Felix's ears don't lie, do they? They wanted to share their incredible power? Three girls want Felix to control the elements?
He approached Roselin. "You mean with powers like yours, power of passing electricity, making shields?"
"It's like that, Sweety, but a little different."
"Does it hurt?" Felix wondered if he would do it.
"Depends which stone suits you, Sweety." Roselin put a container filled with many colorful stones, then placed a long rectangular object next to the container. "All right, where's your hand? We'll test which stone is suitable. Don't be afraid. It only hurts at first."
"Wow, wait a minute." Linsy intervened between Roselin and Felix, her voice rising as she looked at Roselin. "What are you doing?"
"Testing, which stone–"
"This is all against the rules. How do you explain everything to the Academy?" Linsy pulled Felix away. "Come on, let's continue opening the doors–"
"Wait a minute, Sweetie." Roselin grabbed Felix's other arm before they went far, stopping them in the tracks. "I'm the team leader, I'll take care of everything. We need all the power to leave."
"But the rules–"
"I'm in charge, you hear Sweety?" Roselin's intonation rose, and her grip on Felix strengthened, not wanting to let him go. "We need the power to leave before the cans get in."
"Enter?" Linsy chuckled, tugging at Felix harder. "They won't come in. The door is made of thick material, can withstand nuclear blasts!"
"How do we leave this place?"
"I don't know. I am certain there will be a way. Don't break the rules, Rose. You're our role model, why would you break the rules?"
Anastasia's loud coughing made two girls turn towards her. "The door is beginning to crack. It will break in any minute."
The two girls didn't let Felix go while he scanned those stones. "How do you wear that thing?" His eyes fell on the cluster of stones.
"Don't even try." Linsy let Felix go, stood with her back to the desk, and pointed at Felix's face. "You're not the Academy, you're not the Faith Order, you're nothing."
"He's a tool man." Anastasia approached them. "This is a precarious situation. Look, we need help and a Tool Man will be more useful if he has elemental powers. We need strength to defeat the four stupid robots outside, or at least create an opening to escape. "
"You always break the rules!" Linsy brushed off Anastasia's hand, which was about to pick up a rock. "You're going to drag us into big trouble. The Academy would disapprove of this. We will be punished. Please reconsider, Rose."
"Hey, at least we can live, right?"
"Sweety, we will die if they–"
A loud bang startled them. There was a human arm-sized gap in the door after it was pushed in.
Linsy snorted in annoyance, throwing rocks at the desk. "Quick, do it. Don't blame me if anything happens."
"Thanks, Linsy. You are a good girl, but this is for our good." Roselin grabbed a strange device with a noodle at the front of it. "Sweety, it's gonna hurt. But, you would love it after it is done."
Roselin put seven different colored stones into the machine. "I'll explain everything later. Are you ready?"
Felix nodded and smiled. Having great strength like them would undoubtedly allow him to hunt alone. Solo Hunter will be the most excellent hunter. Not just in Orzon but in Frankia. Even on the European continent.
"Why laugh alone?" Anastasia's gaze was dirty, and she folded her arms before her flat chest. "You're just a Tool Man; your given this opportunity because you're a Tool. Got that?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." When the tool bit his arm, Felix groaned. It felt like being bitten by a giant bee. "Ouch, it hurts."
"I warned you, Sweety." Roselin checked the test results. She finger closed her mouth wide-open, eyebrows pulled up. "Oh Archon, this… this can't be."
Linsy, who was ignorant, immediately peeked. "Yes Archon, how come?" She snatched the tool in Roselin's hand. "This, this is impossible. The head of the Frankia branch of the Academy can't reach this high number how could he?"
"What are you all fussing about?" Anastasia peeked, and her chin dropped. "Huh? How is that possible? This device must be broken!"
The three girls scrambled to see the device that had just sucked Felix's blood. They occasionally shot Felix with a strange look.
Felix joined them. "What was happening?" He stood between Linsy and Anastasia. He needing help to understand the meaning of the writing on the device he was pointing at. "What does all that mean? So which stone is right for me?"
"Sweety, what do you want to control? Because you… You, you are special."
"Me? Special?" Felix laughed. He knew he was special!
"Are you crazy? Why you laughed like a—"
The sound of the crash made the four of them almost stop their heart beating! The hole in the door was getting bigger.
