Chapter 38 - Chapter X : Gor'Lhemakgney Part 2

While talking with Zero and MT, I was interrupted by a man entering the shop. He is tall, thin, and extremely pale. What strikes me the most is that he is covered in cuts. His arms, legs, head, his whole body seems to have been scratched until it bled. The man is not very pleasant to look at, but he is still a customer and every customer must be attended to.

Approaching him, I welcome him and he suddenly looks at me with his head tilted to the side, muttering in incoherent syllables. He doesn't seem well in the head, I think as I see him react like that. After a few seconds, the individual gets on all fours and starts praying. It's a bit uncomfortable, so I ask him to stand up and he tells me he must have a head injury…

I ask the System if the man is really a customer since he clearly doesn't seem well, and it advises me to give him a Red Heart Potion. Surprised by this advice, I comply and hand the potion to the man, while explaining its effects. He still looks at me with an expression filled with fear and madness, he uncaps the potion and drinks it.

Almost immediately, his body heals and the cuts disappear. His gaze takes on a new shade and reason returns. I was probably right, I think as I watch him get better. I ask Zero to bring him a chair and tell him to sit down while the potion finishes taking effect. He complies without hesitation.

Introducing myself again, he responded this time:

"Enchanted my Lord, my name is Gor'Lhemakgney, a simple Cultist. I am infinitely grateful to you for saving me. If you want anything, just tell me and I'll do my best to get it for you."

Seeing him kneel down, I tell him that he doesn't need to do anything and to rather take a look at the items in the store. I point out the potions and describe their effects to him. Having already experienced the effect of one of them, he doesn't question their truthfulness and even seems excited.

He tells me he would like to buy them all. Incredulous, I come to tell him to follow me to the office, but the voice of the System tells me that a customer can only buy a product once a day, in order to avoid a monopoly. Finding that it makes sense, I explain to Gor'Lhemakgney that he can only buy one copy of each item per day maximum.

Surprised by this rule, he furrows his brow, opens his mouth as if to protest, but then looks around the rest of the shop and suddenly seems to realize where he is. Still with his mouth open, he collects himself and nods. He takes one item of each and follows me to the office.

I tell him that it comes to a total of 3000 gold pieces. He asks me where I would like to receive the coins. Not having thought of this, I ask the System.

"After calculation, it is true that the host must be able to receive payments in a simple and efficient manner. The host can now receive payments in this box," the System responds in its usual monotone voice.

With his response, a large box appears on the desk next to the book. I instruct the customer to transfer the PO into the box, and once it's done, the number 3000 PO appears in green before the contents of the box disappear.

The man's face changes, likely due to the sequence of events, but he thanks me without hesitation. I hand him a black key, inform him that he just needs to infuse mana to be able to return here, and bid him farewell until next time. He thanks me again, looks filled with obvious joy, and disappears through the archway.
