Soon, the atmosphere was dominated by the conversation between the Lady and the other guests. Kirsi accidentally met the gaze of the man just now, seeing that the man never took his eyes off Kirsi. When almost everyone had gathered, Kirsi excused herself for a moment to go to the restroom. She wouldn't dare spoil her makeup by washing her face. The purpose of leaving is simply to lure in someone who seems to have something to say to her, and to give that person a chance.
Sure enough, not long after Kirsi left her place and went to a secluded place, someone followed her from behind. Kirsi didn't mince words as she said, "You look despise me."
The person stopped moving.
Kirsi continued, "I am a woman who lives a life of accumulating hate. Come on, tell me, what kind of hatred do you carry towards me?"
The man took a disdainful breath, and said, "You truly have guts."
He walked closer so that the shadow of his tall body covered Kirsi's entire body which still has her back facing him. Continuing, "Your past actions are still vividly etched in my memory. There is still a chance for you to apologize, and I've already given you chances many times. But you continue to treat me like an idiot. Is it fun to keep teasing me? If so, then why are you not laughing? Kirsi Daciana Reverie, come on, don't you like thrilling types of games? Why not get into bed with more people?"
It was only then that Kirsi turned her head, with a smooth gesture, when the distance was so close that the two of them bumped into each other. Kirsi's shoulder touched the man's solar plexus. Touching the expensive clothes that wrapped his body. This man was at least as tall as Cedric's ears with a charming physique. His hair is a golden blonde with fiery red eyes. Apart from his sharp gaze, his lips were also extremely spicy. Kirsi bravely looked him straight in the bitchy eyes. Replying, "Would you like to suggest me climb on your bed too? Or would you like to suggest your father's bed instead?"
The young man grabbed Kirsi's shoulder and gripped her rough while talking through gritted teeth. "Do it if you dare. Then I will turn all of Hilaria upside down to see who dares to side with you and knock on all their doors in the middle of the night."
This person is Arthur Khaira Reverie, the protagonist. Kirsi would not have thought that they would meet here. Not to mention, in such an unfriendly atmosphere. Kirsi didn't plan to anger Arthur at first, but this man's words were so harsh that she herself couldn't help but smack back at him. Kirsi knew this was not a good thing. Just yesterday she promised Cedric to behave herself. But only a few days had passed and she had already exploded with her emotions.
"Investigate then." Kirsi removed Arthur's hand from her shoulder. The man's eyes seemed irritated by the red marks he left behind on her. He was a man of good morals, just as the author said. Although the point of morality is slightly off the mark. But he certainly wouldn't let a woman go outside with such a grip. In one fell swoop, Arthur took off his outer garment to give to Kirsi. Unfortunately, the woman had no intention of accepting his kindness.
"Are you scared?" Kirsi challenged him once again.
Arthur frowned, "Are you drunk?"
"If you're not afraid, then let others see it. A real man must take responsibility for his actions." The grip marks on Kirsi's shoulders stood in stark contrast to her fresh yellow skin. Like a bloody tooth trying to bite an apple. Seems painful to imagine. After saying that, Kirsi turned to leave him.
She returned to the meeting place and mingled casually, as if there was nothing wrong with her. Other Lady were busy questioning her condition and repeatedly interviewed who dared to leave such marks on her. And by the time Arthur also returned to his place, the people immediately gained a tacit understanding and asked no more.
Kirsi's main purpose in going to this meeting was solely to get Eugene familiar with her. She won't immediately talk about her business. Kirsi barely touched any food during the meeting. And when two hours went by so slowly, the first person to resign was herself.
"Let's meet another time." Kirsi bids her farewell to Eugene who barely spoke a word to her during the meeting.
"With pleasure, Madam. I will be looking forward to it." Eugene smiled casually. On the outside, it seemed that Kirsi's plan to target him had failed. But as someone who could read a person's heart through their eyes, Kirsi knew how enthusiastic this old man was about her.
Kirsi came out and met Arthur once again on the road. When the man just opened his mouth to say something, Kirsi was already on the edge of her seat when she had been holding back her nausea all along. So, with that imprecise momentum, the sound of Kirsi's empty vomit coming out coincided with Arthur's words.
The person in the distance who was sitting perched on top of a tree bit the weeds and commented, "Wow, his pride will absolutely not accept this."
Someone else who was licking a brush huffed in annoyance, before dipping the tip of his brush in the ink from the charcoal mill. The two men camped on the roof of the Bougenville Park hall for some time, before moving up the tree as soon as the target moved. One was busy biting the roots of the weeds between his teeth, while the other was busy writing in his small memo about the series of events that had just happened in front of him in the shortest possible way. He had only written half of it when he began to hesitate. "Eh, this is going to be hard to report. Should I write that Madam is humiliating the third Prince, or should I write that the words of the third Prince make Madam sick?"
