Mustafa was casually walking around the city with no purpose in his mind. He was feeling very restless lately and with no work coming in for the last two days, he was feeling bored just sitting at home. His friend Ali was also out of town due to some business which he could not remember. It was something about the shortage of rice in a nearby city, due to the bandits plundering the granaries or something like that, he was pretty sleepy that day so he wasn't paying much attention to what he was saying.
As he was wandering around he saw a teepee which was selling pieces of jewellery, ornaments and some things from here and there. But what caught his attention was the dagger which was glinting under the sunlight, giving a very unique glow under the sunlight. As he went near the teepee, he felt as if something or someone was calling him, urging him to go inside the teepee. As he went inside the teepee, he saw an old man sitting near the entrance of the teepee.
" Hello Sir, can I help you in finding something?" asked the old man politely, his eyes shining with hope and full of worldly wisdom.
Not one to mince his words, Mustafa asked the old man "Why are you doing so much work at such an old age, old man? Let your children do the work. This is the age where you should just sit back and relax."
"Hahaha, young man, I may seem to be old, but there is still strength in my bones. As for children, I don't have any, never married someone. Since childhood saw my parents doing this business, moving from place to place, and I loved it. I couldn't just settle down somewhere, so here I am, still selling things, still on the move. Tomorrow I may not be here young man, so buy if you like something out of these things. You can get everything here." the old man said as he again sat at the entrance, letting Mustafa have a look at everything inside the teepee.
Everything was arranged on temporary shelves which were attached to the cloth of the teepee, from knives to swords to hairpins to vases, all sorts of oddities could be seen on the shelves. He looked at the dagger that he saw from outside and picked it up.
"I want this, old man"
"Hmm...." the old man observed the dagger, flipping it across his hands.
"Excellent choice, young man. I can see that you have a keen eye for unique things. This would be 20 gold coins, anything else you would like to buy from here. Something which caught your eye?"
Mustafa looked around the caravan, but nothing else caught his eye. Just as he was about to pay for the dagger, he saw a pair of dice lying beside the water pouch on the shelf.
" What are these dice for, old man?"
"Who knows, must have got picked up along with something. You can take these dice along with the dagger for free. Consider it a gift of mine."
"You are pretty generous today, old man," said Mustafa as he flipped the dice over his hand. Finding nothing wrong with it, and not wanting to deny the old man's gift, he took the dice along with the dagger and left the teepee.
"Hmm... I should just sit back and relax a bit as said by that young man." the old man pondered as he sat at the entrance.
