Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

After discovering her odd kink, Vitto resolved in her heart never to let Leo or anyone else for that matter know of it. Not only would she be completely mortified if it got out, it also meant that the man in front of her would have something to bully her with.

Something Vitto would not allow.

"I think the name Leonardo Moretti sounds sexy." She retorted in a fierce tone, having no sense of tension whatsoever.

Leo painfully closed his eyes and turned around, at that moment in time, he didn't know what to do with her, nor did he have an idea on how to shake her off his case.

It was only then that his phone vibrated once more, his second reminder for the dinner with Lucia.

"Shit, I almost forgot about her." He whispered underneath his breath, his wide angry eyes slowly narrowed as he pursued his lips deep in thought over how he would tackle the issue.

'I can't possibly leave this woman home alone by herself, I'll have to call Lucia and cancel.' he figured, certain that going out on a date while a gangster was tied to his chair wasn't the ideal move to make.

Yet, a small part of him still contemplated the idea, and wanted to somehow not disappoint Lucia.

"Hey! Leo! Leeeeeo!" The devil behind him called out, jerking around in his black dining chair to catch his attention.

"What do you want?" He responded looking over his shoulder, only to notice the knot he had tied underneath her armpit was loosened. And on Vitto's face, was a mischievous grin which spelt that she was the culprit behind it.

Without the knot, the shirt fell from her shoulder length which exposed a good portion of her right breast, and hung loosely on her nipple area, ready to fall off at any second.

"Are you hungry?" She teased in a fake seductive tone, toying with him to pass the time.

Unfortunately, the response she got from him was quite different from what she had hoped for. Judging from his reserved character, it would take a miracle for a man so prideful to openly stare at a woman's body. But Leo on the other hand couldn't help but glue his vision to her exposed right breast, like it was some artwork on display.

Though she wasn't completely wrong.

On display, was the ring shaped coloured tattoo of a dream catcher on her right breast. It's net of strings were woven across from each other to appear like a half Moon. Dangling underneath it, were five long blue and white peacock feathers attached to the beaded base of the centerpiece.

Leo had only glanced at the tattoo before and he didn't look at it for more than three seconds to ascertain what it was. But now, with it in full display, he couldn't help but stare at the eye-catching drawing.

"You're a real piece of work Leo, first you kiss me, then you cuff me and slit the sleeve of my shirt. And now, you're oggling over my body like a pervert whose only ever seen women in magazines. Do you like this sort of foreplay?" The uneasiness in her voice wouldn't have been hard for Leo to pick out, but he was far too flustered himself to have noticed.

He dry coughed then quickly averted his gaze to her lower body, only to realise that his shirt had ridden up, due to all her jerking around.

"Shameless." He replied in a frigid tone, "you're the only woman I know who enjoys this sort of handling." Leo went on to say, hoping to get one over her.

"That means I'm special to you, you like it when I humour you, don't you?" Her lips were drawn so back into a smile her front teeth were showing.

Leo's jaw clenched too tightly whilst ears reddened like a tomato when he heard her shamelessly address him.

"If it makes you feel any better, you're the first man whose had the guts to do this to me. I can't help but wait to see what sort of thing you make me do next." She announced, focusing her stare in-between his legs.

Leo who followed her stare felt his heart skip a beat the moment he realised what she was trying to look at.

He made a hiss sound and pulled himself a chair to sit on, then crossed one leg pensively over the other.

"How long are you planning to act coy with me?" He asked, trying to be frank with a woman who had no intention of talking.

"How much longer are you going to let the sausage cook for?" She retorted, using her eyes to draw his attention towards the kitchen where some smoke had started coming from.

Leo at first didn't register what she said, it was when the scent of burning sausages filled his nostrils that the young surgeon forgot that he had placed something on the fire.

"The fire alarm didn't go off!" He cursed as he dashed towards the kitchen to tackle the problem.

While he was gone, Vitto immediately used her tongue to pick up the fallen part of his shirt, then used her teeth to pull it up and toss it on her shoulder.

'What a hassle, this idle talk isn't getting us anywhere, maybe if I breakout of these cuffs...' she though to herself, contemplating the idea.

No matter how much she enjoyed taunting Leo, her priorities were numbered and taking out Don Renato and Ciro where her biggest concern.

All she needed at the moment, was a reason for Leo to let her go, or at the very least leave her alone at home.

'At this point, I might have to escape and lock him up in his bedroom.' Though she meant nothing erotic from the thought, Vitto couldn't stop herself from smiling at the image of a tied up Leo, waiting for her.

*Beep*

His phone, which was left on the chair he sat on just received a new notification. Vitto jerked her body forward, pushing the chair closer, allowing her to read the message.

Lucia: "I might run late for our reservation tonight Sir, some last minute work just popped up."

Lucia: "I heard you were feeling sick today and couldn't come in to work. If you need me to bring you anything, feel free to tell me."

Vitto felt her blood boil at the sight of the message from this mysterious coworker, who was clearly crossing the line between colleagues.

"How about you bring some class while you're at it?" She sneered at the text, and rolled her tired eyes.

'Though I don't like the idea of Leo meeting up with this woman, it might just be the only way to get him out of the house.' she concluded in a spiteful manner, pressing her eyelids shut and biting furiously on her lower lip.

Fifteen minutes after she read the woman's text, Leo returned to the dining room, holding two plates of burnt sausages and cold eggs.

"Tch, we can't eat this." He furiously scratched the back of his head, and started to think up an alternative breakfast.

The man hadn't even realised when he brought out two plates for the both of them, and used the term 'We' without any difficulty.

"I'll just order us something." Leo figured, instinctively shoving his right hand into his pants to pull out his phone.

He made an 'O' shape with his lips when he realised that he left it on the chair he sat on. His gaze darted across the room, only to lock on Vitto staring animatedly at his phone screen.

"Who the hell said you could look into my phone?" He made a clean swipe at it and stared at the screen.

Vitto clenched her fingers into a tight fist and forced a cocky smile upon her face.

"Oh-ho!" She remarked in an unnatural tone, "I didn't know you had a social life outside of your work." She teased, hoping to rile him up.

Leo, who expected such a sultry comment from her chose to ignore what she said and focus on telling Lucia he was cancelling.

"But, looks like you'll have to disappoint her, after all, you're going to be spending the night in my company." Vitto announced in a teasing tone, adding salt to his wounds.

Leo's fingers suspended on the screen the moment she said those words to him. His huge ego suddenly couldn't accept that he had to cancel his plans because of someone else.

Little did he know that he was playing into Vitto's hands.

"And what makes you so sure of that?" He retorted in a calm manner, a reckless grin spread across his face.

"Isn't it obvious? You can't leave me here alone, and you won't let me leave without making a stupid promise. You and I are going to be stuck like this for a while." Though her lips were taunting him, her eyes were begging him to stay.

Leo stared at the two plates he had so naturally picked and the wound on her right shoulder he had dressed out of concern. And realised that the woman had a point, and he had been too absorbed in her pace to think for himself.

"You give yourself too much credit, when did I ever say I was going to cancel dinner with Lucia?" He took a pause and typed a reply to her.

"See this?" Leo flashed in Vitto's face the positive response he sent Lucia confirming that their reservation wouldn't be affected if he showed up on time.

"I have roughly six hours before my date, so make your decision wisely Vitto." And with that, he walked away from her and headed towards his room to get himself ready.