The person who bit the weed snorted, "Do you have a certain grudge against the Third Prince?"
A 14-year-old boy holding a small notebook and his brush frowned. "No. I just simply don't like him."
"You are not paid to vent your personal feelings. Write as is without adding unnecessary comments."
"Then what should I write?"
"Just put it this way, Madam threw up right when the Third Prince started to speak. Apparently, she wanted to humiliate him."
"...Isn't that the same?!" The boy with the brush snapped angrily.
The sloppy man with a scar across his eye and his chin scratching his ear with his little finger, didn't seem guilty at all.
They were still fighting when Arthur shut his mouth deliberately. Kirsi really didn't do it on purpose. Lately, her belly is uncompromising and often causes problems. "Can we postpone our debate for another time? I'm not feeling well."
Arthur wrinkled his nose, like disgust, but it wasn't directed at Kirsi, but rather at her strange words. He replied, "No, it's better not to argue again next time."
"Okay." Kirsi nodded and Arthur left without saying goodbye.
When they got home, Cedric was fishing in the fish pond next to his mansion. With a large straw hat covering his head, looking solemn and undisturbed. He on busy days always wears stifling formal clothes. And now when he is enjoying his day off, he looks relaxed in a plain t-shirt and shorts. A cigarette stuck to his lips. He was too focused to not notice the arrival of his little wife.
In a luxurious and elegant gown that didn't match the damp and dirty poolside environment, Kirsi squatted carefreely. But because her stomach was uncomfortable, she stood back up. She commented, "You like fishing?"
Cedric bites his cigarette, "Why not? Fishing is a manly hobby."
Kirsi looked at the bamboo stick that Cedric was holding flatly. "Then I patented that cooking is an extreme hobby."
"Why patent something you've never even done?"
Kirsi squinted, "You underestimated me."
Cedric sneered, "I wouldn't dare."
Kirsi had no intention of continuing this debate and prepared to leave. She didn't remember that her dress was so out of place when she unluckily stepped on the hem of her dress. It makes her lose her balance.
Humanity's instinct to find a grip when they were in a wobbly state made her reach Cedric immediately. The movement was too exciting that instead of successfully pulling Cedric to balance, she pushed Cedric and plunged herself into the pool at the same time. Kirsi was very good at swimming, just not in such a heavy dress. When panic was about to strike, someone hugged her from behind and bit her earlobe painfully. She complained, "Ouch. What's wrong with you? "
"You did it on purpose." Cedric hissed behind her. Snuggled his face in the crook of her neck.
"If I did it on purpose, I wouldn't let myself fall and choose to watch you quietly from above instead."
"I can't swim, what should I do?" Cedric's hands wrapped tightly around her stomach. Adding to Kirsi's discomfort. After a little squirm, Kirsi shifted Cedric's hand slightly down. It was close enough to the more embarrassing part so she shifted it up again.
"What are you doing?" Cedric spoke right into her neck, sending a strange vibration travelling through her body. Kirsi had goosebumps, between embarrassment and chills, mixed with a hint of adrenaline.
"I'm waiting for the knight on the white horse to save me."
Cedric laughed, "Do you think he will come?"
"Why won't he come?"
Cedric commented, "How about you just be the knight on a white horse and save me?"
Kirsi nudged Cedric behind her in the chest, "If I were a knight on a white horse, then I wouldn't want to save a princess like you."
"Even if I'm about to give you a kiss?"
"Your kiss is meaningless."
"What about my body?" While saying that, Cedric rubbed his hard stomach muscles against Kirsi's back.
Kirsi's cold face was unshakable, "What's so great about your body?"
"Of course, you can admire it. I'm so cool."
Kirsi didn't accept, sneering dryly, "Why do I need you to admire something? I'm no less cool myself. I can admire my own body in the mirror."
"There are still other things this Majesty's body can do."
"Then how about we use your body to go up instead? I can't feel my legs anymore."
Cedric laughed and started to carry the two to the edge of the pool and up. Alruna and several other ladies-in-waiting had already prepared clean towels and bathrobes for them. Knowing that Kirsi's long gown wouldn't let her walk that easily, Cedric picked up Kirsi in one fell swoop and carried her to the bathroom in their room.
Cedric only put Kirsi down after he made sure the water wasn't too cold for a bath. Still have to wait a little longer if you want to take a warm shower. They would be like old cabbages if they had to wait longer. Especially Kirsi in her ball gown.
"There's not enough time to ask for hot water. We'll end up with a cold before we can take a shower." Cedric didn't carry Kirsi like a princess, but carried her like he was carrying a small toddler with her front facing him, hugging his neck tightly, and Cedric's held her body with just one hand. Cedric sniffed Kirsi's neck casually, as if he was checking the perfume quality before buying it. "My beautiful wife doesn't need a milk bath sprinkled with flower petals and pearl powder for a bath, does she?"
