Journee didn't want anyone to see her red eyes and sad face. But David was in front of her. She saw his expression and realized that he was shocked to see her crying. For him, she was the strict officer who helped him and never showed any emotions except anger but now she was crying.
She tried to walk away from him, but he grabbed her and pulled her closer to himself. Journee was shocked to her core. She knew David liked her but that was just the emotion he felt because she saved his life. She told him hundreds of times to get rid of his feelings, but he would end up asking her out on a date.
No matter how many times, she rejected him it didn't have any effect on him. He was too much in love with her. But never in all those years, had he ever tried to get close to her or touch her and now he just grabbed her. He touched her face and wiped her tears too.
