9: 37 pm at Club 21.
Treasure just finished performing a song which made the audience go wild as usual. She looks like a completely different person whenever she performs on stage at the nightclub.
Tonight, she decided to spice up her performance by having a little dance break. She danced on a pole so well with her backup dancers like a professional but in reality, she has been learning and putting it into practice.
AJ valued Treasure a lot like she was a blessing to his nightclub. She was slowly becoming popular and most clubbers pay a lot of money just to watch Treasure who they all know as Tracy perform. That way, AJ was getting richer, same with Treasure.
Unfortunately for them, she only comes once a month to perform. Some of them wondered who this beautiful popstar was and where she came from but above everything, they all loved her angelic voice.
Presently, Treasure is backstage at the nightclub, talking to Nicki who's her stylist and Kim approached them.
"Nicki, excuse us. I wanna talk to my sister" Kim said.
"Sure," Nicki said and left.
"Kim, you can't address me as your sister. I'm Tracy right now, don't you remember?" Treasure whispered huskily to Kim, looking around if someone was hearing them.
Treasure/Tracy was wearing a red tube top that revealed her flat tummy and she was putting on denim shorts that exposed a bit of her bum. She was wearing the usual red colored wig that made her look more like Tracy. She looked really seductive and gorgeous. No one would've ever thought that this sexy diva is Treasure.
Kim was wearing a black round-neck shirt and camouflage trousers. He looked like a hot and handsome gangster.
"Okay, chill, I got it. Why didn't you tell me you're friends with a cop," Kim said.
"what cop?" Treasure asked.
"That tall, skinny, good-looking guy who came looking for you the other night," He said.
"Oh, Dexter?" Treasure smiled and Kim rolled his eyes at how her facial expression suddenly changed after asking about Dexter. She looked very happy.
"Whatever his name is I don't care! Why are you friends with a cop?" he said
"he's not a cop Kim, he's a detective. He's still working on getting his master's degree" she said.
"That dude works at NYPD man, you know how much I hate anything that has to do with the police," Kim said feeling frustrated.
"Well, that's your problem. Why are you even bothered I'm friends with someone that works with the cops. I thought you had changed from being a criminal.
If only you know how happy I am that you're no longer in that black blade group but don't tell me you're still into what you were doing." Treasure said pointing at him.
Kim shrugged his shoulders in a way that said I don't care and Treasure flashed him a glare.
"What?" he raised his eyebrows.
"Apart from me being a nightclub singer for money, you promised me you were going to stop whatever criminal acts you were doing if I did this" Treasure angrily said.
"Okay, okay, Tee, just calm down. Even if I've stopped what about my past?" Kim said.
"you know I've killed people for money" He whispered to her.
"What if that young detective guy is a spy? What if he's pretending to be your friend so he can spy on me and find out something about me then, BOOM! he calls the entire police officers and arrest me." Kim said in a serious tone and Treasure burst into laughter.
"It's not funny Tee, I'm scared of that guy you know" he shook his head.
"It's good to know that you're scared of him. It'll make you behave like a good citizen" she chuckled.
"...anyways, I'm at the dressing room," she said and left.
"Ugh! Tee!" Kim groaned, watching her back view as she was leaving.
"Where's my lighter? need to smoke" he muttered silently, clutching his pockets to confirm if his lighter was inside his pocket.
Kim lifted his head and he saw a man all dressed in black coming from the opposite direction. He was wearing a black hoodie and black trousers. Kim thought it was one of the security guards but this man was also putting on a black cap and a black nose mask that made his face impossible to recognize.
Kim couldn't help but find him very suspicious. He watched where the guy was headed and he saw that the man was walking toward the dressing room that Treasure had just entered.
"Hey! Hey!! you!!" Kim yelled at the man to halt his steps but the man was still walking towards the dressing room like he wasn't the one Kim was talking to.
Kim quickly rushed to stand at the doorstep of the dressing room, blocking the man from going through.
"Back off Bra!" He voiced out to the man who was now standing in front of him.
"Who the fuck are you?" Kim asked rudely. He looked at the man with squinted eyes, trying to figure out who he was but he couldn't since the man kept looking down without saying a word.
The fez cap and the nose mask the man wore were partially covering his face and he was making matters worse by looking down. The whole time, his hands were in his pockets.
Kim noticed that this man was intentionally hiding his face and only God knows why. Little did he know that the man in front of him was the strange man that has been stalking his sister, Treasure.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you're deaf… and probably dumb but I'm sure you can walk so GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!" Kim angrily yelled at him.
