Cyril was annoyed. First, because he had to go into the cave with Fearish, doubtful, and then trying to get rid of it because the captain wanted to scream. Second, after all her efforts, Adriana hugged Algis instead. Where is the gratitude he should get for his efforts?
"You annoying main character!" cursed Cyril quietly.
He turned away, looking at the knights again. To Ferdinand who was still unconscious. Adriana's father looked worried to see his son's condition. In the end, Cyril's eyes fell back on the couple who didn't know the place.
"Sir Cyril."
It felt like Cyril wanted to hug Borneo, saying many thanks because the old man who was Algis' servant had come and distracted him. "What is it?" asked Cyril putting on a bright face.
Borneo stared like he saw a dangerous black beast. "Master is not in a good mood?" guessed it.
Cyril's bright face disappeared in an instant. What's with that scared expression? Cyril's mind immediately pounded the sentence in his head. However, his gratitude to Borneo did not go away. It was still as big as it was when the old man appeared.
"My mood is not bad. But, you made it bad just now!" Cyril said.
He took a deep breath so that Borneo would know what he had done wrong.
Being the servant of a prince who fell in love must have made Borneo so wary of noticing mood swings. However, for Cyril who is not in love, it is certainly a bit difficult for Borneo to guess what made his mood change.
"My apologies, Mr. Cyril. I don't know what's bothering you." Borneo said while looking down.
Cyril was tempted to annoy Borneo a little more. "Shouldn't you be more careful?" he said.
Borneo was stunned, then widened his eyes in shock. "Forgive me!" He shouted loud enough to attract people's attention including Adriana and Algis who was still standing at the mouth of the mine.
It was Cyril's turn to panic now. He never thought this would happen. He thought Borneo would glare at him fiercely like Fearish.
"Don't shout like that! Gosh… I was just kidding!" cried Cyril.
Borneo was still bowing, but a smile graced his lips.
Cyril felt that he had challenged someone who could not be defeated. He sighed. "Sorry for troubling you, Mr. Borneo," he asked politely.
Borneo straightened up again. "You don't bother me, sir. You've helped so much that I'm not sure how to properly thank you on behalf of my master."
Cyril wanted nothing. After all, the story he read when he lived as Cyril the son of his parents, and had just been fired was very different from the one he faced himself.
"Do you have any special requests, sir?"
It seems that Borneo realized that Cyril was thinking about something. This is the vigilance of a trained servant.
"Nothing for now!" replied Cyril confidently.
Borneo nodded. "Very well, Mr. Cyril. I will remember this and ask you one day."
Great idea. It's possible that when Algis wants to kill him later, Cyril will get time to make his wish: LET ME LIVE! Algis must have agreed, right?
Adriana and Algis approached Cyril now. Their love affair was over. Although Cyril was sure there would be another session upon arrival at the residence. Ferdinand was still the same as before, unconscious.
Cyril stood up quickly, disappearing if necessary so that the three of them would not have to face each other. However, he was just a commoner. His head would immediately float as if doing something that lost a member of the royal family.
"Cyril!" Algis threw himself at him.
Just like Cyril, all the other knights also widened their eyes in disbelief. The royal family's restrained and respectable graceful demeanor didn't seem to belong to Algis at the moment.
"Crown Prince? I'm sorry, but what is this?" asked Cyril in confusion. Algis' attitude and demeanor were different from the previous one.
Cyril's whole body tensed. It felt like death was getting so close to him.
"Why do you look uneasy with my attitude?" Algis pushed Cyril's body, putting some distance between them.
How did Cyril explain that Algis was a crown prince, Cyril's natural enemy, and also the one who in the story would order the death penalty on him? Then, no matter how close he was to Algis, he wanted to escape faster.
"Why don't you answer, Mr. Cyril?"
Cyril blinked, surprised at Adriana's voice. When she turned her head, the girl smiled at Cyril. A smile that soothed and made him feel that whatever happened next didn't matter anymore.
Cyril couldn't help but smile back.
Algis quickly moved possessively, standing in front of Adriana, blocking Cyril's view for a moment.
"What are you doing, Your Majesty?" asked Adriana not understanding.
"I only anticipated Cyril to have no interest in the future empress. It would be terrible if that happened!"
Algis's answer quickly released Adriana's charm from Cyril.
He wanted to bang his head, telling himself that he had almost dug a grave with a tombstone in his name.
The annoying atmosphere with the label of falling in love is felt again. Adriana's crisp laugh which seemed to be teased by Algis made the knights who spent the whole day with swords cough.
Algis turned to Borneo, asking for help to stop this critical sight.
"Your Majesty, we should return to the Freifau residence now!"
Once again Cyril intends to hug Borneo. If you didn't think that two people of the same gender were hugging each other, Cyril would have done it.
The soldiers who hadn't gone into the mines to look for Adriana earlier started moving to find their horses that had escaped due to the mana explosion. Two horses were found immediately, but it took more effort to find the others.
Cyril narrowed his eyes as one of the soldiers who had come with him gave him the reins of the horse. What is this special treat to get another special thing?
The knight who came with him must have thought that he was loved by Algis. They just didn't know what fate awaited Cyril next. It's not a happy thing.
"Thank you," said Cyril. Because the knight who gave him the reins of the horse he found had not moved.
As soon as he received his thanks, the knight blushed. Like Cyril just said he was happy to meet him. It's possible that they won't meet again in the future.
Time is running, faster than before. All the horses have been found and several knights must be on one horse together. Together they went to the house.
Count Affonso, hugged his son who was still unconscious. Algis and Adriana were on one horse and seemed happy with it.
Only Cyril looked the most irritated because they were moving so slowly. Cyril looked back to see how far they had left the mine. The mouth of the mine is no longer visible due to its low position, but the tree where Coun Affonso is standing waiting for his son in the mine is still visible. Then, Cyril vaguely saw the same black shadow, worthy of the mist spreading around the tree.
Damn it! Move faster! Cyril cursed inwardly.
