If Rogue was happy, Merton wouldn't know since he didn't alter his typical expression.
"When?"
"Ten minutes ago," Merton was happy, he wanted Rogue happy and Roman to free them from the misery of an institute.
"How do you know?" Rogue asked carefully, phone and communicating devices weren't authorized.
A neon-colored pen unexpectedly emerges from Merton's hand. He had a silly grin on his face as he wanted a pat on his back for a job well done. "This is an undetectable communicating device, a recent creation. It's more of a pen because it writes rather than saying actual words." He pivoted the pen, showing Rogue every aspect of it.
"And?"
"It's connected to Marius. I made two, and anything you say when it's showing the blue light automatically will be transmitted to the other pen."
"Where's Roman now?" Rogue asked.
He was too calm, too frighteningly calm for Merton's admiration. "Heading towards Quinn's mansion I think."