He couldn't afford to let anyone get inside Treasure's dressing room except for Nicki because she might be changing her clothes.
Also, he wanted to protect his sister's image. Nobody must know that the club singer Tracy is Treasure.
What pissed Kim the most was that, it wasn't even a lady that was about to go inside Treasure's dressing room, it was a man. A weird-looking man for that matter. Kim was angry.
"I said GET OUT" Kim yelled again seeing that the strange man was just standing in front of him like a pillar.
The strange man inhaled sharply. He was trying his best not to get angry and violent and at last, he walked away.
"What a freak," Kim said to himself. He wondered who that strange man was.
"Kim is everything okay?"
Treasure's voice could be heard from inside her dressing room. She heard her brother yelling and she thought something serious was going on.
"Yeah.. everything is okay Tee," Kim answered, facing the door.
..
Outside the nightclub, the strange man could be seen walking out with rage. He has taken off the black color nose mask he was wearing, revealing his face that wasn't attractive to look at.
He kicked a dumpster out of anger and it fell down spilling out all the garbage that was inside. He took a deep breath and he felt a little at ease after messing up the place.
Unknowingly to everyone that was backstage at the nightclub, the strange man had a small dagger in his back pocket and if it was any other random person that had stopped him from going inside Treasure's dressing room, he wouldn't have hesitated to kill him or her just to get to Treasure.
He had been watching Kim and Treasure talking before she left for the dressing room. He didn't want to harm or kill Kim because he knows Kim so well. He knows that Kim and Treasure are siblings.
One of the major reasons he wore that nose mask was to hide his face from Kim. He knew that Kim would be able to recognize him if he had seen his bare face
*******
Monday morning at NYPD,
Carl was sitting down in his office, typing on his laptop. The time was a few minutes past eight o'clock and his substitute secretary, Cassandra still hasn't come to work. She was supposed to be at work by 7: 30 and submit files of past reports to Carl.
It's been a week since Cassandra started working at NYPD as Carl's secretary and throughout the week, she has been very punctual. Today was just different.
She was late and Carl doesn't tolerate lateness from his employees. He pays all his workers enough money that could feed their families well and he expected them to work with that same energy.
Carlos and Noah were the only employees that dared to come whenever they felt like it. Carlos's reason was that his best friend, Carl is the president of the company so he acts like the second in command and Carl is fine with that. Noah's reason was that he was Noah.
Carl was sipping coffee and typing on his laptop. He looked at his wristwatch and checked the time. It was 8: 39 pm. Carl facepalmed, regretting in his head why he hired Casandra in the first place. He was getting very impatient because he needed the files from her.
"That girl is so damn fired" he muttered. He couldn't wait to see her and fire her right away.
For the past week, Carl has been unnecessarily angry for no good reason. He's always in a bad mood and he talks less.
Some of his employee gossip amongst themselves about what was wrong with Carl and why he was acting differently. He now behaves like a cold CEO instead of the social and friendly guy everyone once knew at work.
Carl is currently in the second stage of grief which is anger and that explains why he gets angry unnecessarily. The memory of how Anne ruthlessly rejected him was still fresh in his head. He was still hurt and to let go of that hurt, he has to forget about Anne.
What's the point in pretending to be happy when you're not? That is what he usually says in his head and that was why he wasn't feigning a happy face. His expression lately just speaks what he feels inside which is pain.

Inside the staff room, where some of the employees work especially new recruits, they were all busy with their work while Audrey kept on staring at Dexter's empty seat that was next to her waiting for him to show up at work.
Dexter is not the type to come late to work and unknowing to Audrey, Dexter wasn't coming to work today. He took permission from Noah he wasn't going to show up at work till the next day.
The other day, the doctor explained to Anne and Dexter that Dexter had an internal injury and unfortunately, he sustained a fractured rib that'll take up to six weeks to heal. Thanks to the constant home treatment from the doctor, Dexter was doing better but he wasn't strong enough to come to work today.
Audrey couldn't wait any longer for Dexter to show up so decided to call him on the phone if he was coming to work or not.
However, she felt that Dexter would've at least called or texted her if he wasn't going to show up at work instead of leaving her in the dark, waiting for him to come to work.
'The number you're trying to reach is on another call…'
That was the response she got as she called Dexter on the phone. She tried again after five minutes and it was the same response.
She wondered who Dexter was talking to on the phone for that long.
