Olivia had never slept this soundly in five years. At this point, she didn't even know whether to attribute it to the fact that she hadn't felt this content in years or that the living conditions in this VIP room were just too good.
Her expression soured on realizing that she had been woken up by the sound of her cell phone ringing. "What?," She asked rudely, not even bothering to check the caller ID.
"Where are you?," It was her manager, Sasha Veen and Olivia had other things to do without spending time listening to this two-faced bitch. "The opening ceremony of 'Along With The Times' is starting in an hour. You're not planning to ditch it, are you?"
"An hour?!", The time frame seemed to instantly jolt Olivia out of her sleepy state. "And you couldn't tell me anything before now?"
"Do I look like your errand girl?", Sasha's voice couldn't have sounded more contemptuous at this point. "Just hurry up. You'd better not be late."
Right when Sasha had been about to cut the call with a click, she suddenly heard the low gravelly voice of a man that made her curl her lip even more contemptuously. This bitch was seriously still scouring the ends of the Earth for a sugar daddy, wasn't she?
"You're awake," Shawn's low morning voice made an already rattled Olivia even more jumpy as she suddenly cut the call first. "Why do you look so rattled?"
"I'm acting as the supporting lead in a new TV show and the opening ceremony is in an hour," Olivia seriously wanted to cry and maybe because she was so disturbed, she actually confided in him and poured out all her troubles. She also didn't believe that Sasha couldn't have notified her earlier. "I don't have a means to go...or what to wear!"
Olivia fell back to the bed with a thud and if it were the cartoon she used to watch when she was younger, then her ghost would best be floating comically out of her body by now.
"I can help," Shawn's look was bright and rather optimistic. "Well, the dress I might get might not be all that but it should suffice. C'mon, let's go. We can talk in the car."
Olivia barely had time to respond before she was dragged speedily off the bed and to the limo waiting outside, yelping as she was dragged along in the air like she was some balloon and not a real human being.
...
"Have you told her?," Charlotte's smile could cause anyone goosebumps as she raised her glass of wine to her lips daintily and took a lavish sip. So what if that sister of hers finally managed to score a shot in some meagre billion dollar production? She was still destined to be at the bottom of the ladder.
One hour was not even enough to get to the site of the opening ceremony. Talk less of getting herself prepped for the event. Let that stupid Olivia feel the anguish of not being able to do anything about her situation despite doing all she could to secure a cameo in the TV show where she was the female lead and statuses above her.
That no good orphan was probably forever destined to be beneath her. Making a fool of herself in front of the paparazzi at the ceremony was enough to destroy her career anyway. Not even the producers would be pleased when she turned up in a less than stellar outfit since she'd have to scrape by with some rundown cloth with her meager salary.
She would like to see them trample all over that bitch.
A good show surely awaited her.
