Asmodeus watched Hell fall with a gleeful smile. His chance was finally here. The chance to rule a better version of Hell.
He watched from the shadows as Samael disappeared in a poof of fire. This was his chance.
He used ice to build a majestic staircase that led straight into the middle of the lava-covered floor of Hell.
Unfortunately, Asmodeus didn't have wings like Samael. But he would have them soon, just like he'll have Samael's crown on his head.
He crossed the bridge like a king, with his head held high. The bridge ended on a small, round piece of ice.
Luckily, it withstood the lava's hot temperature. He marvelled at the sight for a minute. An entire kingdom was gone in the blink of an eye.
It was all Samael's fault for never listening to his council. We had advised him so many times to not take the angels for granted, but he had been overconfident.
Hell has been suffering because of Samael's mistakes for too long. There was a new demon master now and no demons would pay for Samael's mistakes.
A shower of ice burst from his hands, covering the lava in a thin layer of ice. He kept it up until the entire lava was frozen from the inside out.
Then, lifting his boot-covered feet, he smashed the ice using his full weight. A large crack spread from under his feet, covering the entire surface.
The ice didn't break, but the cracks were majestic. Asmodeus lifted his hands in the air and let the cracked, frozen lava drift up into the air.
He knew none of these spells would work on the castle, so he wasn't too worried when he let the ice splinter into a trillion, tiny pieces. It shot from the sky like snowfall.
One of the many snowfalls to come, that Hell would receive under Asmodeus's rule.
