Synopsis
During a time when the Tang dynasty flourished, greed overcame reason as they began to look for methods for eternal life. Through countless experiments resulting in the deaths of thousands, the dynasty finally found the answer, or so they hoped. Chapter 1 - Return of The Advisor

Throughout the past thousand years, Tang Sheng had been secluded in the mountains of Shannan, only leaving his small cave abode to occasionally practice martial arts or to hunt for enjoyment.

Being immortal, Tang Sheng did not need to eat, nor drink to sustain his bodily functions. To keep himself sane, he at times even conversed with the wildlife knowing it was a one-way conversation. He knew this, but he had no other choice, it had been too long since he spoke with another human being, if he could even call himself one.

After the fall of the Tang Dynasty, he felt he had no purpose in life and without the ability to die he wondered if the world wanted him alive. Perhaps, there was a plan for him? Was this torment just his punishment for forsaking the laws of the universe and accepting eternal life?

Either way, it didn't matter to him anymore, seclusion was peaceful, and he didn't mind the quiet life.

Tang Sheng stepped out of his cave, walking with large strides and showing off his almost perfect physique akin to Greek statues carved through the years of endless training. He had long silky black hair tied up and a clean-shaven face showing his skin as clear as marble. The only irregularity was his eyes; pure blood red eyes that felt as if you were looking into an abyss. A side effect the experiment he himself had long forgotten about without a mirror.

As he walked to his regular training grounds, and prepared to demonstrate his regular martial routine, a shocking event occurred. The skies turned purple and dark red, large gates appeared throughout the lands as far as Tang Sheng could see, one gate every 50 or so miles, with black specs jumping out of them. Tang Sheng was flabbergasted, in his over one thousand years of life, he had never seen something as crazy as this! what were those little green children? Are those wooden clubs? Are they looking at me? Why are they running this way?
