Chapter 56 - Break in

This rest of the lessons time was spent letting the teams get closer to their familiars since they had just met not so long ago. it was a very fast process since the soul bond made both parties inclined to be friendly so it was simply a matter of socializing between each persons familiars. the easiest team that had their familiars get comfortable with each other was team jnpr. this was almost entirely because of how close pyrrha and jaune's familiars got as soon as they saw the other. leon chuckled when he saw how the closeness of those two familiars left pyrrha and jaune red faced and embarrassed.

Team rwby however was having serious problems getting their familiars to get along thanks to the headstrong personalities of ruby's , weiss's and blakes familiars. yang's familiar simply didn't seem to care how the other three acted and for good reason too since at the moment it could easily kill all of them without breaking a sweat. of the three headstrong creatures the growlithe was the best behaved while weiss's rajang was the definition of a wild child. ruby's velkhana was just flat out standoffish and arrogant as it chilled it's surroundings without care for anyone other than ruby and itself.

The potential power of the team was the highest out of all the teams but also needed the most work to harness that power. team jnpr came in a close second in terms of power but didn't need even a quarter the work to reach their full potential. leon wasn't surprised to see that genesis was still the most powerful familiar amongst those summoned. leon himself was probably one of the most talented and gifted people to ever walk remnant thanks to his falna and sharingan alone ,but add his semblance and he was frankly monstrously talented.

Nergigante were actually one of the few species that actually evolved by themselves into their far more powerful ravager subspecies individually. most monster species needed several generations and strict resource enrichment to do the same. but if a nergigante ate enough and lived long enough they could transition to their ravager form almost guaranteed. even more crazy is that the base form nergigante were capable of going toe to toe with velkhana and even coming out on top. this meant that ruby's familiar was about the same level as genesis at the moment but would be left behind as time moved on.

The next two classes were much like the first in that no one wanted to miss the opportunity that summoning a familiar presented them. unlike the first class however there was a single student between all of the classes who set off the evil safeguard. it was a boy by the name of cobalt tyler who had short brown hair and green eyes that was also a dog faunus. the boy seemed disappointed at failing to summon a familiar but didn't kick up a fuss about it since leon had told the lie about the safety measures true purpose.

It wasn't until later that night that leon learned that the boy was a white fang operative when he led a group of the white fang to the area that had the summoning circle. only ozpin was aware that leon had put warning devices all over that are to tell him when someone trespassed. it was five minutes to midnight when leon got the alarm warning him of someone being where they shouldn't be. the place leon conducted his lessons was located almost directly above his cave abode so it only took him a minute or so to reach it after getting the warning.

When leon arrived he found the team of six white fang members messing with the security circle in an attempt to get it down. leon assumed this was so they could record the summoning circle and let them have the entire organization summon familiars at their own locations. thankfully the infernal script was highly volatile if even a single error was made in the lettering. so when one of the people got the bright idea of just scraping the letters out all hell broke loose.

The sentence that made up the circle went from {obscure the inside without blocking objects entering or leaving } to {erase the inside without blocking objects entering or leaving}. the opaque dome turned red but none of the white fang members had even realized that they had just failed their mission by erasing the summoning circle in it's entirety. leon as the master of the language knew what had just happened so he just left them alone with a smirk. there was no need to worry about the circle getting out because of these people so leon just waited for them to realize that they had fucked up with a mocking smile.
