Eve's POV.
For the past few days Zach has been acting very weird, he took me out to a nice dinner and was back to normal for a while. However, after our little date he went back to being distant again.
It was very frustrating. Not only did I have my family trying to get rid of me and scheming things behind my back. But now I had my husband being distant and not trusting me with his problems.
I hated it!
I was still stuck at work just mindlessly doing paperwork, and I still didn't even receive a text back when I said good morning.
I was just about to call some of my bodyguards to go on a manhunt top find him and drag him back to my feet. However, I wanted to believe and trust in my husband. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake trusting him.
"I am sure he has some work going on." I mumbled. Getting back into my mindless paperwork.

A few hours later. End of workday.
My buzzing phone vibrated on my desk as I was getting ready to leave my office and drag Zach back home to talk to me. I was not going to be nice about it either.
I walked over to my desk to pick it up and low and behold it was none other than my dear husband Zach.
"Oh, you remembered to call your wife, finally." I said sarcastically as I picked it up.
"I apologize I had some very important work that needed to be done." He spoke.
"You had work, and you didn't think to just tell me that earlier. Instead, I was over here worried sick about how you've been acting."
"Your right I should have just told you about it. I just didn't want you to get caught up in it. I wanted you safe."
It was very hard to calm my beating heart. I knew that he was only trying to keep me safe. It seemed that my husband's job wasn't the safest, although I already knew that.
"Okay so why have you called now." I said with a tone in my voice. I wanted him to feel that I still didn't forgive him.
"Well, I wanted to see if you were going to be home tonight. If so, I was wondering if you wanted to grab dinner when you get off work." He said with a bit of hesitation in his voice.
It was kind of cute how much he was worried.
"Yes, I would love to grab some dinner with you, my husband. I am finishing things up at work now so I will be out in a few minutes."
"Great I am already waiting outside. Come down when you are ready, I will be waiting for you." He said and then quickly ended the call.
He was already outside of my office building fully expecting me to agree to have dinner with him. Just where does this man get his arrogance from.
Well, whatever the case it warmed my heart that he was waiting for me, so I quickly put my paperwork away, grabbed my coat and then headed out of my office.
