Waking up and scratching my eyes I looked around my surroundings.
'This place looks so shabby. More like a prison cell. So it was just a dream .'
faith said and wished she hadn't woken up from the too good to be true dream. She dreamt about strange people taken her away from her family and seeing her father cry unfortunately for her it was just a dream and she needed to face reality.
' Mother said she was going to come back for me... Yes, I won't be _' someone entered into the cell. A slender lady. She was beautiful and tall. Mother wasn't tall but beautiful. Mother was mixed but every time we brought up the topic she'd shut us up and leave my siblings and I in the dark about her past. While father was a Nigerian. He was very handsome and lacked not in height. Father was strict and overprotective. I was his favorite child amongst my siblings, he always took me out on my birthdays and never failed to perform his fatherly duties unlike mum. She was quiet and lonesome. She didn't hate her kids but she showed less love and more of discipline.
" How can we distinguish between their age?" said the skim slender woman.
"Ross has a booklet with their details in it." faith stared at them and winced at the sudden pain she felt below her abdomen. She'd have drugs to take cause she was diagnosed with mild ulcer when she was still with her parents and she hadn't eating anything since ever they took her from her parents.
"Hey! Listen up. You will Get to eat very soon but before that there are new rules to follow.
Rule one You will no longer live life the way you used too.
Rule two : You will obey and listen to us.
Rule three : Go to bed before curfew.
If any of you fail to abide by this rule... You will be severely punished." The slender lady said the last word with evident threat.
Faith ate little and cringed at the taste of the food. It was nothing like she ever had in her entire life. At night she slept on the cold floor with no blanket and felt dirty. She noticed that they were more girls and women in this ship. She couldn't sleep because of the cold so she sat and cradled herself.
'Will I ever get to see my parents again or siblings?' She thought to herself and shed the tears she had been holding unto for a while now.
'I need to get out of here. What were they going to do too us?' she thought. Faith stood up and looked around her in the fairly lit room. Majority of the people here were sleeping. She walked towards the door, observing it and looking around her in case someone attacked her. She tried opening it but it was futile. The door was locked tight with keys. It was an iron steel door but had iron bars up and down while the middle was hard steel. She needed to see beyond the door. It was quite enormous and sturdy. She thought too her self and looked side ways trying to look for any security guard nearby but what she didn't know was that there was a guard in the cell with them. He took a keen look at her and chuckled. He couldn't help but notice the evident curves she had. Though faith was sixteen she looked very much older than her age, as though she had already passed through the puberty stage. He stood up from where he sat and approached faith from behind. He ogled at her and salivate from the thought of the things he could do to her there and now. He slowly touched faiths elbows which alerted faith and ended up with her giving him an elbow in the guts and running away from him.
