasing her embrace. Her face red, and she didn't dare look back. "You took advantage of me? What kind of man are you?"

"Thank you, Felix you help me again and again. Oh, no problem, you're welcome. Is that so easy, you know."

Felix was more interested in exploring an endless vast space than fighting against girl. "What place is this?"

"Looks like a warehouse. Sweety, how do you open the door?" Roselin approaching him.

"Who knows." Felix let Linsy and Roselin, observe his both palm closely.

Linsy compared it with her palm.

"What are you doing?" he said.

"Checking, how could your palm open the door, while we not?"

"Luck," said Anastasia, taking apart some books. "Wow, these books look like they've just been printed, even though it's been five hundred years, right?"

Roselin released her grip on Felix's hand, then opened several books on the table as she replied, "Without air and sunlight, this place preserved everything within."

"Felix, can I borrow your hand?" Linsy dragged Felix without caring if the young man who had to bend down almost fell. "Maybe this palm of yours will work."

"Linsy, I could fall!"

"Yeah, he's right," Anastasia said, grinning sarcastically. "Just cut his wrists. It'd be easier to carry around, wouldn't it?"

"Your wish." Felix tone almost nothing. That girl looking for fight!

He tried to accompany Linsy, because he wanted to know what was inside the locked metal doors.

"Come on, Felix. Your palms to the screen," Linsy voice full of hope and excitement. "Come on, Felix, hurry."

"Yes, yes, one moment." When touching the screen, a beep beep tone echoed.

[Access denied. Need admin approval to enter control room]

Anastasia laughs annoyingly. "I told you, back then, it was just luck. The old machine may be malfunctioning."

"This machine may be damaged." Linsy pulled Felix, running farther and farther to the next door.

This time, [Access Granted] The door opened upwards.

Lights flickered inside before shining brightly. Many cabinets are lined with aluminum walls.

Linsy deftly opened the cabinets one by one. Books, picture frames, small statues, bones, and maps are all neatly arranged.

Anastasia clapped hand. "Oh, my Archon! This is a treasure worth millions of gold coins! The Academy must love all this. We are rich!" Nobody knows how long she was there. She always shadowed Felix and took a peek every second.

However, Linsy sighed heavily. "Not technology. What is art for?"

"Display?" Felix shake off his grandeur. "Could become a money, right, if sold?"

"I don't care about that. What I want is technology. Come on, there's plenty of room." Linsy put Felix into another room.

"Hah, just a tool." Anastasia followed them closely. "Ah, I should stared calling you a tool man."

He started felt like being a tool. Linsy, her cute girl and Felix love being dragged around like this, but, a tool. Just a tool. That hurt his feeling.

She hurriedly put Felix's palm on the screen to open the door. She didn't care if Felix fell. Linsy still dragged him. Tech-crazy girls were scarier than cayenne girls like Anastasia.

The door opened, a lot of exciting stuff on the table inside and a big screen computer at the far end of room.

"Jackpots!" Linsy slid toward the computer, humming.

Felix examined the objects on the table. He discovered silica aerogel. Suddenly, he laughed hard. "Finn, Finn, you can finally walk again! Finally!"

"Finn?" Anastasia crossed her arm. She showed an annoyed face. "Your girlfriend?"

"Woah, look at this, Sweety. There are a lot of Alchemist Stones stored here and these gauges, just like in the Academy." Roselin's eyes shining brightly. "Felix, come here for a second. Are you interested in having powers like us?"
