Raziah's eyes popped wide awake at the sudden invasion. She couldn't believe upon all her self-control, all her pretense, one simple flick of his finger had been enough to whirl her out of her dream. It was like her whole world had gone into a pause, and she couldn't even feel the pounding of her heart anymore.
It took her another second to realize she was biting hard on something, and that deep citrus scent had invaded her lungs completely. Her teeth gnawed softly to feel more of the soft texture of whatever she was holding to, and it felt more or less like skin. As it dawned on her that she might actually be biting some part of him, Raziah steadily released her hold on the skin and pulled away slowly, only to find his eyes on her.
