Chapter 1 - TAKEN chapter 1

Her Mother wailed as she struggled with their strong grip.

"Adebayo tell them to release my daughter, you can't do this, it's wrong and it's child abuse." Mrs adebayo said and begged her husband continuously.

"Shut up woman! She is useless and besides we have three other children. Loosing one will reduce our expenses and pay off our depths." Faith watched her father as he said those hurtful words. She knew that no matter what her mother said or did he would never change is mind. She thought about her school, friends and siblings.

'does it mean I would never see them again?...' faith thought to herself and felt the hot tears streaming down her cheeks. She no longer fought the hefty men holding onto her. This was the last time she would get to see her family again. She would miss mama and her brothers.

"Faith!!! I'm coming for you don't loose hope, I'll get you back." Miss adebayo said and struggled with her husband as he dragged her up the stairs where their bedroom was located and locked her up. She kept on hitting the door aggressively and screaming. After locking up his wife Mr adebayo strolled down the stairs. He shook the hands of the men and smiled at faith.

"Do you mind if I talk to my daughter one last time?" The men looked at each other and then released faith. She wanted to hug her father and beg him to have mercy on her and forgive her for whatever she had done but she was scared, growing up with her father she knew What type of man he was, so instead she stood still and fondled with her fingers, hiding her teary face from her father but he took her by surprise by crouching to her level and hugging her with all the affection In this world. She couldn't hold back the tears as it fell and wet her cheeks. Her father had forgiving her and he won't allow this scary men to take her away from her family, she thought but her father withdrew from the affectionate hug and took off his favorite necklace. The one she had given him on his birthday. He lifted her hands opened her palms and dropped the necklace in it and closed them, squeezing them affectionately. It was a necklace she had made for him with her mothers old pearls she wasn't using anymore. Two pearls in the middle of a chain and scribbled roughly with two letters on each pearl F&D (father and daughter). she wept uncontrollable and watched as her father struggled with his tears.

"My baby girl faith, I didn't want to do this but it's inevitable, It was bound to happen. You might not understand why I'm doing this now but in the nearest future you would understand that it was just an act of love between a failed father and lovely daughter." He hugged her one last time and stood tall, smiling at her. She wasn't a baby, she understood what her father said... So she smiled back at him and hummed, nodding her head. Mr adebayo watched as they took his daughter into the black van. He wished he could do something but If he did they would Kill his only daughter and he didn't want that.

Faith Sat in the vehicle and watched her father waving at her but she didn't wave back and just wept silently. The vehicle stopped after hours and one of the men beside her looked her in the eyes, grabbed her hands and injecting her with a syringe and squeezed her cheeks with his hands. The needle stung but she couldn't help but sniffle.

"Little girl stop crying or I'll beat you up." The scary hefty man said and opened the car door for her and grasped her hand as they walked. She saw some police men but the man holding her hand was faster than her. He knew what she was thinking. He glared at her and she was instantly scared to her bones. They weren't stopped by the police instead the police followed them. She looked around and saw vast amounts of water. She felt woozy and held unto her head. They climbed a little stair and before them was a massive ship. Faith had never seen a ship in her life, it was exciting to see one but the overwhelming pain she felt was Drowning her into darkness. She felt her self falling further and further into darkness until she was unconscious.

"it's working, she's unconscious."

"Lock her up with the others and tell them we are ready". Those were the last words faith heard before she closed her eyes.
