Chapter 14 - Seven Star Grass

Chen Muxue came back with a sack of sweet potato flour. Fortunately, the production of sweet potatoes was large, so the price of the flour made from them was not expensive.

"Sect Master, what are we doing today?" Ever since Xiaohua first came to the kitchen, she had been a regular customer.

Chen Muxue raised her head and looked at the sky outside. It was not too late yet. She smiled and answered, "We'll eat hot and sour noodles today."

"Hot and sour noodles?" Xiaohua's eyes were sparkling. "Will it be very, very spicy?" As she spoke, she drew a large circle with her arms.

It was only then that Chen Muxue noticed that she was holding a plant. It looked like a vegetable, but it was not a vegetable that Chen Muxue was familiar with.

Seeing her staring at the plant in her hand, Xiaohua handed it to her with both hands. "These are the wild vegetables I found today."

Chen Muxue took the plant and felt that it seemed to contain spiritual power. She simply pinched a little leaf and put it in her mouth.

A slightly sweet taste filled her mouth, and the spirit energy within it flowed into her body, making her feel refreshed.

After waiting for a while and confirming the plant was fine to eat, Chen Muxue decided to put it into the basket as if it was a vegetable.

"Is it good?" Xiaohua tilted her head, drooling.

"You'll know after dinner. Here, take it and wash it."

On the roof, Cen Li watched as Xiaohua plucked the leaves of the high-grade seven star grass and washed it leaf by leaf. He felt a sharp pain in his heart.

Was this a wild vegetable? This was clearly a wonderful material for refining spirit medicine, a high-grade one! What kind of person could pick the seven star grass and call it a wild vegetable? It was even a high-grade one!

How many people had tried so hard to find one, and they had eaten it like it was a dish?

It was simply a reckless waste of God's gift!

Could the so-called hot and sour noodles be worthy of this high-grade seven star grass? It was the biggest joke in the world! What hot and sour noodles? I've never heard of it. How can it be delicious when it's both sour and spicy?

However, no matter how much Cen Li shouted in his heart, Chen Muxue could not hear her.

She took out a large jar and poured a sack of sweet potato flour into it. She also added some water and salt.

"Sect Master, I'm done."

Chen Muxue could not help but rub Xiaohua's head when she met her bright eyes. "Good girl. Let's wait for a while. We can only get it done tonight."

She covered the vegetables that Xiaohua had washed with a basket and took Xiaohua to take a nap.

All of a sudden, a burst of spirit Qi burst out from somewhere else in the Heavenly Cauldron Sect. Although it was only for a moment, even Xiaohua felt a little strange.

Chen Muxue's expression suddenly changed. She was the only cultivator in the Heavenly Cauldron Sect. Had someone from another sect barged in?

However, there was still a year before the Sky Cloud Sect would attack in the original novel!

Chen Muxue pushed Xiaohua back into the kitchen. "You wait for me here. I'll go check out the situation."

"Will the sect master be in danger? I'm scared." Xiaohua leaned against the door with tears welling up in her eyes, but she didn't cry.

"Don't be scared. I'll be back in a bit," Chen Muxue consoled. She closed the last gap in the door, turned around, and ran toward the place where the spiritual power was fluctuating.

Cen Li was thinking about whether he should grab Xiaohua and ask her where she picked the vegetables. In the end, he felt that this was not appropriate for his identity. He looked in Chen Muxue's direction and was quite uneasy, so he quietly followed.

When she was almost there, Chen Muxue held the wok up and cautiously moved toward the other side of the wall.

"How did this happen?!"

Dagui's cry of surprise was heard, and Chen Muxue's heart tightened.

"Xiaohu! Xiaohu!"

Hearing Dafu shouting, Chen Muxue jumped out, brandishing the wok in her hand. "Who's there?"
