Bada and I walked into the building and were immediately ambushed by our manager.
" Hurry up! The stylists are here already. Why are you guys so late? "
" It's just two minutes ". Bada said and rolled his eyes
" I bet you caused it ". Manager Park said and walked towards him.
" *Hyung let's go. Manager Park is not in a good mood "
(Hyung is used by males to address another male older than them)
Bada said and chuckled. He grabbed my arm and ran towards the studio. The stylists and makeup artists hoarded us as soon as we walked in. After a while we drove out and our interview began.
" I'm sure a lot of your fans want to know how you two met "
" Oh...We get that question a lot. We met two years ago, when I was working deliveries. He was very friendly and we had some things in common, so we became friends ". I said
" Our manager saw him a couple of times and always complemented his looks and height. Our manager asked him to try auditioning for one of the upcoming dramas at the company and that was how we became partners ". Bada said and smiled at me.
" Wow. Your story would make a good movie. Your recent series, ' My wish list' was such a big hit and fans are still gushing over it "
" I'm very happy and grateful that people enjoyed it, because we dedicated a lot of time and effort to the series ". Bada said while struggling with his hair that kept covering his eye.
I reached for him and tucked his hair behind his ear and pushed it back.
" Thank you "
" Do you want me to tie it up? ". I whispered.
" No. It's fine ". He said.
The interviewer suddenly giggled and we looked up.
" I've heard that you two are always in your own world. I guess it's true "
Bada and I laughed and just nodded our heads.
" A lot of people have wondered why as onscreen partners, you live together and if there's something going on behind the scenes "
" Ah.....Back then, I didn't have a place to stay so Bada let me stay with him. After signing up with his company and becoming onscreen partners, we figured it would be easier to get our work down that way. We could go through our scripts anytime. Also because Bada never wakes up early ". I said and chuckled
" Hyung is basically a human alarm and CCTV ". Bada said.
" So you two are not a couple? ". The interviewer asked.
" Bada is someone I would like to protect "
" Hyung is someone I really respect and cherish "
" Alright. In your short career together, what have you learnt from each other so far? "
" Hyung has taught me to respect and cherish my family. He always tells me to call home and just say hi ". Bada said.
" Bada is very carefree and nice. I've learnt not to dwell on my problems or shortcomings and instead, focus on ways to improve myself ". I said and ruffled his hair.
" What inspired you both to take up acting? "
I took a deep breath and looked down at my now shaky hand. I balled my hands into a fist and slowly looked up.
" Ah...I was not a very bright student, so I never got good grades but I was good at acting. I became interested in acting when I was seven because of my uncle, so I always joined the drama clubs. My parents were very supportive when I chose acting over college ". Bada said.
" Uhmm....There was someone I wanted to protect and help but I wasn't able to, because of how incompetent I was. I wanted to better and improve myself enough to be able to support them. A lot of things had happened and so, I saw the acting opportunity as a chance to start anew and become a better person while experiencing life ". I said while fighting back the tears.
LEE TAEMIN
I turned off the television after the interview ended and Eunsoo and his friend walked out. I smiled softly and held the cushion closer to my chest. I got startled when my phone suddenly started ringing.
" Hongjoong what's up? ". I said
" I'm heading out now. What colour do you want the materials to be? "
" You are so forgetful. Beige....I want beige coloured materials. If you make a mistake, I swear I'm going to shave off your eyebrows "
" Relax I'll get it right ". He said and laughed
" You better write it down "
" Fine. Should we have barbecue and drinks tonight? "
" Absolutely. I'll text Suah "
" Okay. Oh and remind her to bring my food container. She's been holding it hostage for two weeks"
" Okay. See ya "
I got off the couch and went into my workshop. I stayed there for a while, working on new designs for our new outfit line. After a call from Suah, I took a quick bath and headed out.....
" Ya Taemin! We're over here "
I hurried over to them and sat next to Hongjoong.
" Aargh.....I was almost caught in traffic ". I said
" You came with your car? ". Suah said.
" No. I took a taxi ". I replied.
" Oh okay "
" Hongjoong you got them right? "
" Yeah I did. The pink ones right? ". He said absentmindedly as he put the grilled meat in his mouth
" Ya! ". I screamed.
Hongjoong and Suah suddenly burst into laughter.
" I'm just joking. Beige ". He said amidst laughter
" Idiot ". I said and gulped my beer
"Suah...how's your cousin? ". Hongjoong asked.
" Which one? Julie or Kevin? I still can't believe you asked the both of them out ". Suah said.
" What do you expect from this perverted fellow? "
" I haven't dated any foreigners yet. I asked both of them out because they're both my style besides it's also for backup ". Hongjoong said nonchalantly.
" Luckily, they're not interested in perverted idiots ". Suah said and hit his head.
" You don't even like them and you wouldn't even last two weeks". I said.
" Come on it's not even my fault that I get bored easily and besides I never cheat". He said with a shrug.
" I hope you meet someone that will put you on a leash ". Suah said.
We drank and ate till late at night and then parted ways. I sat quietly in the cab, just staring out of the window. The cool air and calm night lulled me to sleep in no time.
