Chapter 32 - Under attack II

Norab, not needing to be told what he has to do, tried to exit the hall only to be stopped by Dmitry " Where do you think you're going?" glaring at the man in front of him in disbelief, he tilted his head to the side in confusion. " have you forgotten the meeting hasn't been dismissed yet? You want to leave without the permission of the empress?"

Norab desired the man's head was the one scattered on the floor instead of that of the deceased demon as he glared irritatingly at the fellow.

" Meeting dismissed," Bacillia said in a hurry and made to go get prepared herself. Dmitry lowered the weapon he used in barricading Norab and smirked in satisfaction.

Tobias stared at Alrak with a wide grin and nodded his head slowly, of course, he knew this was her doing! And getting her mate to help her? He chuckled lightly, that sneaky bitch has something up her sleeves, it was really obvious! From the looks of it, it seems Yaqs was also aware, he had been silently watching them and besides not that what Alrak said was untrue, he also noticed the demon's presence while he was out, how clumsy of Bacillia.

Klaus had also innocently reported to him of the same presence, even though what Alrak told them appeared to be true, he had a hunch that she added lies, big ones just to make it spicy.

He just couldn't wait to get those losers under their control, he had lived for a long now, and his lifelong wish was for dark hydes to finally prevail over those who dubbed themselves, saints, he wasn't the only one. He gave a satisfied glance at Norab.

Yaqs, Tobias never seemed to like that one! Oh, he detested their so-called dark hyde leader! His mother was far much better than that bastard, she just was an unlucky hyde. He shook his head, the hyde was not partaking in their plan, he just couldn't help but wonder if they had chosen wrong, maybe Alrak was the most suitable choice, for him.

The terrifying redolent of mana invaded their nostrils, they felt a cold aura approach the throne room, Bacillia sniffs ' burnt flowers? ' she knew that one quite well, she needed to make a run for that one as soon as possible, but luck wasn't on her side, he was already standing at the entrance with a satisfied grin as he planted his stare directly towards her.

By then the people left in the throne room were Tobias, Alrak, Burton, Cohen, Ekila, Telford, Hans, and Yargus most of the court members already left, Bacillia should have been one of them but luck didn't favor her.

Burton had a stern look like he was ready to kill Xavier with any wrong step he makes. He detested the demon especially after finding out Bacillia was mated to him, he didn't want to believe but he just couldn't get himself not to, he knew Bacillia quite well and he had studied her reaction when she mentioned it, although she acted calm, she wasn't. And now his rival stood at the doorstep grinning at Bacillia, oh that made him weak, he just couldn't take it, one look at him and you would know he was ready to kill.

Cohen and Yargus stared at Burton, of course, they knew what his reaction meant but they, on the other hand, didn't believe a single word Alrak uttered, she wasn't someone to be trusted so easily.

Ekila unleashed her sword from the sheath and filled it with a terrifying amount of mana, ready to attack as she had started to mutter some spells, not like it was compulsory but she did it to aid her more because they weren't just dealing with at ordinary demon here, the aura of the creature alone could send one trembling with fear.

Hans left them to deal with Xavier, while Telford stayed behind to help out, it was quite unusual for a demon Lord to appear just like that, they usually had to deal with their enlistees which proved hard tasks for them sometimes, because most of them were highly ranked. The hydes usually end up losing a lot of soldiers. Alrak trembled at his sight and even failed to hide it, nonetheless she stayed back! She was going to prove her point she thought and smirked devilishly.

" Mate" he beamed and walked towards Bacillia with open arms as if waiting for her to run up to him and bless him with a hug. " I told you I would come back for you,"

" I promised war, and I have fulfilled all my promises my blossom, " he then dropped his hands after realizing she wasn't coming in.

Nobody dared to launch an attack at the being before them, Ekila lowered her weapon on the spot and arched her brows. ' Alrak speaks nothing but the truth? Our Empress is a traitor? '

Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead, what was she going to do now? How will she get out of this mess? She was sure they hated her now! How will she deal with this clutter? This was all because of her bad fortune! how was she cursed to be the mate of such a monster? And even after ruling for so many years as a strong forerunner, this situation made her feel weak! She has no idea of what to do anymore, she felt witless at that wink. She just couldn't bring herself to hurt him even though she badly wanted to, her devotees now evade a grudge against her, they all have looks of disappointment, especially Burton.

Although it had been a while since their realm had been invaded, and those who invaded the realm were none other than the elves, which had been decades ago up to 350 years. The elves were easily conquered by the hydes although the reason for their attack is still unbeknownst to them. It was strange for the elves to attack unless Asnah possessed something that belonged to them or something they feel, serves as a threat to their race lingered within their realm. Bacillia had tried to settle the grudge they had against their realm by seeking a truce meeting with their monarch, but even that had proven vain. That only made things worst, they took advantage of the soft spot the hydes managed to provide them and turned wild against them as soon as they got the chance.

Turns out, they'd been conjuring up a weapon that they could use to penetrate the realm's protected impediment, which aided them in the wrangles they oriented, this seemed almost impossible, that barrier had been cast to prevent outsiders from opening portals to their realm without their knowledge.
