Eve's POV.
I woke up for the second time that morning more drained than I could have ever imagine. Bothe physically and mentally.
I never knew that Zach was such a caring lover. Our first time when we met all those years ago was just a hazy mess of drunken love making that was neither good nor bad it was just... sex.
I smiled as I thought about last night and then again, this morning in the shower.
Looking around the room which should have been a complete mess from last night was actually fairly neat and orderly.
'He must have tidied up a bit before he left.' I thought.
He never ceases to amaze me. I got up and noticed that I was only wearing one of his shirts along with a pair of panties.
'When did he put this on me. That little pervert.' I thought as I finished getting ready fairly quickly and then exited my room to go to work. I was running a little late and would have to get food on the road.
As I walked down the stairs I was surprised to hear and see that it was quiet in almost to quiet. The rest of the family must have been out this morning. It was actually very peaceful. Heading towards the front door I grabbed my coat which was hanging on the coat rack and made my way to my car where I was surprised to see that Cain wasn't their instead it was his second in command.
"Hello Ezra, it's been a while since I have seen you."
"Good morning, ma'am. Yes, it has been quite a while since I last drove you." He said with a slight bow and then just as smoothly got the door for me.
"Oh, could we please stop and pick up some food on the way to the office as well."
"Of course, ma'am whatever you wish." He said with a smile.
With that out of the way Ezra drove off towards the office, he did make sure to stop and pick up some food for breakfast for me. It was an orange juice and an egg sandwich.
I arrived to work at half past nine which is later than I would like however considering what transpired last night and this morning. I was more than okay with that.
It was time for me to buckle down and get to work.

Zach's POV.
The 'tracker' that I placed on Eve this morning showed that she had just made it to work. The tracker was for her own protection. I didn't want to lose her considering I was stepping into even more dangerous waters.
I looked up from my phone screen that had her location on it and down the barrel of my gun. It was pointed down at another henchman that knew nothing more about his employer James than the last guy.
"Please I don't know anything. Please don't kill me." He pleaded. Unfortunately for him his pleas fell on deaf ears, I didn't give fuck at this point. I just wanted this case to be over with already.
"BANG!"
I shot him dead between the eyes. As I watched the life drain from his face, I had a sneaking suspicion that things were going to be getting a lot worse before they got better.
With that thought in mind I disposed of the man's body and went on to find the next one that had any other information about James.
It seemed like I would have to start going after his family next.
'I heard that he had an older sister. I wonder if she knows anything.' I thought to myself.