"Shut up."
Cedric lowered Kirsi by the large bathtub, without talking trying to help her unbutton the back of her gown. Kirsi was nervous and instantly turned to face Cedric. Her normally calm and focused eyes now looked left and right back and forth as she said, "I'm going to take a shower myself."
"Fine. You will shower by yourself, and I will shower after you."
"Okay. "
"..."
"..."
"Why don't you come out?"
"I didn't say I'm going to come out."
Kirsi was angry, so she removed the towel from her hair and threw it in Cedric's face. She said fiercely, "Don't get rid of it until I'm done showering."
But of course, that's not going to happen because ten seconds later, Kirsi comes in complaining and asks Cedric to help her unbutton the back of her gown. When the buttons were unfastened, Kirsi's smooth back was exposed in front of Cedric. There's a light red bruise on her shoulder. Cedric thought he was the one who accidentally stained her. So he kissed the bruises with a lighter than butterfly wing kiss. Kirsi soon turned around and met gazes with blue eyes looking at her calmly. Kirsi reached out her hand, tiptoeing to try to close those eyes. She wanted Cedric not to peek. But now she couldn't take her dress off at all. This is all wrong.
"Can you close your eyes?"
"I can. "
Kirsi lowered her hand hesitantly. His clear blue eyes immediately greeted her. Kirsi slapped Cedric's cheek with anger "Aren't you going to close your eyes?"
Cedric innocently said, "You asked if I could, and I could."
Kirsi threw the towel once more in Cedric's face. This time when Cedric removed the thing from his face, Kirsi was already in the bathtub. Only the slender shoulders are visible. Soak in soapy water. "Is it fun watching people bathe?" her face was very flat as she asked.
Cedric folded his arms across his chest, scanned Kirsi a few times, and replied, "Are you embarrassed?"
"I'm afraid the one who will be embarrassed was you," Kirsi replied dryly.
"Let's see who gets embarrassed first." Cedric continued to watch Kirsi without the slightest intention to take his eyes off. He didn't have a lecherous or mean expression, just silently watching like an obedient child. Looks like a monk who has no worldly desires at all. But inside, who knows what he's thinking?
Cedric made small talk, "How was your meeting today?"
"You are almighty, find out for yourself."
Cedric laughed.
While bathing, Kirsi rubbed her body. She was so embarrassed that her ears were beet red. But on the surface, she looked very calm, like a recluse who had given up sophisticated desires. As she was about to reach for the jar of shampoo, Cedric pushed it out of her reach. Said, "Answer me. "
"Fine, I guess." After Kirsi answered, Cedric, put the shampoo jar back in its place. Kirsi instantly grabbed it and poked some of its contents. When she was washing her hair, foam water kept dripping down her face so she had to close her eyes to avoid stinging. She didn't know what kind of expression Cedric had now.
"And what are your forthcoming plans with Eugene Goldstein?"
"Didn't we agree not to interfere with each other's business?"
"Don't get me wrong. I'm not questioning you as a husband, I'm questioning you as a crown prince."
"And does the crown prince have a hobby of questioning naked people?"
"This will be my new hobby."
"Then try asking Eugene Goldstein when he's in the shower."
Cedric grimaced in disgust. Not responding. When Kirsi finished rinsing her hair and opened her eyes, Cedric's bent face was right in front of hers. Kirsi without warning splashed her bath water in Cedric's eyes, causing the man to close his eyes reflexively and move backwards. Kirsi made good use of the moment, moving out of the bath and hastily running towards the door. Misfortune struck when she lost quickly to Cedric's hand. The man grabbed her by the shoulder with one hand and pulled her waist with the other.
"You bastards! "
"You don't need to tell me, I am aware of it."
Kirsi wants to bite him but he reeks of the fish pond. "What do you want?"
"Watch me take a shower. Aren't you interested?"
"How many coins do I have to pay to watch you?"
Cedric pinches her shoulder, "Give me a copper coin. I'll give you a sexy dance as a bonus."
"I'm too poor for that."
"And isn't your waist too small?" Still, with his eyes closed, Cedric tightened his arms around Kirsi's small waist.
"You just haven't gotten used to it yet."
Cedric kisses his bitemark on her ear, "You're right. I do hold it very rarely. Let me hold it as often as I can in the future."
Kirsi barely managed to hide the trembling in her voice, "Fine. Do that in the future. Now let go of me. I'm cold."
"Answer me first."
"I will indeed discuss this with you. Let me get dressed first, and we will discuss it solemnly."
"Fine." Cedric let her go.
