I find myself running in circles right after my dream, outstretching my mind to its limits. My body crumbled thanks to that same dream I had- The entity covered in the black mist had destroyed me yet again, and as soon as I try to attack I was decimated. I swang all around the place with the cyan sword that shined hollowly this time. The sword felt heavier and less swingable in my arms, and the entity was stronger this time his strength seemed to be able to even uplift mountains.
"How was I supposed to compete with that?!" I sighed and started walking faster on the cold carpet surrounding the ground right near my double white-colored bed, I wanted to try again seeing the squishy blue pillows. My hands were shaking and I wanted another try, As if a rat stuck into a corner I was desperate for victory.
My blood was pumping adrenaline was becoming the only energy in my system "I wanna swing a sword..."
Just saying those words alone was weird, I never liked exercising or swordplay. But for once In my life, I wanted to fight. Swinging my arms outside of the room I scouted for Sage because he might know where the training ground is since he started a huge conversation about the facilities yesterday. So he probably knows where everything is... At least that's what I want to believe.
"Sage," I said as I entered the living room, after scouting the room for a little bit nobody was there. "Sage, Hazel?" I asked again with no response, did they perhaps go out? Wonder how long was I overthinking things in my room.
My belly gurgled like a beast.
"I should probably head to the cafeteria as well, wonder what food there is," I said as I opened the door. Not forgetting to grab my phone and keycard.
On my way, I thought why there was a 3 people room system because I didn't want any roommates or stuff like that but I just accepted it regardless. Slithering my arm in my hair and seeing how it has already started growing again made my arms itch because it was a fresh cut I expected to stay in shape for at least a week but it seems like that isn't the case.
Looking at my haircut thanks to my phone lenses made me forget what I was supposed to do after I ate seemingly my body was trying to give up, but I was in an adrenaline rush making me unable to stop before I hold a sword and swing it to my heart's content just like in my dreams.
"Today gonna be awesome!" I glared at the sky with a corpse voice.
At first, I didn't think I would enjoy this a little bit but this was getting intriguing and whatever happens, I was ready. I felt like a hero in a novel obsessed with fighting which was the opposite of what I was. I couldn't say I was a normal guy either- My personality was abnormal and I had my share fair of-
I rather not even think about it...
...
I applied some saliva over my lips because of how dry they were, almost as If the sun was creating a desert- Not any temperature I was used to. I was in a pose from one of those tv shows where they have to go through the desert for treasure and then they keep complaining about how hot it is when their back are down 90 degrees.
I was those guys right now.
The garden was heaven in the night but not when it was the day. The sun was corroding my eyes dark as the shadow in my dreams even though I slept fairly well my condition of dark eyes was impossible to fix. I had so many people in middle school ask me if I had gotten punched. It was a pain but I hope one day it doesn't go so bad that I need surgery.
Aside from my ramble, I was still fixated on that gym, swinging my arms around ready to rumble.
The sliding door opened as a breeze of cold hair brushed through my sweaty hair, and the lobby was full of people breathing heavily so it was fair to say I wasn't to only one who found it too hot. I greased my way through the horde just to see the cafeteria had that little standup saying it was a closed sign. With that oily smell, I was sure they were in the process of making food so I was fixated on finding the arena or whatever it's called.
I squished outside bumping into multiple people in the process, as I buttered outside a sense of relief came as I saw the signs that you would normally find in a road.
/ Gym ---)
(----- Pool /
There was also a pool other than my current location, with the pathways splitting it seemed like a good idea to put signs because a building this big was a good location for a maze-like game. Without worry, I patted my newly worn blue uniform which was unexpectedly flexible for how thick the shirt was. I ran upwards with the red arrows showing me the way.
"Wow... That huge"
Thanks to the glass doors I could see a sneak peek of an arena made of polished rocks in a square shape, and racks of weapons like guns, swords, bows, and spears. About 4 of the weapon racks were scattered around the attacking dummies you would find in a martial arts gym. Right into the corner was a fair share of ropes and a bell on top of each one.
"Noice" I whispered as I entered the gym, where one of the bodyguard people stood checking out a wooden sword with a few scratches on the sides.
Noticing me his curious look turned into a glare "First one today huh?"
"Yes..." Not that I understood what he said, but mom always said saying yes when you don't get something works.
"Get a sword were sparring" The man revealed his sharp teeth while he refused to make me get a sword and threw me the one in his hand.
"Huh?"
Without warning, he rushed right into my face starting the 'Spar'
