Lycaon P.o.v
He and Briar had put on their disguises and traveled to the city, Briar was obviously quite overwhelmed. It was probably a little too much to take in,with the new structures,the neon lights, the clothes and all the older people since back in her time,people didn't normally didn't live too long. Women were also wearing less formal clothing,a lot of them didn't have husbands,they had some clothing on that looked really odd to her like ripped jeans,t-shirts,and sandals, there were some school girls, some people had mow-hawks,shaved heads and tattoos. It was all pretty confusing for her.
Anyway,they searched the some of the buildings until they saw one labeled:Pawn shop
"Let's try that" She suggested.He agreed,it was a pretty likely place it would be.So they went into the shop and saw the unicorn horn on the front desk. Briar left some gold (which although out dated was still worth a lot) at the counter.
"Well that was easy" he said. Briar glared at him.
"Lycaon,don't say that your going to jinx us!"She protested.
"Well,already said it so...." He responded mischievously. She punched him in the side of the arm angrily.
"Ow!"He shouted. "Don't do that!It hurts!"
"Well I already did it so..."She said,mimicking him. He huffed.
"Oh har har"He said sarcastically. Then he heard someone sneaking up on them,he warned Briar about it. They were probably trying to mug them or something. They both turned around,two big men were behind them with knives.
"That's ours kid"One of them said. So they were the store owners?
"I'm sorry but it was never yours,it belonged to the unicorn you wrongly slayed,now your cursed"Briar retorted.
"Yeah right kid" The other one scoffed.
"I'm no kid. I may not look it,but I'm eons older then you little man"She taunted.
"Why you little-" He started but they cut them off by shedding their disguises, and revealing their real clothes underneath. Briar touched the wall of the alley and it pretty much turned most of it into vines that wrapped itself around them. They were clearly terrified now.They hadn't known the forces they had been toying with.Or the wrath of the queen of the northern woods and the king of the western forests.
He turned into his wolf form and growled. He stalked up too them and Briar nodded.So,he bit them. In 3 days time,they would become part of his pack,and fully under his command. He would make them omegas and do all the dirty work.That was going to be lots of fun.Torturing these two horrible men who had killed such a good creature,they had no regard for life and would pay the price.
"You will not tell anyone about this because of you do,you won't get off the hook so easily" He hissed into their ears as Briar dropped them on the ground. They ran away like pups getting spooked by a bear hibernating in it's cave. He laughed a little bit. That was fun.
"Let's go,before someone sees us"Briar suggested. He nodded and let her ride on his back all the way back to the forest. After that,Briar held a funeral for the unicorn,who's name had actually been Rose.
He silently hoped no other harm would come to the four forests,he hoped this was it.
