"Bang"
A strong sound of wood crushing into stone could be heard followed by muffled whimpers and i who was watching all this was practically in a puddle of my own cold sweat.
In my sight i could see the fight of a single, huge humanoid creature duking it out with a group of bull-headed creatures.
I have yet to decide whether it is good or bad but i have full knowledge of what type of monsters these thing are.
The single creature is a cyclops, a human look alike with the only differences being the size which is many time bigger than a human and a single eye that is right at the middle of it's head.
Normally it's height would only be about 6-7 meters but this dungeon is nothing but normal so the height in this case should be anything from 9 to even 10 meters. it's usual human colour was changed with brown, same coloured scales were growing out on it's joints and other weak areas giving it what would look like natural armor coupled with it's eye which was more like a lizard than a human made it quite ferocious looking. As if all this wasn't enought it also had what i could only describe as a trunk of a small tree being used as a club to smash things!
On the other hand we have the minotaur group, normaly being at about 1.5 times the height of humans and with a head of a bull these thing can be really make your heart tremble especialy in this case since they are about 5 meters in height, black scales covering almost all of their body like armor with the only exception being the head and being armed with stone spears, axes, hammers and even great swords.
This wouldn't be a scary fact if i didn't know that it is imposible for a monster to get drops from killing it's own kind, meaning that in all likelihood they made it themselfs!
Staring blankly could only curse those horny bastards for making my life so much more difficult before i took another sip of my vegie soup.
Yes, this whole thing took place a bit after i finished my first bowl of soup and was caused by me making a fire which in hindsight was probably a bad idea but i really wanted that soup!
Shaking my head to clear all distracting thoughts, i tried my hardest to find even a slighly positive side to all this chaos so as to not start using my rather large repertoire of 'after game all chat' quotes to the person who was dumb enough to make this dungeon and after a while i actualy found something.
While these things are physically strong they lack magic, meaning that at least in this floor most of the enemies will have to get close to me before attacking.
I have the ideal conditions to train my martial arts, especialy with the minotaurs using weapons since not only can you improve your weapon skill level by using said weapon but also by defending against said weapon and since i have every possible weapon skill i would be leveling up at a rapid speed.
Still there is a questions that needs to be answered before i proceed with my training, how intelligent are monsters these?
The only things that i currently is the minotars are smart enough to craft weapons out of stone and plants, they are also able to work as a team something that is unique to this dungeon since minotars usualy are a solo monster.
There is also the question of the remaining type of monsters on this floor, i don't know if there is some kind of ranged or flying enemy in this floor i have yet to meet.
I furrowed my brows in frustration, i have too little intel, if i were to proceed with such little intel in such a difficult dungeon i would be courting death.
Taking the last sip of soup i stoud up and began using magic, to be more specific i was using dark magic.
No i am not getting ready to attack but trying to figure out a way to boost my ability to sneak around to gather intel.
The only skill i currently have that is helpfull in this situation is 'hide' which is way too low level to help me but if i were to figure out someway to boost it's prowess using dark magic which is notorious for it's ability to hide it's user then i might be able to come out safely.
This might take a bit of time since i would need to create a new spel- just when that though was taking place in my mind the skill 'genius' took effect and gave me what i was looking for.

[Comment: Do not underestimate anything.]
Good news are that i got 2 new types of basic elemental magic from the 2 drakes that i killed, bad news are that they are completely useless for my current situation since they would need a huge amount of time and effort to make use of these spells.
The only 3 skills that had a somewhat significant change were 'mana manipulation', 'martial arts' and 'weak faster thinking', mana manipulation was actualy on the verge of evolving which is super cool since it would be the first spell that i leveled up to tier 10 level 10.
The increase in martial arts was probably because i was running for half a day while dodging attacks, same goes for the faster thinking skill.
Now with my new spell and 'hide' i should be able to do some reconnaissance without being forced to use magic.
After i casted the spell black mana began to surround my body, i walked around a bit to see if there was any difference. It took me a while but i managed to figure it out eventually.
All sound that my body was making were being suppressed by the mana, it was not only that, it was like the environment around me was covering me like a very thin blanket.
I also noticed the difference between this spell and the 'hide' skill, hide gave you proficiency in way to walk so as to reduce sound, where to move so as to attract as little attention as posible and how to cover your tracks, while the spell simply made you blend in the background better.
These 2 skill work perfectly in tandem, complementing each other to perfection.
I went ahead and began to gather info all the while cursing myself for not figuring something like this out sooner.
All went well for almost 10 whole minutes before i heard the sound you never want to hear when you are incognito.
"Growl!"
A giant wolf the size of a normal human in height and double that in width was growling in my direction, it was pure black in colour with yellow eyes like a lizards, it's head was armed with teeth sharp enough that could probably chop me up without much resistance not that i would like to try.
Originaly i was angry at myself because i failed to notice such a huge creature before it got near me but my anger was soon replace with shock, that thing was using weaken presence and if i was not mistaken it was way higher level than me, no not just level, this thing might be a couple evolutions ahead of me!
Just when i began to walk back slowly it stopped making noise and locked it's head to my location.
Not even a second later my 'danger sense' kicked in and i was forced to roll so as to dodge whatever was coming to me.
Quickly turning around i noticed another wolf but his one didn't have weaken presence and had a purple horn sticking out of it's head.
I looked at the spot from where i just rolled from and there was a thin but deep hole, had it been any other person they wouldn't have realised what had caused that hole but i had personally cause this phenomenon way too many times.
That thing can cast elemental spear!
Although this whole process took less than a second before i could even realise it, i was surrounded by over 10 wolfs.
"...Oh shit..."
