You will die, Count! So Cyril said to himself seeing how Algis was silent while clenching his fists and trembling with anger.
Cyril was also angry. How could there be parents like that? Not that all the parents in his memories from his previous life were good. There are also evil parents. Some even sell their children. However, his parents who worked as farmers raised Cyril well.
"I didn't know it was so dangerous!" said Caunt Affonso at last when Ferdinant had finished his story.
"You didn't know it was dangerous?"
Algis laughed. However, it was not an expression that conveyed the pleasure that one would expect. It was simply because Algis didn't know what to do with someone who had done something wrong.
"Best get rid of them to the prisoner who's in the dungeon now. This place has a room like that, right?" asked Cyril to Borneo.
If Algis still saw Count Affonso and his son, something was going to happen and Cyril didn't know whether it was right or wrong.
As Cyril had suggested, Algis asked Fearish to put the father and son into custody. "Get rid of them!" he ordered without turning to the two people.
"I will ask the maid of this residence to prepare tea, Your Highness." Borneo immediately withdrew, apparently not wanting to get involved with Algis' anger, which had yet to find a place to vent.
Cyril also wanted to do the same. However, he had no reason to run away.
"I don't understand, Cyril!"
Cyril was shocked to death at being spoken to so suddenly. He didn't know how to respond. So, Cyril decided to remain silent, as if he were air and transparent.
"They do evil to people who always hide their crimes. I've always suspected why the women of the Freifau residence are in the capital instead of studying as noble ladies. I always ask him if there is anything I can do?"
Cyril knows that Algis loves Adriana. However, love is blind. He realized it now. Algis still doesn't investigate what happened to Adriana until the end.
Cyril tried to remember all the events in the story after he helped Adriana. On the way, Adriana told the knight Cyril that she wanted to be able to learn swords instead of becoming a crown princess. That way, maybe Adriana can find her mother's grave.
But, is it okay to tell Algis that? It will seem very strange. He might be accused of having done something indecent with Adriana. The woman would be forgiven, but what about her.
"It's a good thing he's not here! If you hear the story yourself, Adriana might be very disappointed!" Algis said.
"If one is used to being let down, one might not care about such things anymore, Your Highness!" Cyril said it quietly. Slightly hoping that the man didn't hear, so he would act as if he wasn't there anymore.
Besides, Algis didn't ask for a response from the start. It's possible that people who are in the same age range as Algis want to hear it.
"Are you speaking from experience?" asked Algis suddenly.
Cyril was startled again. He glanced left and right quickly. As if what he did would bring ideas for the next answer. However, what could be seen in the room was only household furniture.
Algis blinked uncomfortably, then stood up. "Don't be so tense. I won't kill you if you don't find the answer." Then the man sighed softly. "What you see in sleep is just a dream. Crown Prince Algis who is in front of you is not acting arbitrarily because of that!"
Algis looked convinced with his words. Even Cyril was also convinced by it.
After all, right now he wasn't in love with Adriana, he wasn't trying to be with her. So the fate of death must have gotten very far away from him. However, Cyril still has to make sure the fate of death doesn't come closer to him.
"I believe in you, Your Highness!" said Cyril taking the safest route.
That way Cyril would be freed soon from the familiar attitude shown to the real cause of his death.
"What am I seeing, Your Majesty, you are trying to suppress Cyril?"
Algis looked through the back of Cyril's head. Meanwhile, Cyril held his breath and his whole body stiffened with shock and awkwardness. He will soon be trapped again in a drama full of love as an extra.
"Pressing it? I'm being friendly with our hero!" Algis laughed.
Cyril doesn't want to be a hero. He just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
***
Adriana knows that besides the love that exists between the two of them, Algis also has an interest in gathering competent people around him. He was the crown prince, that matter absolutely could not be contested.
So, she was very aware of Algis' attitude when he tried to quickly approach Cyril. And how that man ignored the fact that Cyril was under pressure.
Adriana also heard something wise from Cyril's mouth. Apart from muscles, this warrior can also use his brain very well. Then what does it mean by nightmares?
"I just heard something strange? What does he mean by killing you, Master Cyril?" She asked.
Cyril looked even more depressed now. The thing Adriana asked was more sensitive than being romantic in front of the old-fashioned nobles in the palace. So, Adriana thought about sending Cyril back to his room now.
"You can go now, Master Cyril!"
"We haven't finished talking Adriana yet!" Algis didn't seem to agree with that.
However, Cyril's face said that this was what he needed. From the start, Cyril didn't want to be alone with the crown prince.
Cyril bent down and put his right hand on his chest. "I beg your resignation, Your Highness, Princess!" Then he hurried off without even looking back.
Adriana and Algis waited until Cyril came out, closed the living room door, and then started looking at each other. Algis' face suddenly scowls, as a form of protest against Adriana's decision to send Cyril out.
"You should have seen Cyril's face earlier," said Adriana.
"What about his face?" asked Algis did not understand.
Adriana smiled, stroking Algis's cheek a little to calm the man's anger. "He looks like he might die if he doesn't get out of this place. You're pressing too hard. What if he finally decides to run away?" she asked.
From Algis' expression, Adriana could tell that the man in front of her didn't think about that at all. So Adriana laughed at Algis' slightly sweet airheadedness.
"What does he mean by not going to kill Cyril. You threatened the person who saved me?" asked Adriana not understanding. If that's not the case, where did Algis' sentence trying to convince Cyril to come from.
"There was a bit of trouble before I left! He tried to stop me from doing anything to get here. So I got mad at him!" Algis quickly corrected his sentence. "But, that's no reason to kill a knight. Just plain rage. Then I tried to ask him why he did that."
Algis took a deep breath before continuing to speak. "He said, in his dream one day I will order his execution."
Adriana covered her mouth. She knew clearly with dreams like that. It could be that it is a future that is shown to Cyril.
"That's the thing that scares anyone!"
Algis nodded. "But, how could I kill him if there is no reason. He is so full of potential. Swords, magic, and you can see how smart he is!" Once again Algis took a breath. "It must have just been a bad dream!"
Adriana hopes that is also true.
